The kiss, it seemed, didn't help matters, the light flickering between them in his trembling hands as his eyes rolled. Butterfly kissessssss ahahahaha-
Roar gave a miserable groan, Someone just shoot him again? Please? For keeps? please? Put that b*****d out of his misery already.

Marcus smirked at Leon. "Well, unless there is a secret back door exit... we'll hit it on our way out." Barney's rush was impressive to say the least, and Marcus felt a bit jealous of the fact they man could simply... do that sort of thing and shrug it off. Was it because he was a moon hunter? Or just Size always matters. No one asked you about anything ever Just saying.
Looking at the other trainees, it seemed Jerry was kind of not...all...there.
Note to self: Stay out of shooting range.

A large, beefy hand reached up and smacked the back of Jerry's head, "Eh! ********' glasses! Don't just let arrows fly into your ******** head! You ******** duck that s**t, bro." Barney glared up at the skinny Sun trainee, and poked his own head, "You may heal from that, but like there's a pretty big chance you'll end up all retarded and s**t from it."
The Moon hunter paused and gave Jerry's face a searching look, upset concern replacing irritation, "Oh s**t, bro! I think it may have really made you all like..." he paused, suddenly feeling the need to become slightly more politically correct in his wording when faced with the actual subject, "..uh....like, mentally disabled." Looking at Candace, he suddenly gave her a laser-like stare, "Okay, you're his keeper until we get out. I'm sure something can be done for him later, like maybe he can be de-retarded with magic or something, but for now...we just need to get him out. <********. I'll see if Sandy brought any helmets or someshit."

Rep eyed the interchange between Barney, Jerry and Candace while waiting for further orders on where they had to go. His approval for this guy just grew and grew the more he talked, seriously, it was about ******** time there was someone on the island who had an idea what was going on and could think like a real ******** man. Respect.
He snickered at his vague attempt not to call Jerry retarded, only to follow up with actually calling him that. Shrugging he made passing comment.
"He could probably have used one of those helmets before he even came in here man. He was always a bit ******** in the head since I've known him. Its probably an improvement."

Michael stared at Jerry and couldn't help but feel completely justified in his belief that Fear shields do nothing.
...Also why the hell where they only thinking about giving out helmets now.

Before was trying to reach for the arrow stuck in his back, except with Vanna in the way he couldn't get to it. He kept trying to extend himself, to no avail. He simply ended up looking like a dog chasing its tail. "Stupid. Arrow. HOLD STILL!" he snarled, cursing his short wingspan. In his reaching, he ended up bumping into one of the trainees.

The kiss didn't help. He was laughing. Damniiiit! She was about to try another tactic until Mr. Kitty Man came over and started literally hitting on Jerry. "Hey! Watch it!" She rubbed the back of Jerry's head, massaging his scalp with her fingers with a quiet sigh. Why, did he go and do that? Jackass. "Quit it. Fine. Fine. I'll be his keeper. Stop calling him retarded, okay? He's not. He's just...he does this...it's not mental disability it's just...don't talk about it." She was used to playing keeper with Jerry anyway... "Come on, Jerry. Let's get you away from the arrows."

Sandy frowned at Jerry's head injury. "I'm not really a Life Hunter, but I did bring some band-aids, not sure if it will help, but at least it will lesson the pain...." She trailed off, handing over a very plain, ordinary looking band-aid: it didn't even have a smiley face or Pikachu head on it. The Death Hunter turned around to see if she had time to find something a little more effective-
- Only to find Caelius was gone. It wasn't even a, oh, her division leader was moving majestically down the hallway, coat trailing behind him, so on so forth, he was honest to God simply not there.
Despite the thousands of prickling goosebumps she was getting and the urge to start panicking right about now, she tried her best to reason herself out of this little... hitch. Okay, he probably went ahead to do... whatever he did. Look pretty and stare at glyphs. The trainees had just hit a little hitch with the arrows and that glasses guy getting hurt and then having to help him, nothing huge, really. The Lair couldn't really be that big: at some point, they would rendezvous back.
Right? Right.
"Well, I'm sure Caelius is waiting for us just ahead," Sandy managed to lie straight through her teeth and was pretty damn of herself for not quite faltering, quite yet, "We'll just continue to push onwards. And meet up with him." No, wait, turn the topic away from the inevitable. "I want you trainees to be looking for tablets all along the way, if you see any, please let me know, or pick them up and carry them, they shouldn't be too heavy and can easily fit in your jacket's inner pocket. We're looking at one to two per person at the most, so keep your eyes open."
There, that should distract them long enough. Hopefully. She took a deep breath and continued walking forwards, flashlight scanning for traps in the darker corners for additional measure.
Click.
Sandy paused, turning around to the trainees. Silence. Both eyebrows raised, she turned back and continued walking.
Click.
The Death Hunter turned back around again, moving her flashlight against the group. Silence again until she turned around.
Click.
Okay, really? "Will you trainees please stop that?" It was less a request as it was a plea: the noise was really not doing much for her nerves.

