The tension was rising, bit by bit... and it was all because Jasmine had to open her mouth and hope that her and Nakano could have some civil words.
"Don't get me wrong." Jasmine spoke up again, stopping where she was mid-stride and turning back, answering before Ironclaw could. "I said I'm not a fighter. But I didn't say I won't fight without good reason."
"And fighting you just so you can keep score isn't good reason."
"For instance, if you attacked with all of your pokémon? I'm not afraid to ask the others for help to make you stop. So please keep that in mind." Jasmine about turned fully, her lone eye glaring red at the girl, "If you can't be cordial with my pokémon either, then just go and sit down and ignore them, alright?"
"And then ask yourself if fighting me is really worth that much trouble to you?" She pointed her crutch for the moment. "If you REALLY want a fight, then at least ask me for one formally and set the rules."
"Please show some class when we're representing the school as guests?" Jasmine asked with a weary sigh.

"Make me stop ...class, you really don't know me do you?"
Nakano almost laughed at that one as she pointed at Ironclaw.
"Anyway, if you want to hide behind being a medic and being all tough when you think you might get reinforcement. You might want to check your attitude at the door ...your overgrown ...chicken is the one ruffling feathers. SO, the one without any class ...is you missy, since that steel plate dodo is your responsibility. I just told you my piece about ...understanding I want no truce with you. Though she wants a battle, I can agree ...we have done enough already without more wounds ...but, I won't go easy on her ...or you."
"IF you want a battle, I will crush you ...simple as that. Ask everyone you want for help, I won't falter either."
The girl would cross her arms as she made that proclamation. Though that wouldn't lower the tension at all as Carrot continue his glaring.
(Your answer ...doll face. I still need to know ...what fight are you asking me to sit out?)
He would tell her with a slight swoon in his voice despite his flicking tails and heat. No one was letting the Skarmory out of this one, either she back down, confirm her words, or ....gave Carrot something to hope for. Either way, everyone was clear ...the stand off wasn't over.
Nakano would get more than a hiss at the 'overgrown chicken' comment, but step by step, it seemed Jasmine was back now, crutching her way back toward the other girl now, making sure however, she stood between Nakano's pokémon and hers.
[Humph!] The Skarmory positively spat aside, not taking her eyes off of Nakano's Skarmory, speaking aside to Carrot at the same time she did Nakano. [I just told fuzzy to stay out of the fight that's coming up... from where I'm standing, you're looking ready to fight... Never said I'd be the one starting it.]
"There you have it." Jasmine declared. "We haven't asked to start a fight-"
[But we don't mind finishing one.] Ironclaw hissed at Carrot in particular.
[Consider the honeymoon over.] Burnout advised from where he hovered above the group to the Vulpix.
"How about we do this differently?" Jasmine suddenly spoke up, trying to quickly stop any more comments from her team that could go further.
"If you're really so riled up, work out your frustrations another day. A contest of some sort. Heck, fight ME instead of my pokémon if you want. It's not like I'd break any bones in the real world if you hurt me here."
"But I won't- WE won't break our own rules," She said decisively, for any member of her team who was about to consider jumping the gun, Ironclaw letting out another small hiss. "Either challenge us, or just give us space, because this is a really, really small place and like it or not, you can't ask us to fly away from you."
"And considering we just risked all our lives to fight for peace in this place, I think it would be really bad to go five minutes later and start tearing it apart all over again, don't you?"

