Gale really was not in a very good mood - a fact that was made blatantly obvious by the very loud series of shots that were suddenly shot off in rapidfire succession from the sniper rifle he held in his hands.

Eva's hits really were sporadic. She went from hitting none, to eight, to none again, to five, to none again, and finally to taking out another eight.
What is wrong with this girl.
Whatever the case, she decided that now would be a good time to start dodging the blobs and just hitting whichever ones attacked her directly. She didn't want to break her FEAR shield, after all!

Madison got to her feet and drove one blade through a pile of chocolate slime or whatever the ******** it was. It splatted messily, but a burst of pressure and pain called her attention to another creature gnawing on one leg. She dispatched that one easily, then moved on.
... They dropped easily enough, and yet... and yet. Madison frowned. There were a lot of them, and despite the difference in opponent this was starting to feel uncomfortably familiar. She could just hear Allan in the distance now... in her imagination, at least.

Rep grinned like a feral thing as the blobs approached. To most people it looked like imminent danger.
To Rep it looked like another chance to hit s**t.
And ******** hell he loved hitting s**t.
Lifting Tracey in his arms he flexed his shoulders and charged, trying very hard not to take anyone else's arm off with the massive axe in such a small enclosed space. And in being cautious, he hit nothing at all.
Amazing.

Madison swung Kouki in all directions, delivering a series of punishing strikes that popped slimey heads like water balloons. Part of her wondered if they bled delicious chocolate blood.
The rest of her was repulsed at the very idea. Ew ew ew ew.

So chocolate apparently didn't like being whacked. As soon as she hit one, two more pounced on her. She flailed wildly, trying to escape.
So too much chocolate was a bad thing.

Hmph. These are pitiful, Kouki huffed, even as his blades cleaved through slime. To hear him talk, he wasn't doing a damn thing.
What is with you today? Ugh, Madison thought back, rolling her eyes and kicking at a gnawing slime with one pointed heel. These things weren't even that horrible, in the grand scheme of things. Would it have been so bad to just leave them sealed down here? Sheesh.

He couldn't move at all in the room, couldn't find room to swing Tracey without running the risk of hitting anyone else around. A couple of times he probably elbowed people by mistake before spinning off and trying to at least land a hit on one of the many many blobs around the room. How could he miss them? They were RIGHT THERE.
Why could nothing in this place ever be normal?
