Rusty growled at the woman. "I don't die easily. What takes the average youkai hours to heal, I can do in minutes. I'm not afraid of this demon or any trap he may have in store." With that, he looked at Tsuki and waited for her permission to leave. Tsuki sighed. "We should all go together Rusty. But if you're so eager, go find Kouga and bring him to us. Hotaru is right in that we need to work together and figure out how to keep everyone alive." Rusty let out a growl, then looked to Hotaru. "I'll find the wolf and the kid." With that, he sniffed the air and took off in the direction that Kouga had gone.

It wasn't very long before he spotted the other pack leader. Rusty called out to him. "Kouga! Stop!" He was getting close, but Kouga was still ahead of him a good distance.

Shippo took Kirara. She was tired and somewhat battle-worn. He hugged the neko close and looked at Inuyasha. "So, I can't go?" Tsuki looked at the kit. "Yes, you can. Come little kit." She shifted into her larger form and kneeled so the fox could climb on her back. When Shippo was settled, he looked at Inuyasha. "We're ready."

It seemed despite the worry endlessly gnawing at Gramps for Lorelai's safety, at some point he'd actually been able to catch a little sleep. Gramps's head suddenly shot up in mid-snore as his eyes popped open as he got quickly to his feet, fully alert in spite of not getting much sleep. He trotted over to join the rest of the group. "So, are we all ready to hunt down Naraku's castle? I'm ready to go if everyone else is." He suddenly bowed his head in shame as a thought suddenly occurred to him, "Oh dear, you lot weren't waiting on me were you? Terribly sorry, I'd hate to think I was slowing everyone down."

Now then...

After Kurama had made sure that Stian and the others were on the way, he had to catch up with the others. Though he himself felt tired after the showing off business Yoko did earlier he still is able to keep up more or less. Inuyasha led the group, fading in and out of reality and gaining distance while doing so. He listened silently as Hotaru spoke to th others gauging the group's weaknesses and strengths for battling against Naraku. "If need be I can set up a premieter of traps to cage in numbers of foes, and use plants that should be able to counter miasma." He tossed out some ideas that would give him and his skills some use in this battle.

Masato watch as everyone currently present was packing up to make a move to their next destination. With the party searching for Naraku had been prepared, Masato followed behind Stian, Koto, and the others back to the village while they carried their companions. The faster they returned to the village, the better off that the injured get first aid and lots of pleasant rest than their stay in the forest. He looked behind him, he shouldn't have done it, but it was good to know that the group would stick together through. The one thing he did believe was that they would be able to return with Lorelai and Kino safe. The group would be a whole again with the two back to their side, he did miss them even though he hadn't been around them for that long. They were nice girls, who would want to harm them? Everything would be pretty peaceful once the whole mission succeeds, although why wasn't Hotaru gonna accompany them? She had been around with Rin, so there was something about her being here besides from being patched up.

Koto found himself grateful for Stian's compliance with the request. He had no doubt that the cat would stalk back to Rin's side as soon as they reached the village. Glancing down, he prayed that Rin would be fine. This curse needed to end.







Once Koga had returned, she gave a brief nod. Looking to the others, she inspected them. "Let us go. We can't leave them long. Upon reaching the castle though, we will need to plan our assault carefully." Darting forward, she caught Kino's scent and darted forward. She glanced over her shoulder and saw Inuyasha following them close.

Once Gramps realized the group was starting to move, he headed up front to keep pace with Hotaru and the others. He nodded in agreement at Hotaru as he replied, "Aye. As much of a hurry as I'm in to save Lori-chan and Kino, it certainly won't do to barge in without a plan. We'd be no use to either of them if we wind up dead, injured or captured before reaching them." He suddenly looked around and noticed they were missing someone. "Wait a moment, where did the demon slayer disappear to? Don't tell me she went to face Naraku on her own?" Gramps had fallen asleep shortly after he'd eaten dinner and missed Sango's leaving the group along with all the commotion the injured Kirara had stirred up when she'd returned without her partner. Now it seemed they had all the more reason to hurry. Who knew what Naraku planned on doing to Sango if she was captured?

Tsuki & Rusega

Rusty growled at Kouga. "Don't think you want to find them any more than we do. They are our family." He motioned to himself, Tsuki, and Gramps. Tsuki nudged his arm. He looked at the large white wolf and nodded. This wasn't the time to battle over male egos. He turned to Gramps. "Chances are that he already has the demon slayer. Our best bet is to move as quickly as we can and try to be there in time to save them all." When he noticed Hotaru and Inuyasha starting to leave, he did as well. Tsuki was at his side with Shippo on her back.

Shippo held some of Tsuki's fur in his claws. Kirara was in his other arm. He looked down at the wolf. She was just as easy to ride as Kirara was. He gently rubbed the demon cat's forehead. She was asleep, exhaustion taking over. He had thought about leaving her with Masato, but he know she would want to be there to save Sango.

