Tahigwa, post two

Tahigwa's antennae twitched rather oddly as Besian's voice roared through the arena. What the ******** was a king? Why did it want to take over Tendaji? Was it something she could stab to death? Because she really wanted to. She jumped to her feet and cupped her hands over her mouth.

"We should go now and attack it!" She screamed.

Pahana, post two

"Tahiiii..." Pahana whined, frowning up to her "sister." Violence wasn't always the answer! Maybe the king was just lonely and wanted attention, why else would he want to make everyone be his friend? Wasn't that what Besian was saying? She shook her head and copied Tahigwa's stance.

"We should send him presents! Maybe he'd stop being mean!" She cried.

Ogbonna, post two

Now Ogbonna was a simple child with simple wishes and desires. He wanted to run free and eat his weight in meat. He liked to climb trees and make his uncles chase him around. Besian's words didn't really register with Ogbonna, not in the very least, but his turquoise eyes did catch onto something else. He smirked and jumped up to his feet.

"They hugged! They must be in love!" He squealed, laughing. "Big guy and Ice Lady are in looooove! Congratulations!"

Oulixes post 3

Oulixes gave a little snort, "There is no maybe about it." He told Yaholo, then nodded in agreement when the other guy commented about how he got himself into a lot of bad situations. At the mention of how Yaholo didn't want to bother anybody, that he didn't want to spread his misfortune, the swordsman almost smiled, "I know that feeling all too well." He avoided people, those he liked especially, because he didn't want to risk them getting in trouble because of him. To hear Yaholo say the same thing, it would almost be amusing if it didn't show why the two of them really shouldn't be around each other. They were likely to end up destroying one another in the end, something that Oulixes couldn't allow. He didn't want to give Yaholo all of his misfortune as well as that which the dark skinned man already had.

"Hm? This guy? I don't know, he seems to have everyone tense so I doubt he's a good omen." He said, though he was starting to realize that maybe the man with the fiery crystals wasn't normal. Nobody seemed to react as though they had seen someone like him before, meaning that he had to be both a stranger in these lands and perhaps dangerous. His words a moment later that boomed across the arena reaching even though in the nose bleed seats had Oulixes's eyes going wide... then he gave a sighing sound, "That sound rather awful, doesn't it?"

He found himself debating for a moment before he said, "We should go. If the man is gathering his forces to come through the pass to attack it wouldn't be a good thing for you to be here. You aren't at your best." It put Yaholo in danger, if the giant's king were to send his forces in it might mean the end of Yaholo given his present state. Not something that he wanted to allow. The question was would the others hear this news, those like Chal, was he already trying to get his little tiny sons out of the way? Bah, this tournament had gone from good training and an interesting diversion to way more worry then he liked... though it was almost refreshing to worry about something other then his father for once. This chance of pace was almost welcome in a morbid sense.

Yaholo, post seven

Yaholo held his hands to the sides of his forehead and cringed as Besian spoke. Augh, was that guy loud or what? It also didn't help very much that he was in pain and couldn't really understand what the giant guy was saying anyway. Something about Oba, a king, and succumbing to his rule. Screw it, he wasn't up for that s**t right now, he'd let his elder know when he felt like beating the s**t out of something again. For now, all he wanted was to get that potion and rest. He gazed up to Oulixes and nodded.

"You're right, I should be somewhere else." He smiled, though awkwardly. "But all my other friends were hovering over me and... Yeah... I just wanted to hide and see what everyone was so fussed about." He chuckled. Ilyra and the others were great and he really cared about them, but when it came to being surrounded by more than two of them at a time... NOPE, evasive action now, please! He stood and wobbled, before moving forward. "Where should we go? Is there anywhere calm left to go?"

Oulixes post 4

Was there anywhere calm left to go? He seemed to be thinking on it for a time before he finally shook his head, "I came from Zena, across Sauti, Tale, and Jauhar and I have yet to find a place that was considered 'calm' since danger is everywhere. Even this new land Oba is apparently far from it so... I have to say I don't know where we should go, just likely not near the pass that this giant is talking about." So long as they went away from that place surely they would be in less danger then if they were to stick around here, right? Though he couldn't help but to be curious as to what it was that the big guy was hoping to accomplish by gathering everyone together. He didn't exactly seem like he was of the same 'conquering' mindset since he appeared to be holding the hand of a Wind Tribeswoman. A part of him was curious as to what he might say next, another part just wanted to get Yaholo away from this place.