"SWEET ARCEUS WHY?!"
Both Bellona and Gilles were having a... time atop the Steelix. Perhaps a certain Dark Avenger could save them? Their trainer certainly wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention... which, given the egg in her lap had started to glow and crack, wasn't surprising. To her left, she heard Momo dealing with the same problem... only hers was a bit bigger. Vanni rolled neatly out of the way of the giant Ponyta, carefully not to crush the creature in her arms. The trainer glanced down to see a yawning Tyrogue in her arms, and she couldn't help but smile. A new friend.
Culann, who was content to just ignore the Gligar sobbing hysterically in his tail, watched with interest. He peered over as best he could, looking at the Tyrogue."Hey there, boyo," Culann would remark gently, wondering how this one would act. Maybe he would finally get another partner in sanity?
The Tyrogue's focus turned from the trainer to the Growlithe, and hazel eyes would narrow in frustration. "I AM NO MAN, FIEND!" In one fluid movement, the Tyrogue would lunge forward, grab Culann, and raise him up over her head. "I am a Lady of Justice! A warrior for equality, and all that is good in the world! I am the terror that punches the night! I am..." the Tyrogue paused, blinking. "I do not have a name as of yet! But once I find one, it shall be glorious, and strike fear into the hearts of all evil-doers!"
"You're a loony, you are," grumbled Culann from his awkward position.
Vanni, on the other hand, would watch the whole scene with surprisinly engaged curiosity. The Tyrogue claimed to be female, but as far as she knew, all Tyrogue were biological male. Yet, who was she to pass judgement on what anyone was? It wasn't as though she had the clearest sense of identity, so if her Tyrogue said she was a girl, Vanni had no issue. Instead, she applauded her newest teammate. "Excellent! I've always wanted a warrior of Justice; we need a little more of that in the world." She tapped her index finger against the side of her cheek, observing the Tyrogue. "Is Makoto an acceptable name, dear? It seems to fit you. And please, set Culann down; he's had a trying day."
The Tyrogue's attention once again snapped back to her smiling trainer. It took a moment, but a broad smile spread across her face. "Makoto! Mother, that is wonderful! I shall cherish my name forever, and let it be a symbol of my burning passion." With unusual gentleness, she placed the indiginant Growlithe on the ground, and bowed politely. "My apologies for my enthusiasm, Mister Culann; I hope you are not injured!"
Culann just stared a bit longer, before shaking his head. "It's whatever, girlie. I just need a nap. For like a week. Vanni, summer child, I love you, but please."
The trainer would lean over, give her firedog a firm, affectionate scratch, and recalled him. She'd give her bouncing Tyrogue another smile, completely unaware of the impromptu adventure her other Pokemon were going on. However, Momo was able to get her attention with the question. To be honest, Vanni hadn't been paying too much attention to the strange orbs. She glanced between their sets of orbs; really she didn't see much of a difference, but if Momo really wanted... "Certainly, choose whichever of mine you like." Assuming that held true for her as well, given the flexible girl, Vanni reached over to Momo's, curiously observing the oddly-smiling Trapinch...
Momo had been waiting for Vanni's reply. As soon as the girl responded and then chosen an orb, the Spinda girl's attention was already elsewhere. The girl had been paying attention to her Ponyta and the pony's ears kept flickering back and forth until they rested against his skull. Was there danger around? "What's wrong, Azure?"
The pony pawed at the ground with a hoof, tossing his head slightly. He could sense the dangerous aura radiating from...over....there! Head turning, he pointed in the direction of Jasmine and Nakano. From their stances, it looked like a fight was about to occur. Were they arguing? The Ponyta felt the urge to stop the fight. There shouldn't be any fighting here. Everyone was supposed to be mingling peacefully weren't they? ">I apologize, milady but I must do something!<" That being said, he burst into a gallop heading directly towards the two gathered girls and their pokemon. Rearing up to his full height, he let out a loud whinny trying to get their attention. ">Stop! My dear ladies, there is no need for such animosity!<" he proclaimed.
As Azure galloped away with Momo on his back, the girl looked anxious. "Sorry, Vanni! We'll be right back! Excuse us!" As they arrived and Azure planted all four of his hooves on the ground, the girl turned tilting her head curiously to the side before glancing once at Jasmine and then Nakano. "Hi Jasmine and Nakano! What's everyone doing over here?" she asked smiling brightly.

