The fight was already proving to be quite interesting, and Shirune took note of that as the young woman in front of him knocked his blade aside with a chain, but that didn't stop the flames from scorching her shoulder. This though came at Shirune's expense as they young lady then grabbed onto his arm and launched him towards the shrine. Shirune braced himself for impact until he stopped suddenly in midair and then bounced upwards. He smiled to himself, knowing that his fellow classmates would be envious that he decided to learn how to Wind Walk, and not a moment too soon as he felt the wind rush by as large boulders flew harmlessly below him. Composing himself in the air, Shirune let his sword drop slightly before he looked down towards the young woman. "Your skill is exquisite! I haven't had this much of a pleasure sparring in ages!" He then stepped down towards the earth before he allowed himself to lower his guard slightly more. "Before me go any further though, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself." He explained before he did a slight bow, twirling his blade behind him and placing his hand towards his chest as he did so. "My name, is Shirune Takagi Kinshiro. I am the Storm Rose Duelist here at the Academy." He smiled politely as he then rose and then assumed a rather casual yet poised stance. "Who, young madam, are you that I have the pleasure to spar with?"

It has been a while since Ibuki last fought someone worthwhile. The man managed to prevent himself from suffering any damage. It would seem that she'd lose if she doesn't take this fight a bit more seriously. He genuinely looks impressed with her, strangely enough as he started to introduce himself. "Oh, so you're a duelist as well huh? That's good ta hear!" She couldn't hide her excitement as she stretches her arms up. There are strong people in this academy, there's no doubt about it, she thought. "I'm Ibuki. the Red Rose Duelist. I sure am in luck encountering someone like you here." She grabs her injured shoulder. Turned that part of her body into mist before having it materialize again, now good as new. "Now let's continue, shall we?" Ibuki leap in front of him, now moving quicker than before. she plucks some of her beautiful ginger hair and throws it at him. The strands of hair became copies of herself, be it of miniature size. She herself vanishes from his sight afterwards.

Listening intentionally Shirune's eyebrows raised slightly when Ibuki introduced herself as the Red Rose Duelist. He contemplated that she probably had more tricks up her sleeve, but kept that to himself as he continued to give off a warm smile. "Ibuki huh... I'll make sure to remember that name..." He said before he watched her shoulder turn into mist before materializing back into it's pristine form. Shirune was stunned momentarily, not knowing how to combat against such a technique when Ibuki launched herself at him, before throwing some of her hair at him and disappearing. The hair formed into tiny versions of her to Shirune's dismay, but that was something he could deal with. Pointing his blade towards the clones, Shirune focused the flames into o a single point that began to develop at the tip of his blade before he launched the fireball, incinerating some of the minions. For the rest Shirune once again stuck his palm out and sent out a concentrated blast of wind. "Geez... Just what are you? You toss me around like a rag doll, make clones of yourself with your hair, and then disappear into the mist." Shirune commented as he finally stopped the wind tunnel, but kept his guard up. "Now where are you...?"

The Storm Rose Duelist didn't seem to have any trouble dealing with her copies. Well, they are only to serve to buy some time as she prepares. Just to be sure, Ibuki created two more of herself by cutting off two of her fingers, both are standing strikingly similar to her size that it'll be easy to fool anyone into thinking that one of these two are genuine or rather, herself. Cutting a part of herself doesn't pose a significant threat to her condition. She has the power to split or scatter into a large quantity. Creating enough to have an army of Ibuki. The difference of strength for each copy varies though. Every single one of them receives a certain amount of power from Ibuki but none can be more powerful than the original. She has given these two enough strength to hold their ground against her current opponent while she herself went to a nearby mountain. As the two 'better' copies descends to join the remaining smaller ones into attacking. The ground shook three times. Stronger each time with the interval of five seconds before finally stopping. "I'll surely never gonna hear the end of it after this fight of ours, ahahaha~" commented by one of the clones, directed at Shirune.

I'll make sure to remember that name..."Shirune inhaled deeply. While he hadn't had a match like this in quite some time, that was also his dilemma. He breathing became slightly more pressed as he realized he was using too much of his energy against Ibuki. He would have to conserve his energy from when something else more drastic came up. Then from out of seemingly nowhere another pair of clones emerged, though it seemed this time they were simply just equally strong versions of Ibuki, though he couldn't tell for sure. One of the Ibuki's made a witty comment towards him before he suddenly felt the earth shake three times, each more stronger than the last. "Geez... Just what have I gotten myself into?" Shirune muttered under his breath before he began to move his arm about, as if to catch the air before he applied magical energy to the wind and his blade, causing the wind to form a layer of swirling wind that encased his blade. Moving his blade in a circular motion, Shirune then used both of his hands to continual spin his blade faster before throwing the air off his blade which then began to form as a small twister. As he jumped away the twister slowly grew in size before it was about the size of a small tornado. To prevent himself from being sucked in, Shirune stabbed his blade into the ground before a small wall of earth jutted out, giving Shirune a temporary shelter from the tornado. "Lets see you mist yourself into this!" He shouted out towards the Ibuki's.

