" As you wish. Just don't do anything stupid. Don't tell me you didn't know he mainly fight with shadows. He is a lot weaker in that way because the shadow realm is annihilated. "
. ------------------------------ Kage no ha (影のは lit. shadow blade)
: Closely associated with an ancient relic. When first summoned it gives off a dark purple malevolent aura, the who's essence is powerful enough to corrupt and possess those who don't have the will to wield it.The blade has an eye emblem at the end of its pommel that seems to hold great significance.

"Kehehehe, I wouldn't be so rash if I were you."
A quivering voice called out to Diamus from a particularly black and foggy area off to his right side. To be honest it couldn't really be called fog as it swirled about a bit quicker than you would expect, and it was a sickening color. Diamus would probably also notice that he seemed to be the only one here aside from the voice - almost like most of the citizens of Hell avoided this place, which wouldn't be terribly far from the truth, but not quite.
Either way, Diamus could definitely ignore this strange man's advice and continue on his way, or he could investigate into the mysteriously colored fog and see just what sort of character this person turned out to be.

Diamus heard the voice and transformed back into his normal self seeing as someone wants to call him out. So he ventured on and investigated the area not feeling at all sickened seeing as he was a general and tortured many a soul in his chambers so most of those bodies would be in this location.

So the rumors flying about the crowds were true, or at least held truth to them. As Avery walked into the main throne room he would look about the apparent three that stood out. A man that seemed cybernetic, which must be the arrogant individual that people gossiped about, and the guards complained about on his way in - the only reason he figured this was because the metallic arm and eye were brought up. Then, there was some robot, or an individual using a power suit which was followed by some average looking man. He knew none of them, and could only connect one individual with their description being spread about via gossip, but even then no one appeared to know his name.
For now, Avery would turn his attention away from them and instead towards the woman currently seated on the throne.
"I assume you are Lady Kikyo?"
Making his way around the fight in a wide berth, Avery would approach Kikyo. Avery would most likely appear very odd to her, or any of them for that matter since he was a good height, though lanky and wore a thick hooded winter coat, gloves, boots and the whole nine yards. Even his face was not visible since it was covered by a white mask, his eyes peering out of unprotected eye slots.
To most, Avery would give off a very eerie or ominous air about him, but to such battle hardened individuals he'd most likely appear to be some simpleton. All signs of previous battle had been cleaned up - his attire repaired, his body replaced and his ectoplasm regenerated. Keeping his eyes on Kikyo up to the point he stopped in front of the stairs leading up to the throne, Avery would look about the room before raising his right hand's wrist to face some sort of electronic gauntlet at Kikyo.
"I am Avery Okoth Haiben Naiser Zoan. What has happened to Oni?"
She was bound to notice that Avery himself did not seem to speak, but rather the gauntlet on his wrist. Avery himself could not physically speak, but the gauntlet was able to receive his thoughts, and then translate into the prominent language with a pre-programmed voice. This also allowed Avery to understand all of them, as well, since it would take what they said and transmit it back to him telepathically. It was one of the many machines that he had received from a hired black smith. In the end, it appeared to have paid off, but with Oni gone..what would happen?

The first thing Diamus would notice as he approached the voice was that the fog was thicker than normal, like it actually had substance to it. You could step on it, and it wouldn't swirl off your foot like normal. Instead it would remain under your foot until it hit the ground before being pushed outwards in swirling vortexes. A faint odor permeated the premises, something slightly familiar and yet..you couldn't quite put your finger on it. The strange fog grew ever thicker as Diamus trudged deeper into its clutches before finally setting eyes on the visage of an old man, hunched over with age, sitting among the swirling depths of his misty concoction. The fumes drew towards his hands creating an orb which gleamed lightly in the dreary streets of Hell. As if in response the various crows perched about him cawed out loudly eliciting a cackle from the seasoned soothsayer.
"Waddya want m'boy?!"

Diamus stood up straight facing the man and sheathed his weapon. Then he bowed slightly and in a calm and stern voice asked the question "I had heard a voice and by following it and the amount of fog appearing in the crypt i presume you are the source of both and assuming such what is the meaning to your words?" Diamus then stood back and kept his eyes on the man but keeping all his other senses active in case he would be involved in a fight,.

"Hehehe, ayeee, that'dbe me! Ye like the tuch I gave it?"
The old man's eyes seemed to be filled with glee at how he'd made himself known to Diamus, with such a clever and mysterious tactic. "I'm impressed ye came, thru me swirling smoke and sickening stench and into the deathly deep!" Really now, the man seemed to be over exaggerating, but it would probably click in Diamus's head what that strange scent was....it was that of an extremely old person. Nothing overbearing, but certainly one you'd noticed. Perhaps this character was nothing more than a senile old man at it for kicks. He seemed to avoid the question about what he had said earlier, and the stupid grin which revealed his discolored teeth begged the question: Did he even remember?
The only semblance of sanity was that glowing orb that he had conjured, which the mist wrapped itself around, caressing its latent energy.

Diamus chucked slightly "It's a little more musty than i remember it last but that's nothing new..this place always smelled of dead bodies. Mostly thanks to me" he said letting his guard down only a little while reminiscing about all the acts of torture he committed on the souls. Then he fixed his vision back on the old man and started forming his own clouds of smoke in his free hand.

