How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I've became so numb
Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home
~Phoenix Blackmoor~
Wake me up
Wake me up inside
I can't wake up
Wake me up inside
Save me
Call my name and save me from the dark
Wake me up
Bid my blood to run
I can't wake up
Before I come undone
Save me
Save me from the nothing I've become

Phoenix raised an eyebrow at Lynn when she said that the castle was a little boring, but since she had met her it wasn't completely devoid of life. Phoenix chuckled a little at that. "It is a little boring around here, it seems," she agreed, shrugging her shoulders. Phoenix personally was the type of person that liked to have fun, she was use to traveling the world and not staying in any one place for too long.

So far, she had found this place curious, but not as fun as she normally would have liked it. Still, Phoenix had hope that she'd find something fun to do. How could she not, with so many interesting beings under one roof? She was sure if she waited long enough, she'd find someone that she could have a little fun with. Someone that was as adventurous as she was.

She quickly cleared her thoughts when she realized that Lynn had said something about the place needing more spiders. That caused Phoenix to tilt her head to the side and look at the other woman curiously. "Spiders?" she repeated, raising an eyebrow. She gave the woman a quick once over. Hmm, Phoenix couldn't place her species, which meant that she was something Phoenix hadn't seen before. That list was small, which piqued Phoenix's interest. "I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that before," Phoenix said with a light chuckle. "Any special reason? Or do you just really like spiders?" she asked curiously.

Now that I know what I'm without
You can't just leave me
Breath into me and make me real
bring me to life

Bring me to life
I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside
Bring me to life
Frozen inside without your touch
Without your love, darling
Only you are the life among the dead

A grin spread across Nova's face at Shadow's reaction to her words. It may not have been much, but that arch of her brow told Nova enough for now. The other woman had only done that after she'd mentioned having some fun. Did this female enjoy the same kind of fun as her? She better hope so, otherwise Shadow was likely to find herself on the wrong side of one of Nova's pranks instead of helping to perform these acts. It didn't much matter to Nova which was the case, but it might be fun to have an accomplice.

Nova was far from being a submissive person. In fact. there was only one person in all of her years that had actually earned enough of her respect that she would listen to them and do what they requested. Not that she had done so on a daily basis... Something like that would have taken a miracle. You see, Nova could behave if she wanted to, but the ancient female usually found it more entertaining to do the opposite. Better reactions and what not. Sometimes, perhaps once or twice every century, she would play the nice little slave just to see how long it took for her master to realize she was the one making things disappear and all around chaotic.

The female shrugged a shoulder when Shadow asked if it was obvious that she was new. 'Course it was when you'd been here as long as she had. Her head cocked to the side slightly in the universal gesture of curiosity at the other woman's next statement. Who was this 'Red' she spoke of? Then again...did it really matter to her? She'd found someone that seemed entertaining, why should Nova care who had directed this girl to the den and bar? She had finally found someone to relieve a bit of her boredom; that was good enough for Nova at the moment.

Shadow, eh? That was an interesting name, but why was that her name? It didn't exactly sound like the type of name a parent would give their child. Did that mean that Shadow had chosen it for herself? And, if that was the case, why had she picked it? "Shadow...I like it, makes you sound mysterious." Nova commented with a grin. She nodded her head even though Shadow's question hadn't really sounded like one. "Yep, got here a few weeks ago."

She fell silent again as Shadow began to speak, voicing a few more inquiries. A mischievous grin found it's way to her mouth after hearing Shadow talk. "A girl after my own heart. You guessed it, my games usually mess with someone's head. Helps to have the ability that I though. I can think of any number of pranks that we could perform. Most of the Masters and Mistresses here are too soft to do anything anyway." Nova added the last part with a shrug, all that meant was that she didn't get in trouble as often as she would have in another place.

I tried to kill my pain
But only brought more
So much more
I lay dying
And I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal
I'm dying, praying, bleeding and screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?
Do you remember me?
Lost for so long
Will you be on the other side
Or will you forget me?
I'm dying, praying, bleeding and screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?