It seems her opponent doesn't plan on letting her do as she pleases. It would explain why he casts a tornado in his attempt to draw her out. The small copies are taken in by it while the other two remains. To stop a tornado, they had to use their limited powers. By changing its composition, they managed to weaken the twister Shirune created down to a less harmful level. The tedious spell he used earlier is now but a gust of wind. Suddenly, the whole vicinity becomes dark, As if there's an ongoing eclipse. The two Ibuki looks up. Something appears to be falling from the sky. Something that seems to be getting bigger the closer it gets. It's an enormous boulder or rather, it'd be more appropriate to call it... a huge chunk of a mountain. "Let's see you dodge this 'boulder' I got especially for ya!" A voice came shouting from above. It was Ibuki, the real one, standing above it to make the boulder crash much faster. The two who was with Shirune until just now turned into mist and goes back to her body, leaving him to be a newly made pancake.

Shirune had no idea of the massive piece of earth coming at him until he heard the sound of Ibuki's voice warning him. Mortified Shirune could only look up and watch as his imminent doom came flying down upon him with a spunky duelist riding it. Taking a deep breath Shirune concentrated once more on his blade, watching as the winds around him once more began to surround him. He had only one shot at this, and if he failed then well... Shirune pancakes didn't sound appealing. "If you think I'm gonna get smushed... You got another thing coming!" He shouted before he unleashed all the wind he had accumulated into one slash, causing the boulder to be split right in half, falling away from him harmlessly. Exhausted Shirune collapsed on one knee and panted heavily, trying to regain his breath after he had used so much of his etherano. "I'm.. seriously.. too old.. for.. all this.." He managed to sputter out as he tried to hold himself up with his blade, but ultimately just fell onto his side, gasping for air.

"What? It's already over?" Ibuki safely drops down to the ground near Shirune, checking to see if her opponent is already forfeiting. She casually approaches him, not fearing the possibility that he might be putting up an act to catch her off guard. Either way, even if she gets cut in half, it's not a threat to her life at all. She confirms his inability to continue their battle which disappoints kind of disappoints her. "Humans really are fragile creatures, aren't they? I suppose I'm lucky I'm what you guys would call a demon."

Still recovering from the fight Shirune rolled his head to look at Ibuki as she began to almost chastise him for being human. He chuckled softly, using his free arm to cover his eyes as he still lay there. "Well... I think... That I... Did quite well... For someone... of my age..." He managed to say in between breaths. "Besides... if you really are a demon..." He began to state before he slowly sat up. "Then that just brings it to a whole 'nother level. To think I at least lasted a few minutes against you.. That's progress!" He exclaimed as he softly chuckled, using his sword as to hold himself upright as he did so. "Though... What type of demon are you? I didn't expect demons to be as merciful or as cute as you are."

Ibuki decided to pass the time just as Shirune wanted. There really isn't anything better to do. She wasn't really one to attend classes on a daily basis afterall. She decided to sit on a nearby rock as they talked. "It's the first time I've met a human that possesses an impressive power anyway, so I suppose we're even~" She grabs her gourd, which was tied to her waist and opens it up to drink. "That's weird, I believed you also came from the east, judging by your name. Are ya sure you haven't heard of oni?"

An oni? Now it all made sense... "Oni huh? Of course I've heard of your kind.. but actually seen or faced someone from your genus? Never until now..." Shirune lowered his head and shuddered somewhat. The mere fact that Ibuki was an Oni changed things. They were known for their immense strength, viciousness in battle, and a tendency to wield clubs and other such tenderizing weapons to battle. That description didn't seem to apply to Ibuki, who was casually taking a drink from her flask, but the fact still remained... She could probably break his arm off in a arm wrestling contest... "Speaking of which... If I am the first human you've fought who has power like mine... How many humans have you fought exactly?" He asked in a tentative tone, unsure whether or not it was exactly a good question to ask about the fates of others who may have been... Less fortunate than himself.

"Back in the ol' days, we'd terrorize human villages for the fun of it. Of course, there were some people who chose to fight us despite the difference in our strength. What we've done is... well.. It may sound unpleasant for ya, being a human yerself and all I can say is that humans, especially powerless ones, are really delicate creatures." Ibuki closed her eyes, remembering everything that has happened before as if it was just yesterday. She can clearly recall what they've done. The crimes they committed and the punishment she avoided. The smell of corpses burning and the sound of agony that fills the air. However, it's all in the past now. It doesn't concern her anymore, or so Ibuki thought as she continues to drink from the gourd once again. Now lying with one arm supporting her head, she turns to Shirune. "So what brought ya here anyway? Tis academy doesn't have that many humans as far as I've seen."

Shirune listened intently as Ibuki began to relate her tale, and ever now and then he would shiver. He could only imagine some of the things that Ibuki had gone through, but in that sense of word, would he have to go through the same tribulations as well? Bringing himself back to the present moment Shirune looked at the Oni as she asked him what he was doing at the Academy. "Not that many humans? Is that truly so?" He chuckled slightly, entertaining the thought that he was part of a minority at the Academy. "My reasons for coming to the Academy are my own, but since it seems you've bested me I see no reason not to tell you." He stated before he pushed himself up from off the ground and dusted his robe off. "You know what it feels like to be different don't you? Well... Because of that difference, my family was slaughtered... I came to the Academy to train myself to become stronger so that one day... One day I could avenge them..." He explained as his expression went somber.

I decided to put my past behind so there's nothing stoppin me from what to do~" After a brief moment of drinking(seriously, when is she going to stop?), Ibuki continues to speak what's in her mind.
