[WORKSHOP] First Aid Basics 1 (OPEN) PG 8!!

The first try had been good, but this second one needed to be fabulous. Stupendous. Marvelous. Amazing.
So for this attempt, the witch actually sat down at her previous desk. Without the distraction of standing she could fully devote her mind to imagining the attack, to creating the perfect picture of how the box would shatter to a million pieces upon contact with Belladonna's FEAR attack. Of exactly how she would stand when she created the attack, one hand in the air and the other, well somewhere. More importantly what would she wear? Ooohh yes, that was a very important question... Hmmm...
And that was the thought that derailed the witch and sent her mind careening off into a little daydream. When she realized she hadn't at all put her fear into the kit, she opened her eyes and looked about sheepishly.
"That last try was just fine..." She mumbled as she cradled the kit to her chest.

Strange that simple imagination could do so much. Mort blinked down at his kit when Cricket was finished speaking, knowing he still had to ask after a couple of things but deciding he needed to work on getting the defenses in working order first. Sliding the kit into his lap, he gained a concentrate frown and tried to gather his Fear for siphoning.

It was slow going, but after a few seconds the process seemed to get easier. Or at least every extra green bolt he imagined being shot into the vessel seemed to give his kit an extra bit of 'pep'. Not bad, he thought with a frown, but he could do better.

"You may exchange what is in your kit until you leave. I expected that everybody would make different choices when informed." the nurse replied.

So she needed to..reinforce the kit? She wasn't sure how good she would be at that, but took a deep breath to get to work on it anyways. She wouldn't know if she didn't try, after all. The kitsune had never been particularly good at battle, after all, and thus it took quite a bit of concentration to feel any sort of FEAR feeding into the kit.

She made a rather distressed noise as well, despite the visualization, opening up one eye afterwards.

Now, could she do that again?

Tomoko again kept her eyes shut as tightly as she could, holding the kit desperately. Unfortunately, Tomoko worked herself up too much to get another good charge of FEAR into the kit and almost sank into her seat, looking to Thackery with a look that said 'Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy'.

She was so bad at this stuff. Would she be any good at healing, anyways?

"Mrrr. . ." Okay let's try this again. The kit was just like, uh . . . a bulb. A lightbulb. A lightbulb he was charging up.

Energy was built up and flung at the vessel in his mind, though despite it being easier this round it still wasn't done enough to his tastes. Still, the kit's shield had been created at least. He turned his head to see Belladonna and Alex were still working on theirs, though it seemed the witch was having issues. He thought to bother her, but hmm . . . Maybe his presence would just distract her. He'd check in in a little bit.

"Ah, Miss Cricket? C-Couple've questions if don't mind." Which would probably just grow exponentially. He pushed his glasses up with a finger. "Potions first. Ah . . . Red is topical, s-so have guess is analgesic? Or is strictly numbing or soothing? Gold one s-said is internal infection, but can on undead or ghost or only people with living tissue? Didn't pick it but, ah, what does purple one do? Aaaand black one for that matter?" Blue he could guess since, well, throwing up was a great hint . . .

He probably should have asked all these before assembling his kit, but Mort's mind was often a bit distracted these days. Usually by whispers if not some new concern. Totally Insanity's fault for making his Fear derp up.

Tomoko decided to give it another try...

Except she still really sucked. Maybe she would just have to work really hard to make sure she and her little kit weren't attacked at all. Maybe Thackery would keep them safe and she wouldn't have to worry about it at all!

Alright, that second attempt had been downright embarrassing. This was not the time for imagining new outfits and epic battle poses! It was class and thus should be treated as such!
Belladonna fixed her gaze back on her box, frowned at it for a long moment and then closed her eyes again for a second try.
Except this time she kind of forgot to try. And instead just wrote a list of all the things she needed to do later that day.
"Jackdammit."

Okay. One more time.

She'd try this one last time and if it didn't work she'd cry herself to sleep over toys. Oh wait, she was going to do that anyways. Apparently worry was a good trigger for her FEAR, however, as she had amuch better time this time with fueling the FEAR shield, looking startled before she held it to her chest and looked around.

She was amazing..sometimes. Maybe not often.

And because it had worked so well the first time, the zomboil just did the same thing again, a slow smile spreading across his face so that he was practically beaming by the time he had finished. His Fear had seemed to peter out a bit at the end, but all in all he felt like he had done a fairly decent job, and was proud of himself for not having to redo it.

And now it was just time for something else. His smile faltered a bit as his eye drifted over towards the Nurse. He wasn't quite sure why he had always felt so intimidated by her, but the fact that he was now dating what had become her son just made it all the worse. He glanced down at his kit, watched the glowing centipedes, and swallowed heavily before lifting his kit and shuffling towards the Nurse.

"Excuse me, Nurse Cricket? I'm sorry I didn't quite hear you earlier when you explained but...did you say that the centipedes could store Fear? How exactly does that work?" Didn't hear, was distracted...same thing, right?

This time she would really concentrate! And not let her mind drift off! Constant vigilance!
Actually, constant vigilance seemed to work out pretty well as the witch felt the kit warm for just a second under her hands. Hey! That worked! Yessssss.
With all the triumphant glee she possessed she shot out of her desk and brandished her kit for all to see. Because that was an important part of this class, right?

Cricket had answered these questions already, but figured she'd entertain them again.

"Red is best used on external wounds like cuts or deep gashes that you can't stitch up because well.." she gestured, "I didn't give you anything for that." Why did she not give them anything for that? "Gold is one I have been drinking," she held up a new vial of it and sipped it again, "and yes, ghosts and undeads can use it as well. The purple one will eat dead tissue, so perhaps you have a wound that didn't get treated properly and the flesh is dying - clean it up with the purple potion then reapply the red potion and stitches if necessary." There, a straightforward example of how potions mixed. "The black potion numbs pain, which is helpful for fidgety patients who are hurting and won't hold still to let you fix it."

To Alex, she tilted her head to one side. "You can either give them FEAR the same way you gave the kit a shield or...." she moved and pressed her finger into her forearm, splitting the ectoplasm neatly. Her own centipedes suddenly became riled up and began to feast from her.

"There is always more direct methods."

Oh Jack, necrotic flesh eating potion? No thanks. "Gotcha, gotcha." Good thing he'd already gotten into the habit of carrying around a needle and thread in his pants pocket. Mort didn't win Most Likely To Lose A Limb without some reaction. "Just t'be sure, black is ingested or applied like red one?" He didn't want to try forcing a potion down someone's throat and accidentally poison them or something.

It was curious to him that she had to fight off internal infection and acted like it was nothing, but he still had class-related questions to get through. Listening to what Alex asked, the zomboil blinked at the display Cricket gave them. Excellent. Mrrr . . . So if can store Fear, means act as healing potions? Like, er, Pumpkin Pills?"

"Black is best applied directly as well. After all, most pain that isn't phantom has an actual wound associated. You won't get a straighter shot into the system than that." she took another sip of the gold potion.

"You can use it in such a way, yes. Healing yourself or another. I wouldn't say you have quite enough FEAR to make it that effective, however." It wasn't meant to be an insult. Just a point.

Yin's eyes were wide as he listened to all of the information being presented, rather glad that he had not chosen some of the syringes and chalk. But what she was showing with the shield as she performed the physical demonstration? That called to him. Protecting things, pouring his strength into the kit, that he wanted to do, and he wanted to do well.

He held it carefully, focusing on it, and well, it was different to force his Fear through his hands when he was not actually unleashing an attack. He tried to focus on a barrier but his Fear slipped away and he frowned at it for a long moment, thinking about how he would try it again.