When Nova repeated her name, and said that she liked it, that it made her sound mysterious, Shadow gave a shrug of her shoulders, but a small -albeit very small- grin tugged at the corners of her lips. "Maybe a little," she agreed. That had been part of the reason she had chosen it, because she didn't want people to know who she truly was. There were many reasons for that, but Shadow refused to let her mind wander down that path right now. There was no point, after all. She was at a new place that seemed to house quite a few options of people to annoy, and it would seem that she may have found someone that liked to do the same thing. Which was a very refreshing change of pace.

Thumper went on to confirm Shadow's guess, that she had gotten there a few weeks ago, and Shadow gave a very small nod of her head. That would also probably explain how Nova had known Shadow was knew, she realized. Being there for a few weeks would mean that Nova had had plenty of time to get use to the people there and be able to quickly spot a new face. Shadow figured she'd probably be like that quickly enough herself, if she was here long enough, that was. Shadow was good at paying close enough to her surroundings, so she would be quick to notice those that were apparently living under the same roof as her. But, Shadow did tend to have a habit of pissing off people rather quickly, and usually found herself getting tossed somewhere else, so it was usually just as she was getting familiar with those around her that she would be moved on to somewhere else.

Not that Shadow really considered that to be a bad thing. There were simply some places that Shadow were happy to be away from after only a short period of time there. There had really only ever been two places that Shadow had actually sort of liked being at. But even them, Shadow had never considered them to be a 'good' place.

Shadow quickly dismissed her thoughts, shoving them to the dark corners of her mind as Nova answered her question. Saying that Shadow had guessed correctly and her games usually did mess with people's heads. When she said that it helped to have the ability, Shadow silently started to wonder what Nova was, exactly, and what powers she might have. Shadow was normally very blunt with her questions, and just asked them. However, before asking anything, Shadow thought about the possibility of the question being returned to her. Shadow preferred to keep her powers and abilities a secret, for the most part, that way people never knew what she might be able to do. But she didn't mind to talk about one or two of them, or even show them off on a rare occasion. But Shadow had never told anyone her true species.

Nova added that she could think of a large amount of pranks that they could pull. And that most of the Master and Mistresses in the castle were too soft to really do anything. At that, Shadow sighed, blowing her bangs out of her eyes. "Well, that's a disappointment. I was kind of hoping to really piss someone off," she said with a shrug. "Although," she added slowly, a faint mischevious glint appearing in her eyes. "I could consider that a challenge. See what it would take to make the softies lose their temper," she mused. Then shrugged once again. It wouldn't hurt to try.

Shadow stayed quiet for a moment, watching one of the other people at the bar. There was a girl sitting several seats down, and something about the girl Shadow instantly didn't like. The way she carried herself, sat so rigid in her seat. . . Shadow thought she was probably one of those women that thought they were better than everyone else, a snob, and probably a Mistress. In fact, Shadow was almost sure she was. Shadow turned her head, looking back to Nova. "Speaking of pranks," she said, lowering her voice a little. "See blondie over there? The one in the pink dress?" Shadow said, nodding her head towards the girl. "Watch closely."

With that, Shadow did a very small wave her fingers, almost unnoticeable unless you were watching close enough to see it. The liquid in the girl's glass instantly became frozen solid, turning it into a solid chuck of ice. The woman was just in the middle of raising her glass to take a drink, and the now frozen liquid fell out of the cup, and hit the woman in the face. The woman jumped as the ice fell to the ground and scattered, and then glared at the bartender. But clearly, it wasn't the bartender's fault. Shadow chuckled and looked back to Nova, shrugging her shoulders. "I have a few tricks of my own that I like to pull," she said, a small grin tugging at her lips.

She smiled slightly at Shadow's words, maybe a little? That was like saying 'maybe grizzly bears won't attack when provoked.' Or, at least, it was in Nova's mind. While she did like Shadow's name, Nova was happy enough with her own—it just felt right to her, being called Nova. Whether or not that had anything to do with her origin was another question entirely; and one the blue-eyed female didn't know the answer to. She had gone so many years without so much as a hint to who she was that Nova had finally stopped caring, or pretended to at least.

Nova was somewhat secretive of her powers, especially when it came to masters and mistresses. She didn't mind showing off a little bit though. Sometimes it was fun to display her abilities and then watch people guess what she could do, they almost never guessed correctly anyway. Her race was something even she couldn't name though. The woman possessed no memories of her past before her first awakening and has not been able to find another like her, or clues about herself, either. A bit surprising, really, when you consider her age. Nevertheless, she does try to enjoy life to it's fullest when she can.

