"No problem." he quickly promised, swinging their hands between them. He smiled at the bouncing mass of curls next to his girlfriend, chuckling at the young boy's enthusiasm. Chris followed Ginny to her apartment, and smiled. "I'd love to come in, buddy, but maybe you can show me your trucks some other time. You have to go to sleep so that you can grow even taller than me!" he grinned. "You want me to put him to bed..?" "Yes, Alex," Ginny said, shaking her head at how hyper Alex was at this hour. Of course, he was usually like this around new people so she should have have been surprised. "You don't have to do that..." she told Chris shyly, smiling at his suggestion. "I still have to give him a bath and... You had dinner at daycare, right, Alex?" Alex smiled and nodded. "I had chicken nuggets and corn!" Ginny chuckled softly and unlocked her apartment door. "Did you eat everything?" "Yeah! And then I had a cookie!" Turning to Chris, Ginny slowly pushed opened her door and said. "Please don't mind the mess. I only have time to clean on the weekend and well... it's not the weekend." She gave a nervous chuckle and then led Chris into her apartment. The messiest part had to be the toys scattered everywhere, but there were also dirty dishes piled in the sink, a stack of bills on the counter, and a makeshift fort occupying the space underneath the dining room table.

Chris shook his head. "Alright. Why don't you get Alex to bed, and I'll clean up for you? "Hey!" Ginny said, frowning at Chris's reaction. "You don't have to do that either... but if you're offering I guess I shouldn't complain..." She smiled slightly and kissed her boyfriend quickly on the cheek before ushering Alex to his room so he could pick out his pajamas. He chose his favorite dinosaur pajamas then ran to the bathroom for his bath. He was surprisingly cooperative, but as soon as Ginny was done drying him off and putting on his clothes, he was out the door to find Chris. "Alex!" Ginny said, tossing her son's dirty clothes in the hamper. "Come on, sweetie, you have to go to bed!"

He got to washing the plates and soon regretted volunteering. But, he couldn't just do nothing, so he went on. Finally, the dishes were done and he moved to the family room, cleaning up the toys. He got through half before a little blonde boy burst through to the front. "Hey, buddy," Chris chuckled, "What're you doing? You have to go to sleep. You know what happens when little boys don't sleep, right? The don't grow! Don't you want to be big and strong?" he asked, pretending to be completely serious. Alex listened attentively as Chris convinced him that he should go to bed. "Okay!" he said, grinning when the man said he would see him tomorrow. "Maybe we can play!" Ginny finally caught up to her son and picked him up from behind, causing him to squeal in surprise. "Alright, little man, let's go." She carried Alex to his room and laid him down on his bed. The two-year-old crawled under the covers but not before grabbing the book from his bedside table. "This one, mommy!" he said, holding the book out for her to read. "Sweetie, it's getting late..." Alex pouted and was about to put the book back when Ginny took it from him and sat on the bed beside him. Alex curled up next to her and fell asleep right before she reached the end. "Goodnight Alex," Ginny told him quietly, kissing him on the forehead before getting up to turn off the light. She then made her way back out to the living room to find Chris.

He finished cleaning the family room and sat down, figuring that Ginny would be right out. When it was over 10 minutes, Chris felt fatigue start to take over him and his eyes drooped. Pretty soon, he was slumped against the couch, soft snores emanating from him
As soon as Ginny stepped into the family room, Chris sprung up like a Jack-in-the-box. "I'm up!" he said, eyes wide and hair tousled. "Huh?" he felt disoriented. Ginny was surprised to find Chris asleep on the couch in the living room. As soon as she stepped on the familiar squeaky floor board, Chris jumped up and almost yelled. Ginny giggled and shushed him as she watched him figure out where he was. When he was done, he motioned her over and she took a seat beside him on the couch. "So... yeah..." she said, glancing at her boyfriend then her hands in her lap.

Ginny smiled, feeling tears begin to burn her eyes. "R-really?" she asked, her voice catching in her throat. "I'm sorry... I just... I'm just so used to guys leaving that I just... assumed you'd do the same..." A tear finally rolled down her cheek and Ginny chuckled nervously as she quickly wiped it away. "Sorry..." she said softly.

Shh, Ginny, it's ok..." he murmured, wiping her tears away before he could register what he was doing. He caressed her cheek with one hand and wiped away her tears with the other. "Don't cry... I feel like we're moving so fast..." he chuckled, a brief smile passing over his lips. Ginny sniffled and chuckled softly. "I know..." she agreed. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't be putting this much pressure on you..." As she started to turn away, Chris announced he was going to kiss her and pressed his lips against hers. Ginny's eyes widened in surprise, but she relaxed and kissed him back.