"First things first, we will tell your friends that we are going. I'd rather them not set about searching for you when you aren't around since it would put them in danger." That wouldn't really be good of either of them now would it? Alright, so warn his friends, maybe get an idea about what the giant was thinking, then they would leave. His loyalty and worry was meant for only a select few, once he knew where they were and that they weren't sticking around so close to the danger he was only too happy to disappear. Not as though he wanted to get caught up in Oba's war after all.

Niadra

She was looking at him, as was every other person there. "Senja have you ever seen anyone like him?" she asked curiously. She hadn't, which was odd, but maybe Senja had?

As he spoke up her jaw hit the floor. War? There couldn't be war, what would she do? You didn't need dancers during war, you needed warriors, which this proved she was not. And what of Nyiim? Would they make him fight? Her sweet Nyiim, what if something were to happen to him! "Senja... What do we do?" she moved closer to her friend, scare for her life and those around her.

Briella

She smiled and lead her sister towards Dyakida's stall, though as she did she heard people talking of an odd man who spoke of war and a king. This wasn't good. "Kaalina, come on we have to get to Dyakida. Something is happening and we might have to leave soon. Keep on the look out for Ilyra as well, I don't know where she has gotten too." she said as she both raced towards Dyakida and looked for Ilyra.

Zuri

Zuri watched as it all unfolded and then Biroki was at her side again. "No he shouldn't dear. Come on, let's go towards the odd man. Maybe we will find out what everything is about."

Forgetting about her sickness she made her way towards the center, and when she became aware of what was being said she was astonished. War? No, this was bad. "Love am I hearing him correctly?" she asked with a bit of curiosity and a bit of fear in her eyes.

Lasarra

She nodded. To say the man was huge would be an understatement. The fact that her sister had never seen someone like him was worrisome. Spotting Rayolun she waved towards him and walked over with Kelina.

As the big man spoke she grabbed Kelina's hand. No, this wasn't okay. She had only found her sister and war was bad. No, Kelina and her would have to sit this one out. There was no way she would allow her sister to go to this battle, and what about Rayolun? She didn't want to lose him either.

[Kaalnia: with Briella]
Kaalnia's eyes widened. Holy s**t. Did that man say what she thought he said? That meant fighting. That meant War. She knew vaguely what war was, and now she had an idea of how people in a war fought. Not for fun or for show, but for death. She wasn't sure if she liked that idea.
"Yeah... Keeping my eyes peeled."
Especially not if it happened to her sister. Fuuuuck, what would happen if... if something happened to Brie... No. No way. Brie was too awesome for something to happen to her. Besides, it wasn't happening now. Now they had to find Dyakida and all that jazz.
"Ain't that 'kida's stall over there?" she asked, unsure. She hadn't visited the stall at all today, though she had heard Dyakida was setting up at the tournament. Made perfect sense. Kaalnia wished she had had some things to sell too. Merchants got lots of girls.

[Biroki: With Zuri]
He followed Zuri, though he was unhappy about her tone. She was treating him like a child, or like an invalid who couldn't do anything without help. He felt lightning lap at his consciousness. He didn't have enough energy to let it loose or even show his frustration at being treated this way.
Besides, there were more pressing things. Like war.
He put an arm around Zuri protectively, which helped the frustration a little.
"I th-think you are, Zuri..." He said, looking warily out into the arena, "Theres going to be trouble." he pulled her closer, "Either way, I'll be th-there. With you."
He still loved her, even when she treated him like this. He could see no way he could not love her. And he would be by her side. He'd promised her that at their wedding and he never would break it.

[Dyakida: At her Stand]
The murmurings started up again. The man's announcement was loud and clear, carrying over the crowd's white noise.

"Invasion?!"
"What do we do?"
"Whats a king?"

The crowd's reactions, Dyakida realized, were part fear, part confusion, and part confidence. They were afraid of the death that would come with what would be likely a harrowing war. They were confused: Why was this man here? Why was he telling them? What was a king? What did he mean.
They were confident and excited: They could take these Oba-nese on! Bring it!

Dyakida was calm. For her, the situation had not changed. There was already strife, and a war meant more strife. Her sisters had a chance to be killed every day- by predators, by earthlings, by accident, and by their own folly. And now, by war.

Nothing had changed. As long as there was strife, there was a need for strong and able bodied warriors. As long as warriors were needed, those warriors would need weapons.

