Emma made a face at Herald for another second before looking away "Alright then..." She let out a small sigh before she noticed they were still holding hands. She blushed slightly before she chose to sit down glancing at the flowers near her. Her tail swayed slightly as she cautiously touched on of the petals on a flower near her.

Never Again...Herald didn't look at her until she sat down. The petal was soft and smooth to the touch, created specifically to be that way. He looked down at her as she did so, wondering how she would react to it though he didn't let it show on his face. Will I be bound in chains

As Emma observed the flower in front of her, a smile appeared on her face as she touched it. She let go a few moments later and just sat there, admiring the plant before her.

Never Again...Herald allowed a quick smile to appear before it vanished. "You like it then?" He asked her. Though he was fairly certain of the answer, he somehow wanted to hear her say it. Will I be bound in chains

"I do. These flowers are very beautiful." Emma responded as she stared at the one flower a bit longer before looking up at Harold and smiling at him.

Never Again...Herald nodded to her. "I remembered them from a long time ago. Sometimes....very rarely....the Arena Master would take us to fight at another Arena. We were under heavy guard when we traveled though. But one time the truck we were in broke down and we had to get out. When I stepped out, we were on a country road in the middle of nowhere. And I saw this." He stretched his hand out towards the field of flowers and the view around them. "I...never forgot it."Will I be bound in chains

Emma continued smiling up at Herald "You are very lucky you got to see that then." she told him. She felt a hint of jealousy as she heard him speak. She had never seen flowers like this, she usually was let out into a war zone where everything was dead.

Never Again...Herald gave a chuckle. "It was the only time," he told her as he looked out at the field of flowers. "I can't say I'd ever seen anything like it; or anything since....until now. I'd almost forgotten that an outside world existed."Will I be bound in chains

Emma looked towards Herald after he finished speaking. Smiling once again towards him, she nodded in response. For the first time since escaping, she felt a rush of relief at her friend's words. She looked back towards the flower "Even though I went through all of those things... I am glad they happened. Otherwise I wouldn't be here..." she said, blushing slightly before trailing off. She seemed to want to add something to her statement but seemed a bit intimidated to finish it. Instead, she moved closer to Herald and leaned against him slightly.

"That is understandable." Emma said as she smile softly towards him she glanced away as she seemed to think something over "I wouldn't say I am glad exactly... more of I have come to accept that these things happened for a reason." she said as she touched another flower near her. "I never want to be locked up again though... I still feel like I am still partially trapped because of the mark on my neck. It is like a chain, it just holds bad memories and things I wouldn't want to happen to anyone else." she explained. She didn't have scars on her body surprisingly. The higher ups that were in charge of the facility she was trapped in made sure they didn't have any signs of being tortured. That way the subjects just looked like they were born insane and blood crazed, not forced into it.
