Jerry glanced over until he could spy what the woman indicated with his good eye, his lips pursing as he tried to piece it all together through the alcohol. He didn't know the web of people at Harrison's disposal, just what his assignment was and where to find his monthly allowance.

Distributor and Handler. That had to explain who the quiet blond was. "Remember a few months ago, last time that other lab was caught letting loose a knock-off?" He turned his attention back to his lighter. There was the image of a snarling wolf etched into the silver. "There wasn't enough left for the police to analyze."

"Oooh, doctor," she said with finesse, placing her tinier hand into the man's larger one. "In the business of saving lives? Mighty admirable of you, if you don't mind me saying, mister."

She peered over his shoulder, noticing he had a company. "Who's your-" She thought about saying "friend," but that might have been rude if it was his dame. "Companion."

Saliva laughed and slapped his back. "That was you? Oh, you have your work cut out for you then. Jordan figured out the other bastards we had to deal with. Have fun handling all that." She said, smiling as she decided against vodka and instead switched to a long island iced tea to give her some sweetness.

Melvin grumbled beside her, not seeming to happy to have imposters of his product.

To the question, he just looked over. "Protection and silence." Somewhere to hide and not have anyone with loose lips.

All he could do was brace himself against the table, the only thing keeping him from crumbling, his legs about to give out. The magnitude of what he'd done was hitting him in waves, echoed inversely by the satisfaction of that kiss, a satisfaction women had never been able to give him, completely at odds with the almost nauseating horror of what he'd done to feel it. He felt like a teenager again, but for the wrong reasons -- he felt so helpless, so conflicted... ok, maybe a little horny.

And so. Completely. ******** not in the good way.

... not yet anyway, apparently.

Somehow Rep's hiss was just as sexy as his purr, catching his attention again, having been staring somewhat blatantly at Rep's lips. If he hadn't been going through a life-changing event at that moment, (like signing his own death certificate,) he might just have beaten the redhead to it and shoved him into the bathroom himself. Instead, he listened to the other man's command, as well as his reasoning, allowing both to remain unanswered.

The worst part was, they both knew he would.

Maybe it was ignorance or simply naivety, but hearing Serafina speak to him in such a way... It made G feel understood. She wasn't just humoring him--she really believed in the family, just like he did.

His mind was made up from then on. He'd look out for her too, along with Riyo. As long as he was alive, he could make sure that nothing bad happened to them.

He cleared his throat a little roughly at her praise, sincerely flattered, but feeling as though he had to keep his emotions in check. Still... "Means a lot to me, ma'am." G's ears were definitely starting to turn pink.

"Gonna do whatever I can to help the family. You got my word on that."

He shook her hand gently before letting out chuckle, “Saving lives, I guess you could say that for some of my patients. As for admirable I don’t know about that, vanity isn’t really one of the most well liked virtues. I am not your run of the mill doctor, I’m more of the make those imperfections that bother you in your appearance sort of disappear if you get what I mean.” He replied keeping the grin on his face as he could hear Kasi’s chair swivel at the talk about her. She was like a hawk, always hearing things when she wanted to, there was no point in introducing her now she would.

Like he always said, she loved attention as a large grin spread across her face, her perfect white teeth glistening white as if she had never had a drink of coffee in her life. “Hello, oh my how cute.” She replied holding out her hand in front of Matt to shake her hand as well. “I’m the Dr. assistant and nurse, Kasi.”

Jing carefully mulled over the answers he was given "Silence is very good sir." he reasoned aloud. "Very good, and the spoils of war go can as I said, go to those who want it, they are not for me."

the drink in his hand, was finally finished with an audible glup as the actors moved away from the stage for an..... intermission.

"Yeah... yeah it.. it is fun," Jerry said distantly, huddled over his water with a distant expression. Always busy. It wasn't as easy as just burning a building down with the people trapped inside- dental records could help identify bodies. So one had to get rid of the bodies. The only connection between each 'accident' had been that it was impossible to track any one involved.

Busy busy busy.

The crackling of boiling products and crumbling timber was like music... and he was a conductor.

Ying raised an eyebrow at fixing appearances, but didn't comment. It was his work, his job. It would've been touchy to get in an argument here. For all she knew, he was on the Watch. If she picked a fight, the entire bar would be on her like white on a polar bear.

The assistant was much easier to focus on. She was amiable, and Ying always liked making friends. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Kasi!" she said, but ignored the woman's offer for a handshake.

