It was a refreshing sound to hear after what they’d all been through. Wrung through the emotion train wreck from the last few days it was music to ones ears. The girls giggle had Tae glancing down with a small grin that faded slightly with her words. She did have a point though. Though, a good enough partner for me, Tae thought a smile bringing back up her lips. Taking in a slow breath she glanced around as they stopped. Her gaze moved back to Ellale upon feeling her hand inside hers as they now faced each other. She might have asked who was going to lead had Ellale not already taken the lead in starting them off. Indeed it was weird, strange, and almost ironic in a way that they were here. So many things that had lead them to this moment. Her thoughts went back to her accident. It probably all started there for her. Had she not had that she might not have taken the steps towards becoming a SeeD Operative. Though, when all was said and done she wouldn’t have wanted to change it for the worlds. If Tae had known she’d have moved heaven and earth in search of Ellale. Life now she couldn’t have seen herself away from her friend, the person she cared for dearly and had woven herself within her heart. To have thought that one of them might not have made it back alive tightened something within Tae. “Yes. It is a bit strange to think of all the things we’ve been through separate and together that has brought us to this moment here.” She glanced down at Ellale a soft smile resting upon her lips. Tae pulled Ellale slightly closer but still able to comfortably dance. “And I can’t really say I’d change any of them.” No, each moment was precious to her. No one could ruin this moment not even if her brother showed up again. Tae tried not to think about him or what he was doing with that other boy, but when they were resting she hadn’t seen him at all. She was almost afraid to wonder where he was period. ღ OOC: ღ

This was good. Ellale could feel her body tolerating her movement as she swayed with Tae, moving slowly with the music, trying to not trip over her own feet. Tae seemed to be willing to let Ellale lead, not that Ellale was very sure of her steps either, or how long she'd lead before she'd hurt herself. To her surprise, Tae pulled her closer, getting Ellale to look down slightly, feeling a faint heat rise to her cheeks. She was happy though, even if embarrassed. And so the pair danced, Tae's words ringing in her ears. It made her happy, really it made her about as happy as she could be. It was like when she'd awoken to find her brother home from having been gone so long with almost no word. She'd been so happy she couldn't even put it into words. In fact, just like that time... Ellale closed her eyes tight and looked down. 'No, no no no.' She thought trying to ring her emotions under control. For a moment, she thought she might start crying out of joy, but she managed to push back the feeling quickly before it got too strong. She didn't want Tae to think she was hurting because she was crying.
"Tae... What do you dream of doing with your life?" Ellale asked softly, looking up at Tae and opening her yellow eyes to focus on Tae. Whatever tears had almost sprung to her eyes moments before were gone as she smiled, waiting for an answer. For a moment, Ellale actually judged their height different on her head as she watched Tae. For a moment, just a moment, she wished she were slightly taller. Just a bit. It was a minor thought, one that escaped her in the next moment, but a thought none the less. She tilted her head curiously at Tae as she waited for her friends answer. Well, friend probably didn't fully describe what Tae was to her, but for now.... this would do. Dancing with her, enjoying the night. What would come next could wait. Live for the moment, right? She could do that. She could slowly feel pain starting to creep up inside her as they continued to dance though. They would need to stop sometime soon and it had only been a song, two if Ellale had gotten distracted in her thoughts and talking to Tae. It didn't matter though. Time could make as little sense as it wanted. She wouldn't mind.

A thoughtful expression crossed her face as she glanced away giving it some thought. What did she dream of doing with her life? It was a very good question, one that she wasn't sure she knew the answer to. It had, for the last few years now, to become a SeeD operative. Now that she was one she hadn't come up with a new dream. Besides being the best SeeD she could be. "Hmm..." Tae hummed for a moment still thinking on it. “Well, my dream was to become a SeeD operative and be the best that I could. Now that I am one I haven't had enough time to really think of a new one dream of what I want to do. I suppose after I'm done being an operative maybe some day settle down with someone. I'm sure if the job doesn't...” She trailed off as she glazed down at Ellale, “There has to be some sort of retirement plan for older SeeD's who can't do the job any longer.” She paused again unsure if she wanted to tell her friend it or not. The longer she hesitated the unlikely it was that she was going to say anything about it just yet. "What about you, Kitten?"ღ OOC: ღ