The dark-haired woman chuckled when Shadow said it was a disappointment and she had been hoping to piss someone off but let her finish speaking before saying anything. A grin spread across her face when Shadow said she could consider it a challenge to try and make the softies lose their cool. "Well, I never said they wouldn't lose their temper, most of them just storm off on me though. It's entertaining sometimes but boring after a while when that's the only action I receive. 'Course with two of us it would be much harder for them to get away..." Nova told the other female, her smile turning devious as she continued on. "It would be fun, don't ya think? Maybe we'll actually get one of them to do something for once."

Her eyes lit with mild curiosity when Shadow lowered her voice and spoke. She swiveled the bar stool slightly to get a better look at the woman Shadow had mentioned and wondered what her new acquaintance. Her eyes shifted from Shadow to the stuck-up blond female after that little wave and those bright blue eyes widened at the sight which unfolded before her. Nova giggled at what she saw, loving every minute of it. Blondie deserved it in her opinion, she didn't seem like a nice person anyway—not that such a thing would have really mattered to Nova. It didn't matter to her if the person was good or bad, kind or cruel; she just wanted to have fun.

"That was perfect!" Nova told her in a hushed voice, a delighted grin spread across her features. The fact that Blondie seemed to think her drink turning into ice was the bartender's fault only added to Nova's amusement. Should she display some of her own skills now that Shadow had done so for her though? It would probably be right to do so... Nova scanned the room for a moment, searching for something she could use. Perhaps something simple first...? Ah! There we go!

"See the guy over there? Mister Cool in the shades?" The man whom she pointed out wore a white tee-shirt, leather jacket, and dark blue jeans. If she had to guess Nova would have pinned him as a master. "Watch this." Focusing her eyes on him, Nova made a small gesture with her right index finger—almost like she was drawing. A moment later the the shades disappeared from his face and a rainbow wig, something akin to what a clown would wear, appeared on his head.

Shadow arched an eyebrow when the other woman said that she had never said people didn't lose their temper. She'd just meant that most of them stormed off without doing anything towards Nova. Oh, well, maybe it would be fun to see them blow their top, then. At least at first, she had to agree with what Nova said, that it would probably get rather boring after awhile of seeing the same thing over and over again. What was the fun, if everyone had the same reaction? That had been one thing Shadow had liked about her previous residence: there was always someone different to annoy, and they all had such interesting reactions! There was one guy that his face had turned blood red and Shadow could have sworn that she'd literally seen stream coming out of his ears, she thought suppressing a chuckle at the memory. She'd had so much fun, she'd even pulled a second prank on him later that night, when she'd encased his pillow into a solid sheet of ice. And sort of catching some his hair with it. That had been rather hilarious.

Nova went on to say that two of them pulling a prank, however, would be much harder for their victim to get away. Shadow's lips quirked up at that. Nova went on to say that it would be fun, and maybe they could even get someone to actually do something. Shadow let out a light chuckle, a rare thing for the usually stoic female. "I like the way you think," she admitted, nodding her head. "Double-teaming a victim would be extremely fun," she commented, nodding her head. She could always think up several possible pranks that they could pull. Shadow herself had about three that she could pull within just seconds of each other. Paired with whatever Nova had up her sleeve, Shadow imagined they might get quite the interesting reaction out of someone.

After pulling her trick on the blonde woman, Shadow kept her eyes on her to see her reaction, but she was sure that she heard Nova giggling beside her. Shadow's lips twitched a little, at least Nova was enjoying the show. That was a nice change of pace: how many times had Shadow met someone that tried to berate her for her pranks? Not that it ever worked, of course. Usually if someone berated her for having fun, they would simply be the next in line for one -or five- of Shadow's pranks. Shadow never did let anyone get by trying to tell her what to do, after all. There was probably a whole list of witnesses that would support that fact.