Turning back to Matt, she said, "Rather odd for a Doctor to be out on the town with a dame nurse. Are you both part of-" Her eyes flicked to Harrison. "His crew?"

Sometimes it was hard to tell when Serafina was just spinning up the standard politicized bullshit that she threw at everyone to expand her own status and when she really meant what she was saying, but something about the man in front of her made her feel guilty for even considering the idea of lying. He seemed too ... good, really. He seemed like the type of guy who didn't really belong mixed up in this situation, but in all the same way, it made her even happier to have him around.

Admittedly, it was easy to forget what really mattered when she was surrounded by nothing but asskissers and asskissing on the daily.

She took a small sip from her drink, setting it down by the wayside again as he cleared his throat and made a very honest attempt at not looking flustered. Considering how red his ears were beginning to become, she could see the contrary, and it was ... nice. To have someone who wasn't so two-faced in front of her was a relief she didn't have terribly often, but perhaps that was the benefit of The Family.

Serafina raised a hand as if to say it was no trouble, before lowering it and listening to him say he would do whatever he could to help the family. She lifted her iced tea and tilted it towards him in a way of showing a small cheers, before taking it to her lips. "I'll drink to that. You stick with your family, no matter who they are, and we'll all get through whatever's thrown at us."

Even whatever nonsense was being granted by The Voice.

Wait what? Where was he? He didn’t know. He wasn’t outside that was for sure. There were doors in front of him and voices from the other side.

Was this blue kingdom?

He didn’t know, his breathing came fast and rapid, and he took a minute trying to calm down and think, and take in his surroundings. This was not how he wanted to spend his first outing… his only outing. He shoved those thoughts out of his head and tucked his tail closer to his leg. There was nothing he could do about his clothes, they would have to suffice until he traded up. He needed to look decent, to make a good impression.

Kasi pouted as the girl ignored her handshake, most people would kill for a little bit of attention from her this girl was just willing to toss it out. Oh well, it’s not like she could make her right, instead she placed her unwanted hand on Matt’s shoulder as she picked up her drink again. “Well I guess it’s nice to meet you as well miss.”

Matt nodded, “Well depends on what you mean by crew. Harrison is part of my extra income not to say that there aren’t plenty of people around here always wanting to fix something about themselves. I just never turn down more work, besides it could be worse especially on the other side of the fence. As for Kasi, she never turns down the chance to attend a party regardless of who is hosting so she ends up being my plus one." Matt replied ignoring Kasi who hung on him, I’m taking a guess from the look you are not a fan of Harrison are you.”

The end of the portal came at Olivia like a brick wall, and thankfully not an actual brick wall or one of the many doors that appeared in front of her. It was so suddenly, but when escaping for one's life in the sea of people... it would probably happen that way.

The thin girl let out a breath she had no idea she had been holding and once her feet were on the ground, she felt herself fall towards it on her knees. Her head hurt, her hands did, knees and legs. Everything hurt. "Ow...." she whimpered, not even thinking about first impressions for the moment.

After a few more deep breaths he managed to regain some composer when he heard a body emerge not far behind him. He turned, finding a small girl, one he thought he might recognize from the market. From the look of her, she had a much rougher time getting through the portal then he did.

“Are you hurt?” she became a distraction to his own pain, (though he was uninjured). She was perhaps one of the last living people of his home kingdom, a kingdom that no longer existed. She was important, something to keep safe for now, until he managed to figure things out. Maybe the kingdom was not truly fallen; he was still here after all. But for how long, he had to wonder. First he needed to see the damages, and then he needed to decide what was next. They did still need make a good impression, now more than ever, as they had nowhere to return to. He bent down next to her trying to access her injuries.

Someone was speaking to her, she could gather that much through the soft pounding of her head. It was a dull ache, perhaps from hitting her head against the ground - had she? Or maybe it was from hitting people? She wasn't sure. Olivia pressed the ball end of palm to her temple as she turned towards the speaker.

"A... little," she replied, unsure herself of the extent. It wasn't really that far of an assessment, her head was probably the worst of it and would be nothing more than a little concussion. Her knees were scraped up a little from hitting the pavement, along with her other hand from trying to break the fall. And really, little pebbles and debris would be an easy fix.

Her companion seemed to have gotten out a lot better than she had, from what she could gather. "You're from Silver." It wasn't a question really. And there was some relief in that statement.
