"I just meant that saying 'she's mine' was like I owned her or something. That's just weird." C.J. said with a shrug. "For the record, I JUST found out that those men snuck in there. She's the mother of the kids I adopted. That's all there is to it. To be honest, now that I know WHY she's gone, I'm not mad anymore about that. HE is . . ." he said, pointing a thumb to Arell, but C.J. stuck his hands in the jumpsuit pockets.
"She's her own person. She always was. That's what I mean when I say she never was 'mine' . . . she could have easily gone before. I probably woulda been much more understanding if I knew WHY she left." he explained. "Even if they're Savage's kids, aside from Arell and Dun', they're the only family I got since the merger. All my kin got left back in that other universe. Shoot, here's ANOTHER bombshell for y'all. Between you and me . . . ." he said with a shrug as Arell listened. He had been kinda quiet . . . to be honest, he felt really bad now that he learned WHY Misty left. Even if it did send his best friend into a downward spiral, but when he mentioned another bombshell, Arell perked up.
Meanwhile, Dun nodded. "C'mon, we'll go back together and get it." he mentioned. However, he just rounded the corner when he heard what came next out of the Maryland boy's mouth.
"After I got my paystub, Mr. Walcott was gonna give me the next touring season off so I could go be with the kids. One of Arell's friends was gonna let us borrow his cabin down by Ashville. Had those goons not been a problem, I probably would have proposed within the week." he said.
Arell nodded. "Early weddin' gif' fer y'all. Shoot, get thangs on the mend, I betcha two bucks dat offer's still good." he said.

Dr. Villa took his sip of Tuaca, and as his own lips parted from the glass, he took note of how much longer hers was on the whiskey; there had been MANY times the patient that had brought her to his office had cause the same reaction in doctors, including himself. After her comment, he chuckled, saying with a smile, "One thing you need to know before we can get along: there's a reason I sat on THIS side of my desk, not behind it. We're colleagues. Save the formality for outside this room. In here, you can call me Hector."
He sighed and added, "And really, it's no trouble. Cases like his are why I came out of retirement."

Misty nodded, then let him walk ahead as she took another moment to get herself together before walking back out to pass by Arell and CJ again. By the time she came around and was down the hall close enough to hear the two in their cell, she had only caught the last bit of what Arell had said. Missing the majority of what Dundee had heard.
The Goddess glanced to the side as the Blue Lantern and woman came back into view, then looked back over at CJ. "Alright." she said. "Forgive me if I sounded harsh, but I have seen far too many people wait too long to make things right again."
=============================================
"It's a shame." Doctor Gray replied, frowning. "If you've been here long enough, you shouldn't have to come back. Not to a place like this anyway." she said, then took another sip from the glass.
Then she paused a moment to look up at Doctor Villa. "Why did you come back to take his case? If you don't mind me asking. Most of the doctors don't want anything to do with the Joker, and the ones that do can never get anything out of him."

C.J. nodded towards Misty and Dundee as they went past. "It's alright. Thanks for the advice! If anything, it's what's best for the kids." he said. Waiting a minute, he sat there in thought, looking at The Goddess. She didn't look that much older than Arell, but she was wise with her years. "Say, what's your name, anyways?" he asked, bringing up small talk as he saw Misty go out of sight.
Arell on the other hand, was just kinda listening in. C.J. paused a bit to give Arell a hi-five, but the big Cajun was just content in relaxing a bit on that upper bunk. "Sorry I ain't much a talka', che'. Been a helluva week." He said. He acknowledged Misty's presence, but he was still sore at her for his friend being in the state he was in.
Meanwhile, Dundee was thinking about notifying Misty what he heard. He had just about to open his mouth to say it, but . . . nah. Dun' decided it was already enough bombshells that Misty found out the guy that was about to propose to her before she left was quite mad at her, sawed her big Caveman ex-boyfriend in half and then got into Arkham. Too much for one day. Maybe tomorrow.

Dr. Villa nodded, his jovial expression turning somewhat serious as he said, "Unfinished business. With a one Edward Nigma." He looked at her and added, "I'd really rather not talk about it right now."

"I understand." Doctor Gray replied, glancing down at her glass. "I try to stay away from the higher level patients. I seem to do better with... ones that aren't brought in here by Batman repeatedly." she said, then paused a moment in thought.
"Oh, and since we're on first name basis... you can call me Donna." she said, looking back at him.
===================================
The Goddess sighed a bit, and looked at the wall thoughtfully. "Name? I've had too many of those to count, really." she said. She paused another moment in thought, then shook her head and turned back to the man. "Allyana Constantine." the Goddess replied, looking over at CJ. "Recently I've just been going by Anna."