Suzaku would smirk at that comment as Carrot had tears in his eyes as he hissed at the lampent. That weak flame was once more getting in his way ...as he tries to keep the tears from rolling down his face.
(The honeymoon can't be over ...I never got to enjoy any sweet nectar of the moon)
Eclipse would look at him as though he was a dirty thing. Hell he was being insulted and he still didn't rise to that bait at all. Or at least, not to the bait that he figure he should be rising too ...as Suzaku would answer with a clack of claws on the ground.
(I only fight ...with other Skarmory, not metal chickens ...I wasn't going to start anything with the feather duster)
Nakano smiled at that bit of lip as she lock her hands behind her head.
"I guess it's a misunderstanding then ...because, we aren't going to start nothin' ...but, like your trash metal just said ...we don't mind finishing a battle. Also, don't try to push your morals on me either ...I fight the way I fight, and I don't play by rules so if you want to battle ...let's go. If not, I don't play games with cripples ...it's not far to them."
Eclipse would finally step around the legs of Suzaku ...as she took the forefront for a moment. Her eyes would go the metal bird and then to the flaming pokemon as she tries to figure out something.
(We were peaceful before our trainers got involved ....I can see how letting them fight it out would be good. But, I can see how it can be bad, because, I for one ...won't like it if my trainer wasn't the winner.
Though a contest sounds interesting ...and it will keep us from killing each other in the meantime.)
The disaster pokemon could see one coming at this rate, and true to her kind, she was doing what she could to avert it as Nakano looks down at her and huff. Carrot would once more gain hearts at her wisedom and Suzaku's eye were still lock on Iron claw.
(What do you say?)
"If it's your idea, I can agree Eclipse."
Nakano's response was smooth, and then she looked at Jasmine.
Jasmine blinked, looking up and around to see Momo appear, on the back of a shining Ponyta no less. Jasmine couldn't help admire the beautiful creature for a moment, having to shake her head slightly.
"Oh, Momo..." She had to try and measure herself... she certainly didn't want to be the one who snapped at the girl amid their argument now.
"At the moment... I believe we're learning about whether or not we're about to find ourselves in a fight."
And Nakano's words certainly gave no hint of the tension dying any less, a guttural growl coming from Ironclaw at those comments from Suzaku... and with Nakano calling for more....
It was then that Eclipse spoke up... and Jasmine had to admit, even if Nakano would not listen to her... if the Absol would work as an intermediate...
Jasmine's smile held back a sigh of relief. "Certainly, I've nothing against friendly competition here."

Nakano was a bit surprise to see that Momo would come over with the sparks in the air around them, but then again the girl was a bit weird. Though, it was Nakano's time to get big hearts in her eyes.
"A SHINY PONYTA, so cool .....definitely ninja material."
She would coo as another voice would cut through as Carrot jumped out in front of the horse.
(Hey, these are my ladies ...bug off!)
His flames were radiating once more as he recognize the male for being one like himself...a silver tongue play boy. That was his job and he had no plans of giving it up to anyone as his fur stood on end.
Eclipse only rolled her eyes at their action as Nakano would cough once.
"It's okay, we are having just a bit of a discussion here on how to treat each other. I promise ...we won't hurt each other....too much."
(Or at all)
Eclipse would state sharply. She would flick her tail against the ground ...
(THough I won't call this a friendly competition ...it's obvious that we aren't friends, but one without blood shed is good enough for me ...have anything in mind?)
She was directing it at Jasmine as Suzaku would smile at Ironclaw.
(Seems I don't get a chance to pluck you this time)
Jasmine couldn't help chuckle in to herself... at least they could all be in agreement of how wonderfully awesome that new pokémon Momo had was.
But for now... it seemed they had an accord... if only a small one, as she would make sure to address Eclipse over anyone else just now. She paused, just a second at Ironclaw's hissing once more to Suzaku's comments...
"Well... it occurs to me that we both have a Skarmory..."
"So how about an aerial task?"
Eyes went slowly to Jasmine...
"Burnout will make constructs in mid-air for us, rings to fly through, and PKE can wait at the end with a set of eggs to be grabbed. First one to grab the egg and return safely wins?"

Momo listened as both to what Jasmine and then Nakano both said. They were just talking? In fact, she did feel like some of the tension from earlier wasn't so bad. Maybe they weren't going to actually fight anymore? Good, good! "It's good no one is fighting. What kind of competition will you both be having?" The argument seemed to die down as soon as both girls noticed Azure. The Ponyta was quite popular with the ladies.
Azure watched as the fox leapt in front of him and the pony simply stared. Once the fire fox told him to 'bug off', the other fire pokemon let the remark slide right down his coat. Seeing flames fly from the other male was supposed to be intimidating? He did sense the vicious aura from earlier was dying and so he felt content that they had come over. It was good nothing violent was going to happen. It was true things happened but only in the most extreme of circumstances. Keeping his attention on the fire fox, he spoke. ">But faith, good sir! I have no wish to abscond these young women. However, in interest of fairness, might I remark that these ladies more than likely belong to themselves, you rapacious rogue? Allow them to speak for themselves!<"

