The next game Sparrow tried was one he hadn't before. He eyed a bit warily, but with a curious sort of glance and then decided to try his hand on it anyway.
...needless to say, he did not do too well with it.

Eight "My fur was fluffy when I was a baby but now it's sleek and smooth. But fluffy is still the best!" Sibyl was determined to show Mister Leviathan the light. Even as he announced sleek scales were the best she pointed up at him with a pout. "I challenge you to an Awesome Contest, Mister Leviathan." She'd show him! "You're on!" Merope shouted, raising his fist and clenching it. He held his pose, the grin on his face fading as a stray thought settled down. "Erm... How are we going to go about this? I mean," he rubbed his chin and looked down at the selkie thoughtfully, "We can both shout at each other that what we like is better, and if we ask what other people prefer then that could take us all night... And if people ask about cuteness, fluffy would win. With scales, cool would win. How do you propose we do this Awesome Contest?"

"YEAH!" Sibyl shouted right back, though at his question she blinked and seemed to deflate a little. How would they..maybe they could leave and find the nearest pool? A race, maybe? No, no. The pool wasn't big enough for a race they'd need an ocean for that. But for an Awesome Contest? Humming thoughtfully, Sibyl looked all around the games area. Ghost-man? No, that wouldn't do. She'd never played any of these games! This wasn't fair he probably knew them all! They needed something that both of them could have a fair advantage at. Something someone who had never played arcade games before could play... "....That." Sibyl pointed at the Whack-A-Hunter game. That would be their battledome.

As the selkie pointed, Merope turned to look. He stared, then nodded slowly. "Alright. If I get more points, scales are more awesome. If you get more points, I'll agree that... fluffy is more awesome. For now." He made a face as he spoke the adjective, taking a step towards the machine before stopping.
He turned to face Sibyl, a grin on the flesh-side of his face. "Ladies first," He said with a bow, holding out his hand as if to politely assist the ghoul to the machine.

Sibyl pouted. "Fine." She began to follow Merope to the machine until he stopped to let her go first. She blinked. "..Okay..." Sibyl sounded fairly suspicious as she approached the machine, picked up the mallet..
Whoa! Whoa whoa whoa! What is even--GAH! HIT! MISS! MISS! MISS! HIT! OH GOD THE HUNTERS THEY MOCKED HERRRRRRRRRR!
Finally Sibyl finished, clutching the mallet with a wide-eyed look of horror.
What just happened?!
"Y..your turn..."

Merope took the mallet from Sibyl and grinned. "Alright, let me show you how it's really done." He turned to face the machine, grip tightening on the mallet. Okay, so it was the first time he was playing this. He had no idea what a hunter was, or why he should whack them. A challenge was a challenge though, and he hefted the mallet as the game began. He swung the mallet down as soon as he caught sight of the first one.
WHAM WHAM miss miss miss miss...
As the music faded, Merope scowled at the score. "Seven? Looks like we're tied," he growled, offering the mallet back to her. As he passed the mallet off, a glint off the ground caught his eye. Merope knelt down and picked up a silver seed, turning it over in his hand briefly before shoving it into his sash.
(( 7 points! ))

Merope was so confident, it had Sibyl worried she was about to lose really badly. Nooooo! Scaaaaaales! She picked up the silver seed while Merope went at it, holding it with a nervous whimper.
Seven?! "Well..I guess we keep going until one of us wins." Sibyl said with a pout, stuffing the seed in the non-existent cleavage of her dress along with the 9 prize tickets and accepting the mallet.
This time Sibyl came close to the score until the very last second. She dropped the mallet.
She dropped. The mallet.
Her life was full of despair in that moment.

Sosiqui As soon as they approached the game area, Malodore knew what it had to do: 1.) Obtain Foxfire plushie for Riley 2.) Reanima- ... and then it saw the Love Machine and its brain derailed, to be replaced with sheer confidence and that weird, brimming affection again. "Ah, mia cara, we must see if Science agrees with our bounteous union," it said, happily. Which it would, of course. It had tested rigorously before coming to this conclusion, it felt. "Come, come..." The plague doctor managed to free one hand and placed it against the meter. A moment later, it pinged, and Malodore's heart soared. "See? Science approves," it informed her, then nuzzled at her cheek again. Riley was hesitant to let Malodore play this particular game. She was well aware of how absolutely random the number generating system was. The game had been nothing but a farce, and it was meant for purely social amusement, but still.. there was a stigma attached to being found Fear-incompatible. Her number was a drastic extreme, and it would be too easy to be far from her. After what had just happened.. she didn't think she would handle the news very well.
She remained silent when it decided to play, and her hand clutched down on it's arm as the game buzzed and whirred, but when her number, her exact number blinked through the screen, her eyes brightened and her hold loosened. An exhilarating feeling swept through her, and she said words that she would never have said before (and would never say again.)
This is no science, mia cara. The hands of fate have brought us together.
Riley? Believing in fate? Absurd. But she turned to look at her beloved, and her eyes crescented in joy.
You are mine, and I am yours. It is settled. Come, I want to see you decimate hunters. Yes, even that was romantic for her.