C.J. smiled with a nod. "Glad to meet ya! He's Arell L'amour and I'm C.J. Benoit . . . uh, those are the only names we got." he said as Arell, kept a lazy eye on their new neighbors, waving slightly.
"Sup?" Arell asked before looking back at C.J., pointing at another envelope. "Dey anotha lettah in heah, che'. You gon' read it?" he asked as Arell looked back up.
"Not right now, I think there's a plot thing that's gonna happen soon!" C.J. mentioned.

Rogue took a few moments to move her jaw experimentally, then moved her head side to side to release some of the kinks there. Slowly turning her attention back to Vice, she appraised him with her green gaze, "Thanks. Dat was drivin meh up de danged wall. And Ah'd beh mighty grateful to ya, if ya turn dis god-forsakin contraption off."

Hector smiled, saying, "Donna. From the Italian word, 'donna', meaning 'lady'. If I were one to believe in such things as destiny, which I am not, I could make an argument that our meeting was fated."

Donna grinned a bit. "You know, you're the second person who's caught that. At least you didn't call me "Lady Gray" and give me a mini history lesson." she said, then took another sip. "I had a friend who was quite enthralled with European history and such." she said, then glanced over at Hector. "If you were one to believe in destiny... why do you think this meeting was fated?"

Allyanna smiled a bit, then opened her mouth to say something. A few guards passed by though, leading the Black Sapphire along with them. In full view of the other inmates.

"Well, that depends..." Vice replied. "Usually when someones strapped in this much... there's a reason. Don't want to let you out if you're going to tear the building appart brick by brick or anything like that."

And that particular side of Misty that made her look almost DEAD ON to HIS Misty was on their side of the cell causing C.J.'s jaw to DROP!! "What th'?!? How th'?!? But, wait a- ?!?" C.J. stuttered as Arell got down. "Y'know, dey DO have a sportin' resembla- are you alright, dude?" Arell asked as C.J. wigged out. "LEMME OUTTA HERE!!! THERE'S TWO OF 'EM!!! THAT DOCTOR LIED TO ME!!! LEMME OUTTA THIS NUTHOUSE BEFORE I GO CRAZY!!!!!!!!" he screamed, going almost batshit before Arell grabbed a hold of the Marylander's jumpsuit and smacked him across the face repeatedly. POW! POW! POW! POW! POW! "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF, MAN!!! That's Bla-!!!" Arell tried to say before C.J. cut him off. "Blackstone has a SCAR! Do YOU see a scar?!" C.J. hissed, turning Arell's head to look at her, Arell scratching his head. "Say . . . dat DOES look like her! An' any'un can change they hai' much less . . . de . . . makeu- . . . s**t. Dey really IS two!!" Arell replied in a hushed whisper, looking like he just saw a ghost. Did he curse out the right one?!? What if there were even MORE THAN TWO?! "VICE! We have a new wrecking crew for this joint! I wasn't crazy going IN here, but I may be going nuts on the way OUT!"Meanwhile, Dundee looked back after hearing C.J. flip out, facepalming himself. "Ten dollars says I know JUST what happened." he said as he and Misty walked towards the office.

"My own last name directly translates into 'House' from the same language," Hector said, and added with a gesture that brought extra attention to their surroundings, "And if you look around, I have a fascination with Renaissance-era Italy."

The woman froze as them an in the cell began to flip out. She quickly turned towards the two men, and the scar was finally visible on the other side of her face. She blinked at them, her expression a mix between surprised and disturbed. First the man was angry, then he was okay, now he was flipping out...
================================
Misty looked back at Dundee as she opened the door to the office. "What do you mean?" she asked. She stepped inside, then quickly went to the chair to retrieve her missing purse.
=================================
Donna smiled. "I noticed. Your office is quite impressive. Much more comfortable than mind. I don't think I have any decorations... I keep them all at home. Taking on the simpler cases doesn't give me the spendable salary as those who take on Harvey Dent's case."

C.J. was at that point waaaaaaaay up in a corner, pretty much using adrenaline and the lack of logic to keep him up there. "Sorry, but yeah. I'm seeing double. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to keep going haywire now!" he said, doing his best to stay up there before Arell looked up annoyed. "Just shaddap an' get down here!" Arell growled as C.J. shook his head. "Hell no! I got TWICE the relationship trouble down there now! I'm staying RIGHT UP HERE until I stop freaking out!!" C.J. retorted, the Manic Marylander holding on until . . . his grip . . . started slippi- and he falls! WHAM! C.J. fell to the ground with a crash, but being pretty much a cartoon, only knocked himself out. Sheepishly, Arell looked at Misty apologetically. "Sorry 'bout him." he said, hands in his pockets. Dundee looked back out when he heard the loud crash and back at Misty. "Eh, somethin' about a Blackstone or something." he said with a shrug.