She finally pulled her eyes away from the latest person to fall victim to one of Shadow's pranks and turn her head towards Nova when she heard the woman say that Shadow's prank had been perfect. Shadow grinned. Actually, her grin probably sort of looked similar to the one that Nova herself wore. Nothing could get a smile out of Shadow quite like a prank going right, after all. Shadow watched curiously as Nova seemed to be scanning the others there, and silently wondered if perhaps Nova was looking for someone to pull a prank on as well? Shadow realized that she hoped so. It was extremely rare for Shadow to actually get to watch someone else pull a prank.

Sure enough, Nova spoke, pointing out someone she had dubbed 'Mister Cool', who was wearing shades. Shadow turned her head in that direction, spotting the guy in question. Upon seeing him, Raven could tell right away why he had picked him. Between the shades and leather jacket, he almost screamed 'jerk who thinks he's it'. AKA the type of person Shadow always loved to take down a few notches. Oh, this would be fun. She wouldn't even have to do the work of annoying him. She'd just get to sit back and watch the show. Curiously, Shadow watched to see what it was that Nova would do. Normally she'd have been curious anyway, of course, but since she didn't know what exactly Nova's powers were; she wasn't sure what to expect.

Shadow quickly turned her head in the man's direction again, and watched as the shades quickly disappeared right off of the man's face, and just as quickly, a rainbow wig appeared on top of his head. The wig looked just like something a clown would wear, and Shadow laughed, putting her hand over her mouth to hide her rather large and devious grin. The man's reaction was rather hilarious itself, Shadow thought, her grin only growing. "Okay, I have to admit," Shadow said, turning her head back towards Nova. "That was a very good one," she admitted, nodding her head in approval. Dropping her hands down onto her lap, she glanced back at the guy, chuckling as he seemed to be trying to figure out where his shades had gone, and where the wig had came from. Then she looked back to Nova. "I don't say that often, so it's a compliment," she said, letting out a very light chuckle.

Shadow went quiet for a moment, running her tongue over her teeth. "I think I may just like you yet," she admitted with a shrug. "At least, we'll know for sure once we double team someone," she added, her grin returning. "That will be the true test," she challenged. Well, sort of challenged. Her voice held it's usual plain tone, but for Shadow, it was actually her way of joking. Whether or not that would actually come across, however, she didn't know. "So, see anyone here you would like to pull a double prank on?" she asked curiously.

Nova grinned as she heard Shadow chuckle and the words which fell from her lips. Really, Shadow was the most interesting person she had met in a long while—and this woman was so very like Nova herself, how much better could this get?! The biggest difference seemed to be that Nova showed her emotions far more than her new friend. Yes, Nova had started thinking of Shadow as a friend. She saw nothing wrong with them being friends, they were going to be partners in crime anyway. Ah, that would be so very, very fun. Oh the things they could do, the pranks they could pull!

"I am so glad you agree" Nova told replied after Shadow said that double-teaming would be extremely fun. Finally! Someone who shared her interests, or some of them anyway. Having two people also meant that they would be able to pull off bigger, or more complex, pranks. Nova loved the thought of that. She was usually very 'in the moment' when it came to pulling a prank on people, but when she actually took the time to actually plan something out? Oh, it would be glorious! And the best part was that they could have fun both before and, most assuredly, after the prank.

It was refreshing to meet someone whom she could share these pranks with, someone who actually enjoyed them. Of course, Nova didn't usually share her pranks with others either. There had only ever been one person whom she actually told her powers to as well. Normally she would just let someone guess, or give them a vague description. Nova had to really trust a person to tell them exactly what she could do. No one had ever guessed correctly from her simply showing them though; they just got that she could, seemingly, make things disappear and reappear at will.

Nova grinned not only at her work, but at Shadow's reaction to the prank. It was nice to be able to share this with someone who appreciated her type of fun. "I thank you." She said, bowing in her seat as best she could. A large grin was visible upon her features; obviously the female was pleased with herself and the final result and Shadow's compliment had only served to make her happier. "Well, thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the show."

Nova didn't feel bad for leaving the man like that. She was not fond of people like him; those who thought they were 'all that.' In fact, his type annoyed her greatly. She would, sometimes, return the object to its original state after a moment. Doing so only confused her victims more, but at least they had what they wanted back. Most then brushed it off as their eyes playing tricks on them, or some such thing, and attributed it to lack of sleep, alcohol, whatever. Mister Cool would not be so fortunate though. He would be left with the wig and all of the wonder and confusion that came with it.