If anything... she realized, Its great for me from a business and activity point of view anyway.

But... she realized, What if I lose Briella or Ilyra or Maya or another sister who I care about? It was a dark thought, What then? Is it still business?

Yes it was. As she knew, her sisters were in danger every day of their lives. It was just how life worked. Life had to end.

in the end, she realized with a sinkingly resigned feeling in her gut, it changed very little at all.

Kelina squeezed her sister's hand as she grasped it. War? No..no...she wasn't ready yet! Couldn't they just...wait? Why did they want to take them over any way? There were good fighters here, but not enough to stop an army! Kel shook her head, what could they do? "We have good fighters...but not enough of them. What is.." She said to her sister before wondering why this man was here anyway. He said it was his king, does he have no loyalty? "HEY!" She shouted out. "IF he's your king, why are you here!? Do you have no loyalty? What made you come here to warn us if that means we'll be better prepared to fight, and kill, your kinsmen?" She shouted at the large man who said his name was Besian.

Winta Post three

The rounds had went fairly fast, for her as a bystander, but the contestants probably felt the length of time it had actually taken in the competition. Winta had seen Ruelash compete from the stands and the shock could not be held from her expression when she noticed him. That of course was swapped with anger and awe when she saw his time in the competition come to an end. At that moment Winta nodded to the other girls and got up. "Thanks for the help! One of the competitors is my friend and I'm going to go see him." She flashed them a smile before she bounded off to the edge of the stands, waiting to see if he showed up.

After what seemed like a long time she noticed him and quickly rushed to his side. Before she was even able to get anything out the man showed up in the arena and she was confused. Wait, what was going on? Hadn't the fighting just ended?

Oulixes post 5

Oulixes turned his head suddenly when someone in the crowd, a Shifter girl from the looks of it, started to yell out toward the giant in the arena ring... and he caught a bit of a chuckle at her words, "Now there is someone rather naive about the world, eh, Yaholo?" He couldn't help but to be a little amused at how upset the girl sounded over the idea that the man was here warning them, that it meant he had no loyalty to his own. Oulixes was the same way, he could care less about his mother's people, she abandoned him after all, and he was planning on murdering his father due to how much of a b*****d he was. He had no loyalty to either of the two bloodlines that ran through his veins so loyalty to ones people meant absolutely squat to him, "It's kind of refreshing though, to hear someone so adamant about loyalty when I couldn't care less about it."

He had no illusions about what he was but it was nice to see that there were still those who were nicer then he was. It gave him some sort of hope for the rest of the world. Of course then there were those like the King that this giant served, those who were too much like Oulixes's father, that made him feel as though the worst sort of people were likely to take power even if there were good people that wanted to defend their ideals. It was a lot of push and pull that he didn't want to get caught up in. He had enough problems without having to pick a side in a war he thought to himself before he motioned to Yaholo, "Are you able to walk? Or should I carry you, princess?" He asked in what he hoped would be a teasing tone but he really couldn't tell. He was horrible when it came to socializing so who knew what it might sound like to someone else.

Yaholo, post eight

Sure, sure, he'd let his friends know he was leaving. Yeeeaaah. Natsu would be all giddy and Viveka would flip his lid further than the tops of Mount Xi’i, while Rastian attempted to beat sense into both of them. Sounded like a woooonderful proposition...

No, he was too tired to care for the amount of fuss they had over him. Yeah, he was hurt pretty freaking bad. Yeah, he could use a healer or fifty to make dying less likely to happen. But stressing himself out wasn't going to make this any easier either. Plus, Oulixes was here, and he didn't want to pass up a chance to talk to him while he was still coherent... Or standing. He'd rather remember talking to him while laying down than act like a drunk and forget everything he said later.

He paused to follow Oulixes' gaze and smiled weakly when he saw Kelina standing close by. While he really couldn't agree with her statement, he did appreciate how adamant she was. This world needed more competent leaders and she could easily become one if she worked hard enough. He nodded along as Oulixes spoke and suddenly froze when he teased him. Did he actually mean that? Uh... Uh... His face flushed bright red.

"Aaahuhh..." He stammered, before shuffling forward. "You don't need to do that! I can walk! I wouldn't want to be that big of a pain in the a**!" He paused and sighed, rethinking his last statement. "Not that I want to be a pain in the a**, anyway..."