It wasn't like Ellale expected Tae to just take her question in a leap and bound and answer right away. Instead, she watched, patiently waiting for her friend to respond. Silence met her as she waited, still attempting to clumsily dance. Eventually, Tae seemed to have a thought cross her expression and she spoke. Her words were simple, but they covered all Ellale really needed to know. She thought she understood what Tae was talking about, even unspoken words. 'If the job doesn't kill you.' she thought, her expression soft. Eventually, the conversation shifted, Tae asking Ellale what she wanted to do. Ellale didn't have to think to come up with an answer, but there was no way she'd say it aloud. Instead, she thought of something else. What could she want and dream for? She pondered for a while before smiling. "I want to leave here someday. I want to travel and see everything I can. I know that's what we usually do as SeeD, but I don't want to go to fight. I just want to see the world in it's peaceful ways. And then I want to find a place to call home. I don't mind where it's at, just someplace that is home for me, away from here."
Why had she become a SeeD if her desire was to get away from here? Just looking at her green hair and yellow eyes should have been enough. Her brother was an instructor and he'd been away for most of her life. It had just happened that she'd had a talent to build things and that she could use it to be a SeeD. Someday though, she knew, Kalay wouldn't be a SeeD. He might die, in fact that was most likely. She knew that, which was one reason she wanted to spent as much time as close to him as she could, so when he was gone she could remember him vividly. He'd done so much for her and her mother, it was the least she could do for him. And she was happy she'd come. The people she'd met, the people she'd grown close to, made this worth every moment. It didn't matter that she was all beat up now because she'd had done so much with all of them already.
"Ah..." Ellale let out a faint gasp as her hand released Tae's and dropped to her stomach, Ellale wincing as she did so. "O-okay. All done." She breathed out, giving Tae a rather apologetic smile. She had had her fun, and now she needed to rest. 'You can keep dancing with another partner. I'm going to go find a place to sit." Ellale said with a smile, releasing Tae and stepping back. Tae had no reason to stop just because Ellale had to, so Ellale didn't want to make her stop. Surely there were other people she'd like to dance with.

Then she saw the cold look in his eyes and knew that he’d understood. He wasn’t any happier about this than she was. She bit her lip, looking down at Carbuncle who also seemed to share their feelings. She could almost sense the disapproval coming from the little GF in her lap. Martyrs…yes, Kalay was right about that. Not that it made Lis feel any better about it.
She sighed and then blinked up at Kalay as he patted her head, before following his gaze to Sou Ho. She wasn’t surprised to hear Kalay point out that Ellale was in no state to go on the mission…of course he’d try to protect his sister. Which made Lis wonder….what Salem would do if he knew? Would he try to stop her from going? She couldn’t tell him about the mission, but neither could she leave and never return without him at least knowing why. Lis followed Sou Ho with her eyes as he got up and went over to the window, then shook her head at his words. There was no backing out now. All of them knew that so there was no point in Sou Ho even saying it. Perhaps she should have been angry that he’d basically left them no choice, yet somehow she couldn’t blame him. As much as he tried to take responsibility on himself as a leader she knew it was the higher ups pulling the strings for this.
However when Sou Ho stated that the lives of the other operatives were more important than fulfilling the mission Lisanna genuinely smiled at him. His expression was conflicted so she knew this was something he’d decided by himself, and she wholeheartedly agreed with his decision. ”Understood.” She nodded and gently placed Carbuncle on the ground as he dismissed her and Kalay, before standing up to leave. ”Thank you, Sir, I will.” She said quietly, taking Kalay’s arm and pulling him with her as she left the room. Once they were outside she turned to face him. ”So, uhm…how about that dance?” Lis said hopefully, letting go of his arm and playing with the rose she was still holding.
She didn’t want to talk about what had just transpired in the office, which was forbidden anyway considering the nature of what had been discussed. Instead all she wanted to do was exactly what Sou Ho had said…enjoy what could possibly be her last night alive.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Varitas Durentis Level: 15 Health: Calm Magic: N/A Status: Diffused =========================================== Kelsier Nebulous, a name which Varitas wouldn't soon forget. The man's instantaneous actions regarding the aid offered in good faith made certain the Galbadian SeeDs assertions that this was an organization of means and honor. He watched the man who was rather clearly working too hard to get a dance from the poor lady, a tactic which Varitas neither diapproved of nor condoned. He watched the man with nothing other than the eyes of an observer, taking in the very casual way the man moved, but noticing the man left no viable openings as he walked. He could respect his skill, and the fact that he didn't broadcast that fact to the world made him realize the man might well be dangerous. However as can always be the case Varitas realized he could be giving the man too much credit, yet to be sent alone into the wastes with valuables he hoped his assessment hadn't been inaccurate. Varitas remained rather stoic after excusing himself from the Headmaster's presence. His teporary guide not really inspiring any particular desire for conversation. As far as Varitas was concerned the quicker he got this mission over with the quicker he could get support for his true comrades. Not even after being referred to as "Shaggy." Further when the man commented on how man was more dangerous than monster, Varitas decided to share some good advice. "Remember that when you're on your way to my people. The bandits are as prolific as the monsters when you have valuables." After that, he gave the man a nod and expected him to leave. Indeed afterwards he would simply stand and await further instructions.

