Dear lawdy jebus crispy flakes, here we go..
Name: my name is Courtney, but I also go by Twitch. A few others as well, but those names are hardly ToS acceptable. That, and I just don't feel like typing them all out. biggrin

Age: As of OCT 2013, I'm a whole quarter of a century. Or 25.

Sexuality: I'm a big ol' lesbian, and everyone knows. Even my wheelchair crap knows.

Where you live: Fort he foreseeable future I'm hoping to continue living in NE Florida. I don't want to move, because that means we'll go north and I'll be subject to something people call, if I'm correct of course, snow? I think that's how it's spelt. If I am wrong, don't bother addressing it, I won't believe you. razz

Hobbies/interests: My hobbies are a bit funny, and there's a reason I say that first. I have severe short/long term memory problems, so actually holding a hobby would be miraculous in of itself. That being said, I do spend quite a bit of my time on X-Box, playing with my lil PITA service dog in training, and the occasional trip to the hospital for a lovely set of full body MRI's. I try to dabble in calligraphy, but mostly fail, and although I never watch the sport itself, I love soccer! My entire life I've been in martial arts, and that's a passion that still rings true today, though I'm much more likely to watch an Asian movie than practice my Taiji. Just saying. I also adore reading, as it's almost like Getting off for my brain.

Other: As I think one, or more probably, all of you lovely ladies that's taken the time to read this, I'm sure some questions have raised about these medical issues I glance over. I won't tell the whole story, because that is way too long, and I am far too distract able as it is. I'm going to list what I have and I'll go from there. Thank jebus I have an app for this...

Basically, to cut it short of a wiki page sort of entry, unlike 99.05% oft he entire world's population, I have two spinal canals. We are all born this way, with one remaining the spinal canal while the other forms the spinal cord. For some reason, something the doctors have called it, because of Developmental mutation (yep, I'm a. Mutant, woo) they each remained, though I'm still unsure how my spinal cord grew, or if I had any awesome powers that are still left untouched.

I kid, I'm amazingly smartassed, sarcastic, and quite a hoot to be around when on a heavy dose of pain killers in the hospital.

Now with these dual canals, which neither myself or anyone else in the world knew about until I was 19, I was more likely to develop Syringomyelia/Hydromyelia, which both basically mean cysts around, on, or in the spinal cord. The norm is outside the spinal cord, it I am never that lucky. Also doesn't help that I have an long ongoing war with gravity, and she is one big b***h.

So when I was 19, I had to have neurosurgery to drain the cyst, because one day I looked as if I had as stroke. Not a good thing for a highly active, would rather die than be sick, and wouldn't miss a day of work to save her life, gal.

Unfortunately, the results of the surgery were two-fold. The cyst was controlled by a, for lack of terms, a pressure release valve. But the cyst has done serious damage to my spinal cord where the pain receptors all group before going into the brain. So I'm in severe neurological pain 24/7, and it will only get worse. Woo.

So that's me, and yes, that was the short version. If you need to ask questions, I wouldn't be surprised at all. smile
