It was harder to spot the swarms in the deepening dusk, harder to avoid them. Jordan realized that he'd gotten separated from Ryan in the dim light and the whirling sand; still, that didn't mean he could stop doing his part, or even wanted to. Another swarm came surging up around him, stinging and biting; it hurt rather more than he liked, but he managed a good swing through the thick of them before they flowed away into the sands again.

It was time to go hunting for objects. Leon had his doubts about this little scavenger trip, what with all the sand covering stuff up from heaven knows how long ago, the low visibility from the wind kicking up said sand and not to forget about the creatures lurking below, waiting to chomp on them to bits.
seemed more like a suicide mission in his mind, then again the whole mission seemed like one to begin with, like a company wide cleansing that needed to be done every 13 years.
Stll there was half an hour to search, and he was going to kick up as much items as he could. "come here tablet, we gotta get you home, or at least into my pocket."

Bupkes, nothing turned up others than a cloud of sand that clung to his coat before whisking away back to the ground. however there was a half buried table that was uncovered and leon took to time to grunt and heave the table over.

Another set of nothing vital, only a few scorpions that began to bury themselves deeper. Leon only waited to see if the creatures began running in another, less dangerous direction.
With a sigh it was back to struggling through the sand for a clue or something tablet-y.

Wilson wouldn’t have noticed it if he hadn’t nearly stepped on it. His boots grazed against something solid and he looked down. It was small and grey. He bent over to scoop it up. The sand ran between his fingers, revealing a cellphone. It wasn’t in the best condition, which hardly surprised him. There was a visible crack running down the screen and the phone was covered in scratches, but overall the phone appeared to be salvageable.

The trainee pocketed the phone into his jacket pockets and continued searching, but instead he only found more and more sand. Wilson narrowed his eyes, tugging at his hood to keep out as much sand as he could.

Apparently, Wilson was a horrible finder even though he probably belonged in Hufflepuff. It made his RPer sad, but personally he didn’t mind. Right now he was more focused on trying to salvage more items despite the sandy winds. He tugged at his scarf, pulling it tighter and tighter so the sand wouldn’t get into his mouth. His eyes were constantly scanning the ground, but he still found nothing.

Robert was obviously not a Hufflepuff, as one might think, because he was not very good at finding. But he tried. Like a champ. He found nothing, but he tried.

Then again, he realized that if he couldn't find tablets easily, that meant not a lot of people had died. This was a good thing, wasn't it? So even though Robert tried his best to find a tablet, and failed, he wasn't disappointed by his failure. Every success meant a dead hunter, so he was happy to be a failure once more.

There was sand riding up his shirt and pants and in his hair and mouth and just ugh. Sand was getting everywhere. He could have sworn he was tasting it right now, and feeling grains stuck in his teeth. This place made him dislike the beach just a little bit.

Clerise's gauntlets were creaking with sand, the metal stuck in all of the little joints.
She stared at the tablets in her hands, sobbing.

Robert had spent enough time heading down one path, so he backtracked and started down another. All he could find was sand, as far as the eye could see - and not a hint of a tablet anywhere.

The further he trekked, the harder it was to see the camp back behind him. He turned to head back, putting his arm in front of his face to hide his eyes from the wind and sand, when he finally saw it. The corner of a tablet stuck out from the sand beside his shoe, and he sighed as he picked it up. He brushed the face of it off with one hand, but the wind blew sand back over it almost instantly. So he stuck it under his coat, said a brief sorry into the wind for the hunter who had to die for him to find it, and moved on.

He was almost back at camp now, as the time had drained by and it was almost at the deadline to return. His feet stomped the shifting ground as he battled the wind to get there, but he still searched, all to happy to find nothing else on his way back.
