(Quick question. What kind of dresses would one wear to the matting ceremony or what ever it is that is coming? Would it be tribal wear or more formal?)

Eve giggled. "He was trying for emotional support for you. He is just anti-social." Julian shot his sister a glare. "Call me as you wish Eve, but remember I'm the head of this household. Half the money came from my father and the other half from yours." The man commented. "I was giving logical reason as why I would make a good mate. You'll always be taken care of." The man commented. He still need to work on the emotional reasoning why they should marry.

Layla could only look away from the too. They were talking about mating and she had no part in this since she was still not a member of the village and probably would never be if the chief continued to brush the issue aside like he did because of some other issue she did not know about.

Layla just turned over so she would not hear this and so that they would would also not see that her cheeks were really flushed and beads of sweat had started to trickle down her brow. If only they had heard her before. It seemed like no one really cared about here. She tried so hard to fight back the tears that were about to come.

Marcus laughed and he was about to ask her to be his mate when he noticed the girl move he grabbed a cool wash cloth and walked back over to her and turned her so she was on her back and put the cloth on her forhead. "Keep this there ill be back in a few." he said as he walked to a pillow and lifted it revealing a secret door

Mara raised an eyebrow at the secret door before giggling a bit. "What's this now? I didn't think a hunter or healer needed a private room to do their jobs. Or are you really a serial killer and this is where you keep your trophies?" she joked.

Layla just laid there contemplating who would want to be with her and she came up with the answer no one. She was a total stranger to this village who was yet to be accepted by anyone and may never be accepted by the village. She sat up. "I can't stay here especially if I won't be accepted by anyone else in the village." She slowly got up and started to walk towards the door. If the chief was to busy to meet with her than no one else would either probably. She had a feeling she was doomed to be alone for the rest of her life never to know what motherhood was like never to know what it would be like to be touched by the one person that loved you.

"You have two days before the mating ceremonies begin. You have until then to give me reasons why I should be your mate other the for meat or bath oils or even money." Alice points out. "As for now, I'm considered 'open season' until the mating ceremonies start at the stroke of midnight and the full moon is up. If you are dead set on having me as a mate, then you better prepare for a fight." She says, standing up. "I have dresses to prepare including my own, I will see you in two days." Alice says and heads back to her family's hut.

Eve giggled and followed after Alice. She didn't really work for her brother when it was her time so she followed behind the woman. "You should have seen the look on big brother's face." She commented with a giggle. "You know one of the reason's he thought you would be a good choice was because you already had money. If you had it would would be after him for our little fortune." She commented with a grin.

Lilian smiled calmly, "Having a large family sounds like a nice life. Having four kids, huh?" She said thinking about a life like that. "It sure will be busy." She blushed as she said, "I wouldn't mind having that many kids as long as My mate and I could take care of them." Lilian looked at him, "So how long do you think it would take you to finish the house? And do you have someone in mind as a mate?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah family is a team. I'd help cook here and that and once a month or so give my wife a day off while I take care of everything. When they're young I'll help clean, but as the children get older I would teach them to clean up after themselves." He commented as he started to munch on his sandwich. He listened to her ask him about questions such as when the house would be finished and who he had an eye on. He made sure to swallow his food before he answered. "The house will be completed right as mating season is done, so by the time I have any children it'll really be a home over a house. I'm hoping to make this place livable when the season starts that way when I get back on working on this in my free time. As for who I have my eye on, I'm not sure, I don't want to compete with Julian because he gets what he wants. I know that sounds like a spoiled rich boy complex, but he's not like that at all." Rosario commented about his friend. There was only two people alive that knew about the hunters past and why he was the way he was, but they weren't saying anything about it.

"Well that sounds nice. I'm sure whoever will be happy you will take some of the stress of house work off her shoulders." Lilian said sitting next to him. "And I wish Julian all the luck in going after Alice. She can be hard to please sometimes but a real sweetheart. I am not to worried about those two." She said smiling. "For me, I would love to teach my kids how to forge and gather things from the forest. It helps out so many people and keeps the village working."