Voices voices and... and one in his head and he should really be paying attention but it was hard, it was dark out there outside of his head. He was alright, at least physically, but even with all of Killzone and Candace's help, phobias were phobias and one could only cope how one was able. "M'ok," He managed distantly, "Don't... don't need-" He tried to concentrate on what everyone was saying. Some big guy- Barney? Right, Barney. Concentrate. - was smacking him and that seemed to be enough to make him blink several times, the dark room swirling into a bit more focus. Another man's voice, familiar and annoying and hard to understand with its accent, and a couple women...
"I... I'm alright. I'm f-fine, I just..." Right. He had done it again. Jordan had told him how dangerous it was to be doing that on Missions, and Killzone had tried to... hug it out of him, or whatever, in his horrible beefy sweaty arms but it was difficult. Like a switch in his brain. It was hard to explain, and so he didn't. The color left his face in the dim light of their flashlights just as he noticed Candace still hovering beside him.
Oh.
Well, horse feathers.
He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his head, "I don't need a bandage I'm... I'm fine, thank you. Sorry. Ah... r-right! Right-" He suddenly pushed forward to hurry after their leader and away from Candace. He wasn't quite sure what had just happened, although he had suspicions but... he didn't need her help. He could do this. He just... had to concentrate harder and... and not think about it too hard.
Which was a contradiction, and complicated things.
Tablets. Eyes peeled for tablets. "Like... the tablets in the Cove, Ma'am?" He managed, trying at least to save a little bit of face and hopefully keep his mind on more important things.

Michael looked around amongst his fellow trainees and spotted nothing that could be making the clicking noise; he sure as hell wasn’t doing it. "I don’t think that's us Miss."
...oh wow that sounded ominous.

Eva's attention had been focused on watching the rest of the trainees make their way through the hallway, so she hadn't noticed Before's presence until he literally made his presence known by bumping into her. Stumbling slightly, she shot him a look of surprise, though her expression quickly made way for one of amusement. Propping one of her hands up on her hip, she laughed.
"Before, what are you doing? ...How did that arrow even get there?" She placed one hand on Before's shoulder to stop him from moving, and using her other hand to grab and dislodge the arrow from where it was stuck. It was a good thing that the arrow hadn't actually been stuck deep in his back.
She looked up upon hearing Sandy speak up, frowning slightly at her words. Oh, had Caelius gone ahead already? Leave it to him to leave everyone else behind. However, she didn't have much time to dwell on this thought as they were given an order: search for and pick up any tablets that they may find along the way. Making note to pay particularly close attention to their surroundings, Eva reached out and gave Before a gentle push forward. "Let's get going, shall we?"
For the first little while that they were walking, Eva didn't hear the clicks, and so Sandy suddenly coming to a halt and turning to look at them surprised her. The second time it happened, it confused her, and the third...
She had heard it now too. What on earth was that?

A simple, "Wasn't me," left Jude's mouth as Sandy had told them to 'please stop that'. Sure he heard the clicking but it still wasn't him. There was no way anyone could prove it was him. He was busily looking for tablets like he was told to.
..This almost felt like an awkward moment in an elevator where someone tries to figure out who the Hell farted.

The Misty grit his teeth as the arrow was extracted. He could properly hold his weapon to his side now, and, despite the darkness of the caves, he smiled at Eva. "Ah, thanks for the help, Effort." Or rather he smiled at the direction he thought she was, it'll be a bit longer until his eyes completely adjust. His ears, though, were working just fine.
He initially thought the clicks was his weapon clattering against the arrow but no, it became apparent something else was making it. He gave a cautious glance at his surroundings, peering to look for any signs of the source or the tablets they were supposed to gather. Before wanted to ask what it could have been but talking seemed like a bad idea right now.

It seemed Jerry was back to his senses! That both worried and delighted Candace as she waited to see what he would do. He walked away from her in a hurry. Were it possible the sound of her heart breaking could have been heard loud and clear over the noises of trainees talking and recovering from the gauntlet of arrows. He still didn't want to be anywhere near her... That was okay. She'd just..she'd be his silent...distant keeper... Her heart hurt. ...Click? "Ma'am, it isn't us." Candace replied with a look of surprise and innocence. It really wasn't them!

Caelius had dumped them. How typical. They'd probably find him standing all mysteriously in some high place somewhere, which she suspected was typical behavior for him, his coat would be billowing in the wind despite them being underground and it would be all sorts of hunky dory.
"Watch out for Tablets, right."
Click.
Cass looked to Marcus with slight confusion in her expression. Had he made that noise?
Click
She looked to Bix. Had he heard it too?
Click
"......That's not me." she said out loud, looking around the room, shining her flashlight to see if she could figure out where it was coming from.