"It shouldn't be the only competition either ...otherwise ...it won't be satisfying enough, so a best two out of three."
Nakano would declare to Eclipse as the Absol found herself in between two ideas. She suddenly felt like she should have kept her mouth shut as the two girl's were directing their answers at her as she nods slowly.
(I don't know about risking eggs for this one ....a slip up can cause a real disaster, so no, but how about ....do you have any small pokemon? Carrot is light enough that Suzaku can fly with him, so she can pick him up and carry him back to the finish line and your Rotom looks small enough to be the second pokemon. Though I don't want to be pushy about your choice.)
Eclipse would declare as she felt heat on her neck from her own trainer. She sighed again.
(In the interest of fairness, you can come up with the second event if Jasmine agree to having more than one.)
That made Nakano smile as Carrot would at first nod at the fact that the ponyta wasn't threaten his territory, but his next words made his fur fluffy. Did this horse have smoke for brains ...he saw a trap when the heat was on, and he was good at moving around them by now. It would seem that this ponyta wasn't exactly backing down afterall.
(Of course the ladies have a mind of their own and belong to no one but themselves, but, I don't want you to try and make yourself a choice for them ...either. YOu can't choose something that don't exist, so I will repeat again ..get lost)
The firefox would tell the blue flame pony. He understood a lot more than he was playing at ....as Suzaku seem to tilt her wings slightly. She could see her anger, but better yet, plans were being put into place to let her handle this ....weak steel.
"I don't know yet, but ...how about this...can you think up a third event for us? That way ...we don't have to get into another struggle over who will come up up with it."
It would seem that Nakano didn't care if Jasmine agreed to a best two out of three anyway. If they were doing it ...they were doing it her way.

"Two out of three is fine by me." Jasmine declared simply. "However... don't risk anyone else on this test... I'd never have suggested something that could harm a pokémon... egg or not."
"You see," the girl rummaged in her item back, before proudly picking out the two strange eggs...
The Toxic Egg... and the XIII egg. "I happened to find these items on my travels... they should serve to carry them through the challenge and all. and I've tested them, they're actually pretty sturdy that I won't worry about them too much."
Well... Jasmine seemed straight enough in her train of thought... and Ironclaw's hissing had stopped, standing tall, she saw her chance now to make this test.... she'd prove quick enough who really owned this roost!
Nakano would ask as Eclipse would walk over carefully and sniff them trying to determine if they were hardboil or something. She had no clue either ...as Nakano would instinctively place one hand protectively over the egg she was carrying.
(If it's alright with you ..I won't argue ...these are your eggs afterall.)
Eclipse would declare as Suzaku nods only once. She was ready to get this started afterall as she would turn away from Ironclaw after that.
(We will handle this in the sky)
She told the Skarmory as she would finally start to walk away. She would settle on the ground ...as she turned her head back to glare. In just a moment, the threats would end, and she would show that metal plated ....chicken who is the master of the skies.

Azure continued to look at the fox curiously. The fire pokemon's fur had fluffed up after hearing his words. Why though? Instead he saw that everything was calming down. The fight they had been determined to keep from emerging was gone. Instead there was going to be a competition but there was no harm in that. Shrugging the thought away, he turned to address the fox one last time."> "Good sir, you seem discomposed and discombobulated. I have no wish to trade wits with such a snapper head as yourself, so I will allow you to take solace in your dear lady and wish you good day. May you recover well!"<" With a flick of hisblue flamed tail, the Ponyta began walking away.
Momo smiled. She was glad when they decided not to fight after all! The girl remembered that they needed to get back to Vanni! They had left her behind for too long. Feeling apologetic, she felt relieved when Azure turned away and began walking. Momo turned slightly, waving goodbye."Have fun with your competition!" she said happily as the pair made their way back to Vanni. "Sorry about that...I hope you aren't mad." The girl dismounted off of Azure before reaching for the Magikarp orb. As she held the orb, the girl then remembered something. Oh, right! Rummaging in her bag with her free hand, she took out two objects. One was the Flame Charge as she looked at the Ponyta in front of her. A fire pokemon needed a fire move, right? The girl gently tapped him on the head with it. Placing it back within her bag, she then pulled out a small round red and white ball. She tossed it lightly at the Ponyta watching as the pokemon was engulfed in a red light. The ball rocked back and forth but it stopped while the red center faded to white. Releasing Azure back out, she then placed the pokeball amongst the others on her belt. Now Azure was officially hers!
