Thoron_Dread Juria smiled over to her and looked back up to the stars again. "Then I am sure you are destined for something great. You have a lot more to live up to than I." he stated looking down some unwanted memories pushing their way back into his mind making him wince slightly as he looked down below. "Anyways, no one should have to live to the expectations of others, as long as you make your own expectations, you are well off." He gave her a warm smile although inside he could feel the hurt in himself to his own words. Gemini looks up at him, "Yeah, I suppose so.." She leans over against his arm. ".. but I have never done anything great.. and I really don't expect that I ever will", she says with a sigh while directing her gaze out into the darkness. She realizes that he seems upset so she thinks for a moment about what to say to him. "I don't know what it is about your name, your life, or your past that seems to upset you so much, but don't worry about it too much.. if it's all in the past then you can always just look forward to your future instead", she says as she wraps her arms around his as to hug his arm. After a moment or two she realized what she was doing and quickly moved away as another blush formed over her face. She didn't know if she should apologize or say nothing so she just sat there staring at the ground not knowing what to say.

As she leaned over and hugged his arm he suddenly looked over surprised. Due to the fact he had never really felt any sort of affection, it took him a few minutes to realize what it had meant. He blushed slightly and looked down over the cliff again like he had many a time before since he had been here. He actually felt a bit disappointed when she let go, but made sure not to let it show. Quickly he regained himself to speak in reply. "Sadly, its a lot harder than you think after your past has had such an impact on how you think and feel." he stated looking over to her with a soft smile, again not trying to show his feelings from a few seconds ago. "And I hate to admit I think this way, but honestly, sometimes I wonder if the future will ever be any better. While I realize now the past is behind me and I am set up for a brighter future, I just don't see what is ahead that can be better than what came before. Its this unknown that can sometimes draw the most worry." He sighed slightly, his bangs slightly falling into his eyes as he looked back down again, not seeming to be able to direct his gaze at one point for any great amount of time.

"There's a reason that I never really smile, you know.. it's not that I don't want to it's.. it's just that for as long as I can remember I've never had a reason to.. I've never felt the need to do so." She sighs. "But the thing is.. as long as you don't know what's in the future that gives you the chance to make it whatever you want it to be. You just have to want it bad enough and try.. you have to be willing to work for what you want and let nothing get in your way." She notices that he didn't really seem to be bothered by what had happened shortly before so she watches him cautiously as she leans back over against his arm again. "If only I could take my own advice..", she says while looking off into the distance.

Juria nodded and sat in silence for a few moments as he let her words sink in. He twirled them around in his mind, tried to make out a definite meaning, and when he did he wondered just how true it may of been. His gaze continued to rest on the ground below the canyon looking at the trees as the wayward wind rustled their leaves. Slowly he looked back up though, the moon shining onto his face and iluminating it slightly, the wind blowing his hair against his face as he spoke in a soft calm voice. "honestly smiling is over rated. Everyone does it and half the time it is void of meaning. Only placed there to fool others into believing something that isn't true." slowly he looked over to her. "And as for the future, we can only hope for the best, try as we will. We are not the only ones who shape our future, those around us do also. Lets just hope we surround ourselves with those who direct our future in the way we wish it to be directed in." He paused for a second and looked up to the stars and let a few seconds pass before he stated one last thought. "Sometimes I look to the stars...and I wonder if one day, I may actually have a true reason to smile."

Isn't that the same as lying really? I see no point in lying.." After pausing to think for a moment she asks, ".. if you have no true reason to smile.. does.. does that mean your smiles are fake as well?" Looking up to the sky she begins watching the stars and thinking about what he said. "I suppose in a way you're right, ya know, about only partially choosing your own path.. I should know that rather well.. but I can't help but to think that we have more input in it than other things. You choose the people you spend time with just like you choose the ones you avoid or choose your clothes for the day. That gives you a little more input into than the other factors.." She looks back to him, watching as the wind blows his hair in his face and seeing how his eyes seem to shine under the moonlight, "I guess I just don't want to believe that something other than me can choose my fate.." She then takes his hand in hers while still looking at him. "Can.. can I show you something?"

It was then he seemed to notice she was leaning against him again, and finaly was about to speak before she said her last statement. He seemed slightly surprised, maybe even caught off guard especially after she took his hand. Slowly he nodded, not another word escaped his lips as he looked at her suddenly seeming to notice just how beautiful she looked.

Thoron_Dread Juria nodded and once again stayed quiet as he took her words to mind as she poke, seeing the truth and meaning in them. It was then he seemed to notice she was leaning against him again, and finaly was about to speak before she said her last statement. He seemed slightly surprised, maybe even caught off guard especially after she took his hand. Slowly he nodded, not another word escaped his lips as he looked at her suddenly seeming to notice just how beautiful she looked. Gemini moves her head back off his arm gesturing for him to hold his arm up slightly then placed her hand beside his, forming a bowl like shape, as a flame starts to grow in their hands. "This is what controls my life. It controlled my past and it controls me now.. I don't want it to control my future. I want to control it. I want to control the future myself", she says while watching the flame grow. "In a way I do control it.. but that..", she pauses for a moment, ".. sometimes that isn't enough", she says not removing her gaze from the flame. (( I found that picture on photobucket.. I couldn't find one that I liked that didn't have the water in it lol. ))

Joria looked in amazement as she sploke and looked to the fire in her hands wondering what she meant by that it had controlled her. Slowly he moved his other hand over beside hers and a small flame formed as well. It seemed a bit weaker than hers, but it held strong. "I myself have let my own abilities control me, the way I act, who I surround myself with, what I do, where I go. If you want I can try and help you... you shouldn't have to feel controlled." he frowned slightly as he thought about his ability, he almost felt ashamed. He was incredibly afraid to tell her or she would be terrified of him. After all he would be too if it was the other way around. That was his curse and he had to live with it.

