Umbra laughed. "Yeah, all that." He turned to Laurel, and smiled. "Well, we're not ALL dead. There's a few of us that I know of back on the island, all alive and perfectly well. I'm sure your dads there."

I might have been acting cool on the outside, but I'm still an emotional teenager on the inside)) Auntie, this isn't Hell, and it doesn't look like Heaven either... not that either of us would ever get there

Ruby shrugged, "The no good b*****d hollered, shouted, and threatened till I gave him his glasses back. Prob'ly wouldn't have done anthin' if I hadn't either, he always had a lot o' empty words." Ruby tapped Laurels cheek with her knuckle. "You a'right kid?"
