Marcus smiled slightly as he shook his head. "You tossed him aside at the cave, you could have easily used his energy to get yourself out of the way or at least deflect the blast that was coming your way, but instead you threw him aside and let him watch as you took the hit head on. A noble act none the less but it still hit him pretty hard. Plus there are plenty of things to get mad at him for, me being here is something that could have been prevented if you had I gotten mad at him at the hospital, but you let him put himself on the hopping block and get injured by those things. If you were his partner, you wouldn't let him put himself in harms way or let yourself get hurt when he could easily help you. You're a failure of a meister." He finally turned to her with a big grin on his face. He walked up to her and gripped her by her wrist. "You aren't ready to be a meister, you only know the life you have here and think that just because you want to escape from this life, you can drag someone else down with you. Is that really the right thing to do." He began to leak madness into her from their touch, but was doing it slow enough that she wouldn't notice and use her purification till he had planted the seed of madness in her.

She said as she looked at the ground "It seems no matter what I do, I always end up hurting him in some way... " She said as she pulled away her wrist from him "But I won't give up, I may not be the best meister, but Marcus has helped me more on becoming a better one. I will try my best to make sure that I am there for him no matter what and I will help him get through this, starting with getting rid of you." She said as her wings suddenly appeared again. ✼

Marcus chuckled as he just shook his head, having done what he needed to do, shrugging as he walked away. "Well cant say I didn't warn you, in all honesty, he feels his own partner doesn't trust him to protect her. If you had of let him help you, he could have simply changed back to normal and used his more potent attack in order to stop the blast. You've seen what it can do, and it would have managed to at least deflect the blast. Yet you tossed him aside like trash cause you didn't trust him. How are you ever going to achieve resonance down the road if he feels you don't trust him?" The seed he had planted in her was the same as his, and he was using his words to feed it and give her a reason to fear her own abilities and lower her effectiveness. The more he got her to doubt herself and fear that she wasnt good enough, the more it would infect her and only intensify those fears till it was fused with her very soul and impossible to get out.

Marcus sighed slightly and just turned and went back to staring at the forest. "trying to put it like that doesn't change the fact that you still threw him away. He could have changed back into his human form and use it himself in order to protect you. Marcus would never tell you himself cause he is too scared of losing you as a partner and his love interest. He would rather keep his worries to himself than risk jeopardizing you as a partner."

Marcus laughed slightly and shook his head as he formed his arm into a cannon. "But you see, I am Marcus. If I were to do this," He pointed his cannon under his chin and formed the blade but only to the point that it was just under his chin, "Then Marcus dies, whether it's me as Marcus or him as himself. It doesn't matter whether you want to realize that I am Marcus just as much as Marcus is Marcus. So I'd say stop treating me like I'm nothing when in honesty I'm just as much your partner as he is."
