The man in white smiled angrily, if such was possible, and opened his coat to reveal a set of syringes. One syringe was pulled out while the blanket was pried off Leon's body. The man smiled at the bloody sight of the knees and injected something into the man's neck. He hummed a tune while items appeared around him before noticing something. "Where is the destination you are going towards????????" he asked and tilted his head to Nikolai, whom was walking towards the doorway.
Nikolai was only a few steps away from the bed, but he had his back to the two. "I think I've an idea who's responsible for this." he said quietly and continued advancing a few more steps towards the exit.

Leon Court 'Nikolai...'
Leon stared out at the darkness that was his subconscious. Where was everybody? Where was Nikolai?

Nikolai stopped in mid-step and straightened up. He turned his a fraction, his silver hair covering his eyes, though they were obviously directed towards Leon.
The man in white seemed to notice something off, too. "Are you sure you are wanting to perform the action of leaving????????" he asked the Sin and smiled up at him. "I am having the thoughts that he might be needing you!!!!!!!!!"
Nikolai said nothing, just watching Leon. He could have sworn he heard... No, that was impossible with how deep a sleep he forced him into.

Leon Court'Nikolai!!' he called out into the darkness, starting to fear the worst. 'Am I dead? Or worse...'

Nikolai was instantly seated near the bed, holding Leon's hand with one of his own, and caressing his cheek with the other. "It's okay, dearie," he whispered. "I know it's frightening, but I'm here for you."

Leon Court"Nikolai! What's going on? Why is it do dark?' he asked the dark, feeling phantom hands caress him. 'I'm so frightened...I know I shouldn't be, but I can't help it.'

"You're dying, darling." Nikolai replied solemnly from behind Leon. "This is the realm that connects dreams to reality, that dark space that most people find themselves in when sleeping. For now, it's serving as your death dream."

Leon CourtTurning, the relieved smile soon disappeared. "Dying? But...I don't want to die," he said, furrowing his eyebrows. "There's still so much I want to do, not just on my own, but with you too. Nikolai...I don't want to go..."

"I know, sweetie." Nikolai said softly. He walked over and put a hand on the back of Leon's neck, pulling him down to a hug. "You're not going to die, not as long as I'm here." he promised and held him close.

Leon CourtLeon wrapped his strong arms around Nikolai, holding him tightly and closing his eyes. "I was so scared, Nikolai...I didn't expect him to pull out a gun. I tried to reason with him, but he asked me about you and I couldn't lie. I don't think he even thought twice about burning me to death."

So it was him, Nikolai thought with something in his eyes. Despite the deep fury he now felt in the pit of his stomach, he held Leon close and kissed the side of his head comfortingly. " It must have been awful." he whispered with some guilt sprinkling his tone. " I'm so sorry you had to be there alone, dearie. I'll always be by your side from now on, I promise."

Leon Court"The worst part wasn't being alone," he whispered , trembling. "It was the thought of what that monster would do to you once I was gone." Leon pulled away just enough to kiss Nikolai softly, trying his best to not cry. The stress of his near-death was finally beating down, and Leon was definitely at his breaking point.

The Sin kissed him back tenderly, filled with the fear he felt himself from the thought of losing Leon. It was a long kiss, a loving and compassionate epitome of their fear, their worry, their guilt, and, undeniably, the strong feelings felt for each other.
The kiss finally came to an end and Nikolai, both his hands holding Leon's cheeks, stroked them with his thumbs. "How could you worry about me during all that?" he asked quietly without opening his eyes.

Leon Court"How could I not?" he answered, his eyes shut as well. "When a person is facing death, the first person they think of is the one they love, and that's why he shot my other knee." Leon pecked Nikolai's lips again, smiling weakly. "I understand that you can't let yourself love me back. Being a Sin, it's too dangerous to admit love, but it's alright. I love you anyway."

The Sin could feel his heartbeat quickening, and it scared him. These feelings scared him. He was never supposed to fall for someone, he was meant to break hearts, drive people crazy. This wasn't supposed to happen... and yet...
Nikolai opened his eyes only a fraction after Leon spoke. He was silent for a long time, letting Leon's words hang in the air for a second. Then, almost randomly, he pulled the teacher towards him and kissed him passionately. "Just because I can't say it," he whispered after the kiss, his lips an inch from Leon's. "Doesn't mean I can't feel it."