Nova grinned back after hearing Shadow's words. She was always up for a challenge, and that's what this sounded like to her—a challenge. "I think this will be the easiest test I've ever taken then." Nova said with a chuckle. She couldn't actually remember the last time she had taken a test...if she ever had that is. Double-teaming to play a prank on someone though? This would be way to easy. Bright blue orbs scanned the room once more at Shadow's inquiry. "I see a few, actually. It just depends on what kind of prank we want to pull." She responded after a moment, eyes lit with excitement.

Shadow glanced back towards Nova when the other woman said that she was glad Shadow agreed with her, forcing herself not to chuckle. It was funny, really, how alike the two of them seemed to be. Well, in a way, at least. They shared the love of annoying people. Beyond that, Shadow wasn't sure if they had anything else in common, but did it really matter? All it took was one thing in common and two people could become friends.

Shadow blinked as that thought popped into her head, wondering where that had came from. Shadow wasn't the type to have 'friends'. Actually, she'd never had a friend. The only person Shadow had ever gotten close to, was her mother. And even then, the two of them had butted heads time and time again. Shadow had always been too standoffish, too reserved, and just always moving too much, to ever be able to make a friend during her old life. Her life before she became 'Shadow'. And after she'd became 'Shadow' and found herself trapped in this life, she hadn't really cared enough to bother making a friend.

Why should she? There were too many annoying people, too many submissive people that would cower and hide and not someone Shadow could stand to be around. Plus, there was also the big thing that why should Shadow bother to become friends with someone, when it was inevitable that one or both of them would be sent off somewhere else and never see each other again. That would be harder than just being lonely, losing a friend. Especially losing a friend to a bad place, where Shadow would constantly worry about said friend but be unable to help. That went against Shadow's nature. Her species was suppose to be able to do things like that. Not being able to would drive Shadow up the wall. Well, more than this life usually did in general.

But, Nova. . . Shadow could see a possibility in them becoming friends. And who knew? Maybe they would both consider to reside at the castle for a long time? Shadow probably would, because she didn't plan on letting anyone else 'claim' her. No, the next person that tried to do that. . . well, Shadow would make their life a living hell and make them not want to be anywhere around her. However, mostly it would just depend on whether she got herself kicked out of the castle. Eh, Shadow would cross that bridge when and if she came to it. It wasn't like it would be anything new to her, after all.

Shaking her head a little to clear her thoughts, she tuned back in to the present as Nova thanked her, giving a bow. That earned a small chuckle from Shadow, as Nova said that she was glad Shadow had enjoyed the show. "Well, I do always enjoy bugging people," she responded, giving a light shrug of her shoulders. Shadow found it odd that she was having to work at keeping a smirk from appearing on her face. That was highly unlike her; she never smiled. Even though she didn't think the woman would say anything about, since Nova was smiling herself, Shadow still wasn't the type to let. . . well, anyone see her smiling. It just wasn't her.

Nova went on to say that she thought this would be the easiest test she's ever taken, and Shadow bit back a chuckle. It would be a fun test, after all. Not like the tests her mother used to put her through. Shadow instantly dismissed the thought, silently scolding herself. "No more thinking about that woman," she silently scolded. Instead, she focused her attention back on Nova, as the other woman said that she saw a few possible victims, it just depended on what kind of prank they wanted to pull. Shadow nodded her head a little at that, scanning the room herself and chewing on the inside of her cheek as she considered the options. There were so many. . . and Shadow wanted it to be a good one.

After a moment or two, an idea clicked in her head. "Why pick just one?" she asked, turning her head back towards Nova. A mischevious glint appearing in her eyes as she suddenly got a very devious idea. She nodded her head across the bar, at a booth in the back, where a group of four people sat. The group of people were talking among themselves, but Shadow noticed them pointing out some other people in the den and bar and appeared to be making fun of them. She also noticed them being rather rude to the waitress that brought their meal over.

Hmm. . . who better to pick on?