With the team split up, they had parted ways into two groups. Inuyasha's group headed to the castle while his group returned to the village. Masato proceeded with caution through the forest, the one mistake to have is to have one's guard lowered. It was possible for youkai to lurk behind the trees and shrubs of the forest to pounce on unexpected humans. Fortunately, the group had a couple youkai present, Stian and Koto, to help defend the unconscious monk on the way. He glanced over to Touga, who was coming along with them on their trip. He was uncertain for the kid to possess any ability to defend himself or the group. As long as they didn't run into any trouble, they could return safely to the village. He kept his senses attuned to the surrounding area and walked down the path. His Shikigami followed beside him, the pair on each side to protect Masato and alert to avoid danger at all means possible. Once they reach to the village, what was there to do? Remaining in the village would allow him to have time of his own. However... He would need some rest, he hadn't slept ever since the sun rose and he didn't want to pass out with the lack of sleep. A good nap sounded best at the moment now that he thought about it. He continued silently throughout the journey.

Koto's attention was focused solely on the group with him. He cradled Rin to his chest carefully, not wanting to injure her more. Hopefully she would awaken soon. Glancing behind him, he gave a small smirk at Masato. He would have to apologize to the boy for his behavior. Glancing toward Stian and Touga, he gave a small sigh. He needed to actually train the boy now.

Inuyasha's mind was too busy thinking about the things going on to really pay attention to the others emotions or talk. His claws were wrapped carefully around Kagome's calves as gently and firmly as he could. He wouldn't let her fall. His ears kept flickering back and forth. He was keeping pace in front of the group, moving past Hotaru, his nose taking in the scent of Sango. Naraku's scent had faded that only a full bred Inu Youkai could smell him. Thankfully, they had one. He was focused on Sango's scent. He knew it would lead them to where they needed to go. Grunting, he pushed himself faster. He'd almost be able to keep up with Kouga at this pace with those jewel shards in his legs. Absently, his form began to flicker, moving just a little bit faster as he moved from shadow to shadow. Of course he was oblivious. If he were to take notice, he'd find himself unable to do so as he'd be attempting to do it.




Hotaru had started off at a run, her mind already judging the strengths and weaknesses of this group. Her mind began to plan and analyze the situation for everything they would come up against. Glancing over at the others, she heaved a small sigh. "Do not argue about it. I have already seen that you jump before you leap Kouga. You would have jumped in on your own simply for the sake of taking out the halfbreed, placing the human on your back in danger. Even one human with spiritual powers cannot stand against an onslaught of enemies. We must work with our strengths." Looking to Gramps as he moved besides her, she witnessed everyone speeding up. Judging by the distance, they would reach the origin of Naraku's stench by nightfall. It wouldn't be good to go in at night. That prompted too much danger for the humans in the group. Speeding up to stay caught up, she raised her voice once more. "We will be there by nightfall. We'll need to wait till dawn to attack." She focused on Kouga, Inuyasha and the siblings. "It would be foolish otherwise."

The white cat had been edgy while Hotaru and Kagome cut Rin open, the air had frozen still more around him as he stood over her, he nearly lashed out at the two women but then their deed is done and over with, and they were bandaging Rin’s wounds. Then Koto came and picked her up, asking that he carry the monk and the boy. He rumbled a vague achnowledgement. The boy he can tolerate. But as the fox half-breen (Kurama) approached him to load the unconsious monk onto his back, then to put the black dog’s pup on his back. There seemed to be one more passenger yet, that being Kiara who looked utterly exahusted. Stian hesitated, beyond the humans he would care for the other feline if possible. Inuyasha had stated that the kit stay with the she cat. But the Kit is going with them. Koto and the human went on ahead of him, he walked up to Kiara and bent to pick the kitten form of her up in his jaws as if he were carrying a kitten in his mouth. After that the loaded up lynx turned away from the others, he began to walk away. He passed through a shadow and caught up with Koto & Masato in a single step.

Tsuki & Rusega

Tsuki was keeping pace with Inuyasha and Kouga, simply because of her larger form. When Hotaru spoke, the wolf growled in acknowledgement, her tails waving with every bound. She knew that her brother would want to rush in recklessly. She would have to stop him. The white queen was right about nightfall being a foolish choice.

Rusty glanced at Hotaru. He could tell in her voice that she was speaking to himself and to Kouga about a night attack being foolish. He nodded and kept focus on his sister in front of him.

Shippo was surprised that Tsuki was keeping up with Kouga and Inuyasha. He looked over at the hanyou. Something seemed wrong with Inuyasha. He seemed in his own world. Shippo wondered if Kagome could sense it. Kirara moved in his lap, adjusting to Tsuki's movement.