"Kehehehe, I wouldn't be so rash if I were you." The old man replied with a smirk, echoing his first words to the man. "Or as a famus tree put it: 'Don't be hasty~' "
The weathered man kept his unblinking eyes hovering upon the general, his head slightly adjusting to the side then reverting back to it's neutral position before suddenly cocking to the other side and jerking back. All in all a rather queer series of movements, probably accounting to a muscle spasm or some such thing.
"Hows'bout we start wit ar names!" He'd nod towards the general, "Diamus, good ta meetcha." Then he'd gesture strangely towards himself "I'm called Mortimer by most."
The old man, Mortimer, sat there with a pleased expression on his face, obviously expecting Diamus to be surprised that he knew his name. The silly smile plastered on his face remained grinning towards the general, seemingly unphased by the smoke gathering in his hand.

Diamus ran his hand across his chin in thought when the man revealed his name. "Mortimer..that name seems familiar yet not..are you perhaps a descendant of the last crypt keeper i had put in here?" diamus asked and he made another swirl of smoke to combine itself with what Mortimer was conjuring making the room even more sinister feeling that what would already scare a normal person

"Crypt? This 'ere looks leik a foggy alleyway ta me!" The old man looked skeptically at the younger (Appearance wise, anyway) general. "Have ye lost yer marbles?!" he accused, his voice rather shriller than it probably should have been. In reality he wasn't anything of the sort and had only recently shown up here, perhaps a hundred years ago or so. His lineage wasn't particularly tied to anyone of importance, nor did he know Diamus other than his name.
"Now, why be you here, in Hell? Perhaps I can....aid you in your journey." Mortimer finally seemed to be ready to take the conversation seriously, and he wrapped his talon-like fingers over his orb, a queer smile stretching across his face as he gazed into the general's eyes.

[[OOC: Sorry for taking so damn long. I'm still trying to balance school and work.]]
Kikyo had closed her eyes after speaking to the gentleman before about everything that had happened in the past few years. She had for once, since her time back, felt remorse for what she had done. Slowly she opened up her eyes to see another gentleman in font of her. At first she was confused where he was speaking from, but that did not take too long after a quick observation.
"You assume correct sir."
Adjusting herself in her seat, her focus was not on the fight going on, but of this man whom she has never met. Once he spoke to her again, she stood up slowly and placed her hands in front of her.
"What I understand is that he is gone. Dead that is. When he died, from what I understand, I appeared. It seems confusing even to me so I apologize."
[[OOC: Sorry for taking so damn long. I'm still trying to balance school and work.]]
(No worries. I've been decently busy myself.) Avery would remain quiet for a bit after she finished speaking. He didn't know what else to say or ask on the subject, and he felt there was only one thing to truly do. The one option? To accept the new leadership. Or, at least, for now.
"Then it is important to inform you that there appears to be corruption among Heaven's ranks. During the recent mission a high ranking angel turned on Lucas and attempted to kill him. Rumors have also been flying among the people that Lucas has fled Heaven and is believed to be a traitor - supporting a group known as Cruxis. According to the information I assimilated from this host, it also appears that when Lucas fled he escaped with a man named Arc, and his current origins are believed to be on Earth."

Diamus paused for second to take what Mortimer had just accused of him and then following it up with a question and added another layer of his own smoke to the room to conceal their conversation from watching eyes.
"well to be honest many have called me insane before and I have never considered myself of sound mind. Now as to your asking of why I'm here in hell.." He stopped for a second
"I actually used to serve as General of lady Kikyo's army alongside the warrior Inferno if those names are of any significance to you. I honestly can't even remember why left it's been so long but i decided it was time to make a return because i received word that things were a bit different so i needed to make sure of that and aside from a few things nothing has really changed" Then sensing a long conversation with the old man Diamus moved some the ground to form himself a seat.

"Now thas de first sane thing youv said all day! Those who believe themselfs to be sane are usualy ze furthest from it." Mortimer nodded in agreement with himself, definitely pleased at the wisdom he had just spoken. A playful smirk spread across his face as the smoke deepened, the strangers unintentionally lending one another a hand.
Just as the swirling smoke deepened, so did their conversation. "Inferno...now there is a name you don't hear lightly. Powerful players you have mentioned, yes yes." Keen eyes gazed into what appeared to be the very depths of Diamus's soul, although that was quite far from the truth. "Both dead and resurrected. The first into her previous role, and the second quests after something...greater than his old life rewarded him with." A short cackle was quickly smothered away by Mortimer's own hand. "Tis not my place to quip of other's misfortune. You'll find Kikyo in the palace, but tread carefully, old ghosts haven't been proving friendly to our mistress."
Diamus couldn't see it, but Lady Kikyo's face had entered the swirling ball of energy before Mortimer. He paused to study her features, she was obviously trying her best to catch up, and although she lacked knowledge currently, those around her were filling her in swiftly. Even with everything changed around her she upheld a strong resolution, one that she had not previously entertained. The times were changing, and if you couldn't keep up you'd be left behind, it was as simple as that. A fresh era was ready to rupture through the realms, and Mortimer was one that longed for and accepted it with open arms!
