"Let's do this," Darian says, the thrill of combat already entering his body. There were times when he seemed to crave battle, this was one of them. "They know we're coming, meaning they probably had something to do with the raid on our village. They won't escape twice."

Jay nods as he fits an arrow in the bow.
"Jay, let the first sound of the fray fly," Kitara says, starting to get a taste of adrenaline.
He releases the bow and it flies surely until it lodges in a soldier's jugular. The soldier gaps before falling to the ground, dead. His companions see the three blue haired beings and come out of their hiding spot.
Jay quickly starts releasing arrows as the two cousin elves dive into the fight, their swords flying gracefully as they make their presence known.

Lael gasps when Jay turns into his human form. I had no idea... she thinks. However she is soon unable to watch as the fighting begins. In the bushes alone she throws up from the sounds she hears. It sounds... Just like when my village was.... They're the evil ones though. I shouldn't feel sorry for them! She covers her ears and tries to wait to fighting out.

Darian gracefully swings his sword at the throat of on of the men, decapitating him. He then thrusts at another, the elf's longsword penitrates straight through the man's chest. He swings again, missing his target slightly and chopping the man's arm off before trying again and successfully chopping the man in half.

Kitara finds herself fighting the soldiers almost as her cousin is doing so, though not decaptitating them. She hears a whistle and looks up to see Jay almost pined to a tree.
"Oh dear me! I never got a sword for him!" she curses before making her way to Jay's side. She fights the soldiers away from Jay before turning to him and asking in bluejay, "Are you okay, Jay?"
He nods before pointing to the bow in his hands then pointing to the empty quiver he carries.
She places a hand on his arm, "I realize you're out of arrows, but that's okay. I'm glad you're okay."
((Ooc: Okay, fyi, Kitara and Jay have travelled so long with each other that they've sorta fallen for each other. It sucks to be them because Jay has a shorter lifespan than Kitara, but they still stick to each other's side as much as possible. Hope that makes sense.))

Jay points to something behind the elf and she turns, moving her sword to block an attack.
"Not cool," she says before she gets into a sword fight with a lone soldier.
She finishes him off and, taking his sword, slips back to Jay's side. She hands him the sword.
"Now you can fight some more," she says, taking the bow, "Just stay close to me, 'kay?"
He nods as they make their way back to get near Darian. Soon they have a triangle formed, each dealing with a side as all of their opponents come down upon them.

Darian gracfully slays the soldiers running at him. Out of the corner of his eye he thinks he sees a cloaked figure retreating into the forest, though only for an instant. He can not afford to lose his focus now and concentrates on the battle at hand, he could think about the figure later.

Kitara sees the cloaked figure because he is in her range of sight. She gets rid of a soldier in front of her and grabs the dead soldier's sword. Careful of her cousin and of Jay, she raises the sword above her head. She chucks the sword with ease, catching him in the back.
She shakes her head, continuing to defend her section, "Almost done."

Darian looks over his shoulder and sees the sword peirce the mans back. He doubted it was the one he had encountered in the village. If it was then why had it been so simple for Kitara to kill him? Darian reasoned that it must be a different one, perhaps a look-alike sent to distract him. The elf thrusts at one final soldier before says, "All done on this side. How are you two holding up?"

Kitara finishes quickly before turning around and helping Jay finish off. She sighs, leaning on Jay's arm.
"Yeh, we're done," she replies.
Jay says something to her and she closes her eyes, nodding to him, "I know Jay, I know. I wish you didn't have to, but I know you'll have to. I wish you didn't have to, though."

Lael is squatting behind the buch with her eyes covered by her hands. Hearing the battle stop she waits a few minutes before calling, "C-C-Can I come o-out now?"

"Yes," Darian calls back, "It's safe." He then turns to Kitara and expresses his thoughts about the cloaked figure she had slain.

His cousin listens to his thoughts before she turns to the soldier. She kicks at him, making sure he is dead.
"He's definitely dead," she says before turning back to him, "I don't know, cousin. Maybe it was a decoy or something."
A flash comes from behind her and she turns back to the dead soldier. It seems like the being looked different now, though still dead. She kicks it before squatting by it, Jay coming up behind her quickly. She studies the being for a second then turns to her cousin.
"Um, cousin, this guy's not the same soldier I killed...."

Darian curses. Whoever the cloaked figure was he, or she, was certainly skilled in dark magic of some sort. "I wonder what other surprises our cloaked friend has in store for us." Darian says, using the term friend with heavy sarcasm.