"HA!" Merope barked, the sound coming more like a seal's laugh than a note of triumph. "You are so on! I'll prove to you that scales triumph over fluff!" He knelt down and swiped the mallet off of the floor, straightening up. Sibyl would have gotten a pat of sympathy before he moved to retrieve it, however considering where her skin was... Merope decided against touching her skin, even if it was an accident.
Merope started the machine up and readied the mallet, his eyes on the game in front of him.
As soon as he hit seven points, Merope stopped and pointed the mallet at the score. "There! You see?!" He cried, "Scales is better by one po- tide take me the game isn't over, is it?!" By the time he swung the mallet up into position again, the game had stopped.
Merope applied the mallet to his forehead in embarrassment. Whack.

THESE TASTE LIKE CHALK BUT FREE CANDY IS FREE CANDY.
Once again Titus found himself coming around to the chalky candy booth. Should he dare? Would he dare? You better believe it because he had yet to make his way over toward where the real food was. This would tide him over until then...or kill him while he waited. Either or.
Cranking the little machine Titus watched the little heart shaped antacid drop on the table. He looked at the message briefly, 'Eat Chalk', and scoffed before popping it in his mouth. It was very true, it tasted of chalk. Time to move on.

"The hands of fate and of Science," Malodore said, bobbing its head; it wasn't so far gone that it was going to give up on Science. "I shall obliterate them, amore mio. Where are they, that I might strike them down?" Oh, they were toys at another booth. That was slightly anticlimactic, given that Malodore was in a mood suitable for taking on the world. The plague doctor gave the game setup a dubious look before nodding. " Va bene - ah, good evening, Merope," it added, smiling at the leviathan and nodding at the unfamiliar ghoul as well.

I want to pin JUNKO!
As he continued to wander Titus stumbled on a booth he had overlooked earlier. Pin the heart on the student counsel personnel. How interesting. Strolling a bit closer his eyes set on Junko. The rendering probably wasn't accurate but he could dig the outfit. Titus could only hope the skirt was nice and short and she had a nice rack.

Before Titus could make a solid agreement to the game he found himself blindfolded. "Hey hey hey, what the- ow!" Something had been shoved into his hand, something with a pin. Prying the sharp point from his finger he felt the object for a moment realizing it was one of the hearts that had been on the table. About to reach up and rip the blindfold off Titus found himself spinning. Round and round he goes, where he stops only the demented little gnome knows.
Stumbling and off balance Titus fell forward the heart in his hand pinning to...something. When he finally pulled the mask away after orienting himself he spotted the grumpy cupid gnome looking rather displeased about the heart currently pinned to the side of his head.
"You deserved it..." Titus hissed before throwing the blindfold down and walking away.

The greeting prompted the boil to jerk his head up, nearly dropping the mallet in surprise. He squinted at Malodore for a moment, puzzled before grinning. "Ah! Good evening, Malodore was it? I'm sorry, I don't think we've really had an opportunity to meet yet. Hello, Riley, nice dress." As soon as he said the words, he couldn't help but to stare. That was... quite a lot of leg she was showing. He was surprised she even had legs at all considering the length of dress she wore. Merope always assumed that she had tentacles for legs. But that was beside the point. Merope glanced at his selkie companion and reached out to poke her shoulder, careful to not touch her skin. "This is Sibyl, and... I think I broke her." He stared at her, then reached out to poke Sibyl again with the Whack-a-Hunter mallet.

"I...I bet your heavy scales slow you down!" Yeah! That'd show him! Sibyl, the master of s**t talking. She was simply the best at this competitive stuff, you see. It's not like she had to do any competing yet...she was still a baby selkie. But nevertheless she watched anxiously as Merope hit one, two, four, six...her heart stopped when he hit seven. Sibyl died a little inside. A bull had just beaten her. She was ruined. Scales had won. She was still staring at the whack-a-hunter game when a pair of unfamiliar students approached them, and she slowly turned her head to look up at them with the saddest face ever. Okay, so there were no actual tears involved but she was definitely as Merope said. Sibyl was broken. She whimpered, she whined, and then she noticed something... "OmigoshyourwingsareSOPRETTY!" Sibyl gasped, her eyes suddenly going wide and her mouth forming a big 'O'. She looked between Riley, Malodore and Merope and noticed something. Everyone..everyone had wings but her. "...Wings are better than scales."Victory was Sibyl's.
