I pretty much always knew my sexuality and tried to actually push it away (I'm bi.) A few things still stick in my mind whenI learned to accept it and I came out to friends and family about 2 years ago. The only person I haven't come out to is my older sister who's 20:
Telling good girl friends on a walk:
Me - I'm bi
friend 1 - Really? Haha, right.
Friend 2 - Who's hotter: Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears?
Mom and dad (while in car fighting):
Me - Blah blah I'm bi! So there! Blah blah
Mom - Why can't you just be normal?
After telling guy friend that is gay:
Malachy - I kinda find the concept of bi people selfish. Can't you just like one sex and not feel the need to like both?
Me - I can't help how I'm born. Just because I like both sexes doesn't mean I'm a sex maniac!! I though you of all people would know considering you did say you like girls just a little.
Malachy - Ya, guess you're right.
After telling brother, he talked to my sister (one I haven't told) and she told me later about this. Of course, she though it was a joke:
Ben (bro) - Haha, remember when Krysta said she's bi? That's not true right? She's just joking.
Kaylyn (sister) - You're so friggin gullible!
Mom and me in kitchen, somehow me being bi came up:
Mom - you don't still think you're bi, do you?
Me - Uh, ya! You don't just change your mind!
Mom - But you can't be because you're with Justin (my bf of almost 2 years)
Me - What? (apparently she thinks I have to have a boyfriend and girlfriend at the same time or something?
whee )
Ya, so those are the moments. Share yours since I haven't seen much talk on sexuality, and this is a place where we can freely talk about it.
