Blackjack smirked a little bit. For a minute, she actually sounded like she gave a damn about the lad. Poor sucker.
"Oh, you COULD go that way . . . then again, whadda I know? I can barely remember how I even got down to Mexico anyhow." he said with a shrug. It was pretty nice though . . . seeing how the last time he ran into Misty in HIS time, he almost got killed. Which, in all fairness, he was used to that, but at the same time, not so funny when former-paramour-now-married-to-rich-a*****e-who-don't-like-you takes a hand at it. Not that fun at all.

Misty sighed deeply and looked from the rooftop to the next building. "Well... what about the... the children?" she asked. "Does everything... is everything alright with them?" Perhaps it was another question she shouldn't ask. But it would take her a moment to figure out how to get CJ across the roof. Might as well get the uncomfortable questions out of the way.

"Mist', you marry a gazillionaire. I'm sure they're in a private school in England far away from your enemies . . . much less killing any chance I got for visitation rights." C.J. said with a smirk. Hell, he wasn't even in the same TIME as them, much less really got an opportunity to say goodbye to them. That was what hurt the most. The only family he had in this cruel, merciless collision of a world and it got stripped away from him like nothing. It seems like whatever happened after the fact, happened well after C.J. mysteriously vanished.
"Well, to be fair, they DID ask that I don't include 'em in the RP. Shout-out to the homeslices!!"
Err, yeah.
C.J. looked over the side. "Long drop . . . kinda reminds me how I escaped that British ship a few months ago." he thought out loud before taking a few steps back.

Misty winced a little at his reply. Married to a gazillionaire? So she married Blackstone again. Well... it wasn't the worst possible outcome, but... of course it had to be that outcome. "I won't let you fall very far if you're going to try to jump it." Misty said, looking back at him. "I'm still pretty good with my webbing to catch you."

"Some things never change, Blue." he said with a smirk as he took a running start towards the ledge. "Fortunately THIS did!" he yelped as he broke into a full-speed run and leaped off the ledge, soaring in the air before landing and rolling on the other rooftop. Getting up, he smiled a little.
"Little easier to do that when you're used to climbing mast rigging!" he said. There was a lot of things he learned while he was gone in the past. Getting over his fear of heights, which left him crippled sometimes, was one of them.

Misty watched CJ as he jumped across the roof and landed on the other. She smiled once he stood up. Alright, he was okay. And he was pretty darn good at clearing the distance. She shouldn't have to worry about him too much. Good. They could... change the subject a bit by focusing on getting some distance between them and the hired help.
"Not bad. Looks like we'll be good to go until we run into some taller buildings." she said. Then she pulled her legs up as her spider legs lifted her a few feet off of the ground. Then they moved across the roof, sprang off of it, and easily grabbed onto the next building. "Should I put these things away so it's harder for them to see where we're going? Or does it really matter?" she asked, setting herself back down on the ground.

"You oughta try it on a pirate ship, Mist'. That's a LOT of fun." he said, thinking of the friends he made on the Cassandra and later La Diamete. Of course, it had to be THERE that he also finally got Merida's name. Funny how the world worked that way. Get help escaping from an asylum, barely escaping the wrath of Blackstone, falling through time, the whole works! There was a good reason he hadn't seen the kids in a while.
"Sounds good. How're the kids, by the way?" he asked.

Misty blinked once as she pulled her legs back to adjust them. A blank look on her face. "The kids? Oh, you mean... well they... they haven't technically been born yet. After the last trip to Wilson Fisk's place, and seeing the xrays, and accidentally slicing myslelf trying to get free... I sort of... had a sort-of-friend of mine keep them for a while. They're safe. In the Underworld. And once things calm down up here, I can go back down there and get things switched back around and let nature take it's course the right way." she replied. Then she paused for a moment as she pulled her legs into her back again.
"...... what are they like? I know one's a boy, and one's a girl. But... that's about all I could see before I was sent back up here."

"Riiight . . . I WOULD get sent back before most of that happened!" C.J. said with a facepalm. Looks like more explainy-time for them as he walked.
"Eric's rather quiet and shy. He LOVES elephants. Then again, last I saw him, he was six. You brought him and Amanda to Arkham a month before Arell an' me broke out." he drawled as he smiled.
"Amanda though, is bubblier than a bottle of coke. Always smiling and playing. God I miss them." he said with a smile, shaking off a tear. The father he shoulda been.

Misty smiled a bit as she tried to imagine that. "Shy and quiet definitely inherited my traits. I was never very open until long after I began running around in blue spandex." she remarked. "I imagine he loves elephants from... Delores? That was her name, right? Damn I have such terrible memory with names... such a friendly creature though. Bubblyness. I have no idea where she'd ever learn that from..." she said with a little grin.

Blackjack smiled. "Yeah! Delores!! She was the headline attraction after things went down!" he said with a smile. It was clear where Amanda's bubbliness came from. It was like he was talking about his family! "Gosh . . . I haven't seen them since I fell through the wormhole. Wonder if it's too early to go beg for my old job back." he mused. Could be a lot of fun!
"Wait, if that chat RP with Luna's correct . . . don't we get our jobs back but . . ."

Misty smiled as she listened to CJ. Well, at least he seemed like he was in a good mood. Heavens knows John wasn't when they had their little incident with Blackstone. Ever after that, really.
"I'm pretty sure you still had a job when we left to... I still can't quite figure out what we did. Fourth wall something or rather... then came to eat." she said. She tried not to think about the crazy too much. Easier to just go with the flow of things than give herself a migrane trying to figure it out. "I'm sure I'll still be there when we get back from, um, wherever we are now."
