It was a fickle thing, luck. Ayrie stretched out and another sailed past her. It was all about patience and determination to get to where she needed to be, to do what she needed to do. A few had seemed to gather nearby and she crossed her arms, watching over them with a predatory gaze.

It had paid off and she grinned at another one. It was another step closer and she stretched out after putting it away. The entire area was still glowing and movement caught her eye. Maybe it would be her last, or maybe she'd lose and be able to leap into another flock of them and feel their warmth.
Surely it wasn't too bad but still defeated the purpose of doing what she needed to do. Her ears flicked and she seemed to acknowledge the thought as she continued on.

Andie tilted his head at her as he watched. "I just did. Maybe they are playing hard to get with you?" he suggested with a shrug. He didn't go after any other fragments, having five now and he wasn't sure what the female would do if he managed to get another and she didn't. "I'm Andie." He introduced his self.

Everything was tinged with red, just like her core.
Three towers stretched upwards, before her, and Mnezara stared, wondering where the tip of the towers reached. But something else caught her attention; plus Mnezara was not very fond of the idea of climbing the stairs of a never ending tower anyway. A light floated before her, and without even thinking, she reached out a hand and grasped it.
A deep booming voice filled her ears and her breath caught.

"Aha!" The word came out of her when she had finally managed to sneak up another and grab it. She was getting closer to her goal which seemed to be lingering in her mind to be about 5. "5 is about right." She stuffed it away quickly and moved on. Since luck seemed against her she wanted the momentum to carry it onward, if it was even possible.
This was all she knew so far and this is what she was going to do.

Seeing another shard just a couple inches away, she steps away from Andie to go check it out. Bending down carefully, she doesn't even try to grab it, but instead poke at it. When it was gone, she just sighs as she stands up. Moving back to him, she push her hair from her face "Koala May, and you seem to be having better luck then I am." crossing her arms, she just shrugs as she glance around them again.
Seriously, there had to be one, just one she could pick up.

Eir returned to the square to find...well, he didn't expect anything else. Everyone's still jumping here and there, trying to catch Fragments.
Hmm.
Something clicked. Can he help others by gathering the Fragments?
There's one drifting near him. It would be an easy catch, just like the ones before-
Snap.
But his hands only grasped thin fog. Did having a slightly more corporeal body throws his aim off? with new weight or whatsoever.

And it was beginning to pay off as she managed to get a hold of another. Finally one had been easy and before she could even jump for one it floated across her face and she nabbed it as it floated by. It was somewhat confusing that after so much hardship she had managed to catch one so easily, but she shrugged it off.

It hadn't required a real leap but she did it anyways for the sake of doing so. The fifth fragment glowed softly in her palms and she reached back into her pocket and pulled out the others, feeling the warmth from them in her hands. It was a sort of beauty that... went over her head, but the lights from them did interest her enough. She wondered if she should really give them up, but the thought was fleeting and she looked towards the shrine.
A smile came back to her lips and she walked towards it, feeling rather accomplished.