Thoron_Dread Joria looked in amazement as she sploke and looked to the fire in her hands wondering what she meant by that it had controlled her. Slowly he moved his other hand over beside hers and a small flame formed as well. It seemed a bit weaker than hers, but it held strong. "I myself have let my own abilities control me, the way I act, who I surround myself with, what I do, where I go. If you want I can try and help you... you shouldn't have to feel controlled." he frowned slightly as he thought about his ability, he almost felt ashamed. He was incredibly afraid to tell her or she would be terrified of him. After all he would be too if it was the other way around. That was his curse and he had to live with it. Gemini looked at the flame Juria formed in his hand then looked up at him. "Y-you can do this too?", she said with a somewhat shocked look on her face. Looking back down to the flames she thinks for a moment. She was curious about what he had said. "Honestly.. I would love to have you try to help me with this.. but.. I don't think it's something that you could actually help with.. I.. I have to do this on my own", she says calmly. "Though.. you said that your abilities control you as well.. do you have any others?", she asked curiously before stating "The one thing that I do know is that even though this flame controls me.. I also control it." She clasps her hand together with his, extinguishing the flame, holding onto his hand. "No matter how much it burns.. no matter how big the flames get.. and no matter how much it hurts.. I can always extinguish the flame. It just depends on if I can put it out in time or not." She looks back up at him and leans over against his arm again, still looking at him, watching the moonlight shine on his face.

Juria sighed slightly as she asked him about his 'other' ability. He hesitated slightly, he didn't want to lie to her, but he didn't want her to judge him because of something he had no control over. He wasn't a bad person just because his abilities had caused him to do bad things... He frowned and looked away, the wind seemed to slowly blow northward sending his hair blowing to the side again. Slowly he looked to her with a deep sigh as he finished listening to what she had to say. He guessed he could trust her, after all from what she said she wasn't far too different from him. "I do have something else, manipulating fire is only a small side ability i have...my true one is much darker." His words seemed to slowly fade as once again unwanted memories flooded him as he thought about what he had done. He winced before continuing. "The only thing that lets me create fire is honestly my true ability. I really control molecules...speeding them up to create energy and heat..." He paused again and wondered if he should continue or not, maybe he could just stop there. He didn't need to go into what ultimately happened when he sped them up too much. He decided to sort of jump from that and respond to her earlier statement. "Anyways, while I may not be able to help, I can atleast be by your side" he stated.

I mean.. I would like to have you with me." She pauses for a moment, seeing the hurt, upset, look on his face bothered her slightly. She didn't want him to be upset. "I can stay with you too.. if you want..", she says before leaning up and kissing his cheek softly. She then moves back, hiding her face against his arm trying to conceal the blush that had just formed on her cheeks.

Juria seemed to take no attempt to hide the blush that also worked its way onto his face at the kiss. After all he felt no need to, but as if to mock him a few memories shot by again, images he once again wished to forget. While he wanted more than ever to stay by her side, his heart pushing him to find something he never had, his mind was sure to remind him how much of a danger he was. Juria slowly moved his hand over to hers and interlocked his fingers with hers. "Honestly I am scared...I have never let myself have any friends, or get close to anyone because of what has happened in the past..." slowly he trailed off letting his mind settle a bit before continuing. "Someone once refered to me as a ticking time bomb and I don't think they are too far off. After all its honestly only a matter of time before something happens and I lose control again. I just don't want to be near you when that happens" he stated. Yet he just noticed he also never told her no, he didn't want to, he couldn't. But he had to atleast warn her of his secret.

"I do know that I don't let what other people say effect what I think of someone though.." She pauses momentarily. "I could always be here for you when you need me to be and you can go away when you think things will be bad.. honestly, I'll probably do the same if I feel I need to." She moves off his arm again and looks up at him "I guess.. I guess I'm just saying that I don't care if you can be dangerous because I can be as well.. and.. umm.. and I'll stay with you anyway.. unless.. you don't want me to."

A genuine smile touched Juria's lips as she spoke. The thought of having company, a friend, without having to worry about causing anyone pain was an amazing thought. Her words were more comforting than he could explain. He slowly looked over to her, his eyes locking with hers. "Honestly, it would mean everything to have your company." he stated unable to tear his gaze away. "I would be a fool to pass up such an opportunity, one I never expected to find." And it was in all honesty that he spoke. He always believed he would be alone, that people would stay away due to fear of what he could do, but she didn't seem afraid, she understood, and that understanding was also very new to him.

Thoron_Dread A genuine smile touched Juria's lips as she spoke. The thought of having company, a friend, without having to worry about causing anyone pain was an amazing thought. Her words were more comforting than he could explain. He slowly looked over to her, his eyes locking with hers. "Honestly, it would mean everything to have your company." he stated unable to tear his gaze away. "I would be a fool to pass up such an opportunity, one I never expected to find." And it was in all honesty that he spoke. He always believed he would be alone, that people would stay away due to fear of what he could do, but she didn't seem afraid, she understood, and that understanding was also very new to him. Gemini felt something that she hadn't felt in a while. She wasn't sure exactly what it was but she knew that she was happy. Maybe things like this were why people actually smile. Real smiles, not the fake ones that littered the world. Looking into his eyes she didn't really know the right words to say, she just knew that she couldn't look away. She thinks for a moment trying to form a reply in her mind then says, "Then I will stay with you.. just.. just one thing.." She pauses momentarily and reaches up brushing his hair out of his face. "I.. I want you to stay with me too.. even if you get scared. That way neither of us will have to be alone if we don't want to be. Only leave if you have to."