"They seem like they'd be the perfect ones to pull a prank on," she mused quietly. Now, came the question of; what prank did they pull? There were so many options. . . "I think," Shadow began, lowering her voice so that only her new partner in crime could hear her. "I think I know what I want to do with them. Watch this," Shadow said, the mischevious glint turning more devious. She waved her fingers at the table, an almost unnoticeable gesture. Suddenly, their table became completely encased in a thick sheet of ice. The group didn't notice at first, until one of the two women went to sit her drink down. . . and the drink slid across the ice, and slipped onto one of the two men's laps.

The man let out a yelp, and jumped up from the booth, causing Shadow to chuckle. The other three jumped up from the table as well, looking both annoyed and curious at the ice table. Shadow waited for the perfect moment, and soon got it. One of the woman leaned over towards the table, and held her hand out, as if to poke at the ice. Shadow waited until the woman's hand was just a few inches away from the table, and then waved her fingers again. This time, however, causing a fire to suddenly shoot up from directly in the middle of the table, and going several inches into the air. The woman let out a loud yelp and yanked her hand back. When she jerked away from the table, she also tripped over her own feet and fell into the man standing beside, taking them both to the ground. Waving her fingers again, the sudden fire disappeared without a trace, as well as the ice that had encased the table was now gone as if it had never been there.

Chuckling, Shadow glanced towards Nova, gesturing her hand towards her. "Your turn," she said, curious what Nova would do for her end of the prank.

    ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇WANNA PLAY WITH ME?
    ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇

xxxHe liked to hand out in the bar, mostly because no one said anything to him there. He was used to weird looks and people asking him things and coming up to him, he'd been here a long time, but he was very good at scaring them away. He'd sit at the bar, the bartender would sometimes give him something clear but burned as it went down. He didn't like those, but he liked the funny feeling he felt after one and after three he slept better then he'd ever done in his life. He liked the den mostly because it was darker and if he wanted to whisper to himself he could. No one wanted to approach him there, at least they hadn't yet.

xxxHe wouldn't say that he was lonely, but that was only because he wasn't really sure what that felt like. He sighed and slipped under one of the billiards tables. He had a bear with him that he liked to set up places, mostly because he liked to watch people get hurt when trying to pick it up. He'd stuffed the bear with needles not sure if it was because he liked to stab the fluffy bear or if h liked to collect the sharp needles, either way, he dragged it around by the ear and left it laying around. Often times he was referred to as a child and he allowed people to assume whatever they like. He was laying on his stomach legs kicking in the air brushing against the bottom on the table as he fiddled with the bear. He didn't want to go back to the room. The ladies there liked to touch his tattoos and piercings and he had once liked the attention but he didn't want them to touch him anymore.

Xander's wanderings finally brought him somewhere that seemed to at least fit his tastes. He had been here for all of a day but had yet to find something which actually interested him. By his standards, that was bad. Xander liked to be kept entertained after all, that was the whole reason he was here...well, that and needing a place to hideout for the time being. Honestly, if it weren't for those stupid cameras and the cowardly guards he would still be living a care free life right now. Ah well, he would get used to this...maybe.

His first priority was the bar, hopefully a good drink could help his outlook on this situation—though he sort of doubted it would. He had been in and out of bars since leaving the orphanage, and even before that he was sometimes able to nick a bottle off one of the staff. First thing he had noticed was that he hardly, if ever, got drunk. It took a lot for him to even get a little tipsy. The nice thing was, no one knew that. So, he could cause a ruckus and they would blame it on the alcohol in his system. It was great.

There was one thing the liquor did do to help him though; it could dull his senses, which meant he didn't need to focus so much on blocking things out. As he approached the bar those dark gold eyes became fixated on the bartender, a sly smile spreading across his lips. Xander had already decided he wanted something strong, so that was what he told the bartender after taking a seat. What he was given didn't really matter to Xander at the moment.

Drink in hand, the male let his gaze wander around the room for something, anything, that might interest him. Unfortunately, most of the current patrons seemed to be female. Xander wasn't in the mood to deal with any of them at the moment. Women usually put the most strain on him where his empathy was concerned, and they were chatterboxes too. Even on a good day, Xander wasn't likely to approach a woman unless he wanted her to do something for him.

