Releasing his grip upon the wing as his brother rolled to flip the creature Gammu was side steping and grabbing the Molten Thermite Cannon. As such close range there would be no need to worry about aim. Set for a wide angle spray he stood to the left and infront of Gamma, only a few feet from Null. Spraying flaming thermite the area with lit up by the blinding white light.

Once again - this would end with mixed results. The wings were gimped now just like its arms. Massive flailing objects that hung down like curtains around it.
And around it went by that one wing within Gamma's grasp. And down onto the ground. It smashed down with an intensity. This could be considered lucky in a way.
The boardwalk thing was not mere strenght at work. Sand rippled up into the air as Null hit earth and then sunk down as if being swallowed. Though really it was more a case of another earthquake influence - the ground violently shaking around him.
Fun fact though. They were not on the wooden planks of the boardwalk anymore. Instead they were gifted with a nice present as the spike ball vanished into a hole that it created. And then the sand started to shift along with it.
Kind of like quicksand thanks to the minor quake. The wing would come out of Gammas grasp one way or another. Most likely released during all of the activity - especially if they planned on Null being on fire at that intensity.
Or Gamma could get dragged under with the creature.
His choice.

Gamma let go when the egg succumbed to the ground. His only interest was to avoid being sucked into the sand, especially with the ground becoming suddenly unstable.
Moving himself back as the sand started to collapse, he reached out to Gammu who would have no problem with the ground. Gamma's left going for his sidearm.

With the enemy trapped in the harden sand Gammu placed the TMC at his side, the clamp locking it down. Reaching up the 40mm gauss cannon slid into position, a sabot round cycled into the barrel.
Aiming at point blank he sent the sabot round through the fragile glass and straight into the body at mach 4 speeds. The air about the brothers snapped with the breaking of the sound barrier and the rushing of air kicked up sand about them.

The armored van came to a halt at the carnage around the boardwalk. Keeping the van at a safe distance again, Charles waited in his driver's seat.
"Well, there it is. Anyone have a battle strategy?"

Upon seeing the Gam's, Allen just cursed under his breath.
"Dammit, interference here too. There are way too many people trying to get a part of this."

"I just thought I'd burn it," Flare said. "Not having any other information.."
She opened the door and leapt out of the van, snapping her wings open the moment there was room. In the work of a split second, she was in the air, surveying the situation from above.

"I like the way she thinks," the Chauffeur said, stepping out of the van and unsheathing his scythe. "You better be able to cut through this one," Charles said, referring to his scythe.
"Saving the world every other week," he said, turning to face Allen, tightening the grip on his scythe, and smiling. "******** I love this place."

And Allen followed, the last out of the van, his gauntlets shimmering into place on his hands. Normally he might have called his sword too, but his right gauntlet had changed. And he wanted to see just what was different about them now.
"Yeah, well, to burn it we need to find it. And those armored guys over there don't seem friendly."
Not that he was worried, considering the company he was in.

So there was Null buried a few feet down in sand turned to glass. It was still able to move somewhat as parts of it started to take on that brown glow. The wing sticking up had what seemed to be long trails of the color running down it like veins. Obviously something was happening with the egg.
Considering that the glass was molten and there was probably still fire around - as Gammu had stepped in awfully quick after using that weapon - shooting conditions should have been entertaining.
So his bullet would go down and - if he were at point blank - conviently into Null's mouth as it expanded open a bit wider and chomped down on the glass. As you might recall he had been screeching the entire time and that mouth never really seemed to stay all the way closed.
And now the mouth was clear - oh dear this did not bode well. The spikes located across its form began a gradual retraction. That was not all that would begin to retract into it. Instead Null's mouth seemed to expand even wider as the glass above it filled with cracks rapidly. And then started to spin.
This thing had alot of factors in common with an Antlion. The chance of Gammu getting out of the way - at point blank with his armor - was not all that high unless Gamma helped him. And then both had the chance of being pulled down into the spinning glass pit.
Null's mouth was eagerly awaiting at the bottem - the only visible thing of its body other then that wing. Which was now glowing brilliantly.

Gamma, having been reaching already, hooked his right arm around Gammu's and pulled. This added weight in the opposite direction would slow Gammu down enough to get the ******** out of there.
A van showed up. With people. What the ******** was this, Action 2 News?
They didn't matter since they weren't trying to eat him. Freeing his sidearm, Gamma released a three round burst from his automag, aiming for the eyes. Where they should be in proportion to the mouth. 5.7mm mach 5 projectiles that would shatter glass and hopefully blind the egg.

The glass was cracking beneath him, more so then it should from his mass and the sabot round. Gamma grabbing and pulling him only further to prove his point. Shattering what remained of the glass his jump system activated and pistons slammed into the ground, throwing him into the air. Gamma who would have a sure grip would be out of the general vicinity of Null.
Ignoring the van Gammu targeted another sabot round straight into the spot he had aimed before, only shifting his aim higher to concentrate his heavier fire with Gamma's. Pulling the trigger the 40mm gauss cannon fired the tungsten carbide round.

Seeing the two brothers from the temple fighting with the sand, Charles pointed towards them. "Methinks what we're looking for is right there," he said, jogging towards them.
Yelling upwards at Flare he said, "What the hell's going on over there?"

Allen moved closer, staying behind Charles for now. And watched the men shooting at that spot. And then...took another few steps forward, though hopefully still far enough away that the guys with guns wouldn't see him as a threat.
"Degs, I need you to try and keep any attacks away from me for a little bit."
And then, his gauntlets began to show a faint glow, slowly growing brighter.