One dark brow arched in curiosity as he caught sight of a person disappearing under one of the billiards tables. How strange... Maybe this one would be able to keep him entertained for a few minutes.
'Here's to hoping...' Xander thought as he downed the remainder of his drink then stood and walked over to whomever had crawled under there. He collapsed gracefully into a sitting position once he was nearby. Those dark golden eyes easily located their prey and Xander allowed a smile to flit across his lips. "Whatcha doin' there boy?" He inquired, letting his speech slur just a bit so he would sound tipsy. "'Fraid the monsters are gunna get ya?"

xxxJace was not fond of drunks, though admittedly he was fond of being drunk. He scrunched his nose up at the other as he plopped down beside him, but he turned his attention to his bear and focused on that, but the man made it very clear that he was not going to be ignored so Jace sighed heavily and cast his eyes towards the other. He set him with a withering look and then turned back to his bear, but he felt egged on by the next words and he growled lowly.

"Everyone knows the monsters are in the garden."He shot back with a roll of his eyes as if that statement was common fact.

xxxHe rolled out from under the table and over the other, pressing his palms flat against the boys shoulders and pressing their faces close. He had a bad habit of getting to close to people, and getting over excited about simple things.

"But I didn't tell you that. Only I can see them, and only I know the path to get there, it goes blue green red red blue."He replied pointedly. "Don't you even try to go there or the monsters will eat you up. They like to eat yellow eyes and brown hair."He explained rolling off the other and standing to his full height, leaving the bear under the table, no longer interested in it.

Since Xander was only pretending to be intoxicated, it was quite obvious to him that this dark-haired man did not wish to entertain a drunk. That did not cause Xander to kill his act though. It had been a somewhat expected response, most people did not like to put up with one who, clearly, could not hold their liquor—unless said people also happened to be drunk... Seeing as he had actually come over here to attempt some sort of interaction with the other male, Xander would not allow himself to be ignored so easily.

He grinned widely as Jace looked over to him, appearing every bit the shameless drunk he was pretending to be. It was not until Jace turned from him once more that Xander bothered to look and see what the male kept turning his attention to. It was...a stuffed bear, how curious. The male was, quite obviously, a grown man afterall. From the looks of it he was close to Xander's age too, which begged the question: Why was he carrying around a child's toy?

'Ah, there we go!' Xander thought to himself as he heard the other emit a low growl. It was a potentially dangerous response to receive, but certainly better than being ignored in Xander's mind. Whether the wound was a result of anger or irritation, perhaps even both, the man thought he was well enough prepared to deal with the repercussions of his actions. He did find it curios that the boy growled right after he had mentioned monsters though.

Jace's response was somewhat surprising, but not entirely unexpected.
'Monsters in the garden?' Was this guy for real? He certainly seemed sure of that last statement, which led Xander to wondering about the other's mental stability. Maybe this would make things more interesting... He did not have long to wonder about such things for Jace's next actions took him by surprise.

Golden eyes narrowed when the boy pressed his palms against Xander's shoulders and got right into his face. Xander was fond of his personal space—a term which Jace did not seem to understand. He was not given a chance to voice this before the dark-haired male spoke once more. Jace's statement did nothing to better the Xander's views on the other's sanity. In fact, they practically screamed 'psych ward patient.' Not that he was one to judge, Xander could seem pretty mental at times too—he just tried not to be when others were around.

He grinned widely at Jace, head tilted up to look the other man in the eyes.
"Worried 'bout me are ya? What a sweet little boy." His tone was somewhat teasing as he said this, but still slightly slurred. From the corner of his eye Xander saw that the stuffed bear was still resting underneath the billiards table. It wasn't his problem if the guy forgot it though. The man used the edge of the table to pull himself to his feet.

Sierra, came along the carpet, leading into the den that looked to be a place of relaxation. Escorting his two newly acquired servants, she took them to the bar, thinking that it might be nice to get them a snack, while she unwinds, and gets to know their skills better.

"Care to tell me of the full extent of your abilities," she inquired, wanting them to offer up what they could do, while she tried to flag down the bartender.

Yuki spoke up almost immediately. "I have enhanced hearing and sense of smell in both of my forms, in this form I have strong, retractable fangs and claws, and of course, I have the form of a large white wolf", she spat out the last part of her sentence with just a little resentment.