Timber? Talk about way back. But it still seemed recent enough that she should remember him, if he expected her to. But before the trip down memory lane could continue, in came Everett the Elder. Just after Nona answered her, Laytos turned out to be right behind, Carbuncle in hot pursuit. Convenient, for sure. Lisanna shot Nona a look for her comment, and the girl found herself smirking. She was back in her comfort zone all of a sudden; it was so much easier dealing with something like an elder being annoyed with her than some guy being...well, it was easier. Lisanna took over for Nona on the part of supporting Salem and dismissed her quite readily, an invitation Nona was all too happy to oblige.
”Oh, I don’t know; I think I’ll see him again soon,” she answered Lisanna, more comfortable with the topic when she was able to instigate. ”I’ve got to bring back your violin,” she reminded the boy, since he didn’t seem up to moving much on his own, and his big sister had business elsewhere. She headed for the doors and addressed the two instructors over her shoulder. ”Nebulous wants to see you both in the headmaster’s office; sounds important. See you soon, Salem,” she added in a mock flirt, since Lisanna had at last let her hear the boy’s name, before she slipped out through the doors and into the ballroom. She might regret egging people on later, but she needed it tonight.
Back in the dance hall. Things had settled down, and people were actually dancing now. Thankfully neither of the young men had bled on the floor. Nona wandered around the perimeter of the room, keeping an eye out for her targets. On the way, she found the chair where Vicaria had stashed the violin case. She slung Vicaria’s jacket over her shoulder and the case along with it. The instructors were taken care of, and so was the surprisingly volatile young man. Turning back to the dance floor, she caught a surprising sight. It was Limmari...dancing with Laytos the Younger. Odd, but they looked pleased enough with it. She almost felt guilty interrupting, but she had a job to do.
Nona waited for them to migrate near the edge of the dance floor before heading over. ”Nebulous needs all of us in the headmaster’s office,” she told them concisely. Before departing, she paused to inquire ”Either of you see where Nipal or Vinginshy went?” Directed toward one of the balconies, she separated from them and tracked the pair down. They were sharing a quiet moment, it seemed, and despite her disdain for one half of the couple, she decided not to take a shot at Blondie. ”Headmaster’s office. Nebulous has something important for us,” she repeated in simple terms. Once she was sure she was heard, the girl headed back into the main room. That was everyone.
On the way back toward the office, she found Salem still recovering in the hallway, now alone. She unslung the violin case from her shoulder and handed it over. ”Maybe I’ll see you around after the meeting...Hope you can walk by then,” she added the last part without meaning to sound as rude as she thought it did. The damage was done though, and she did her best to shrug it off. She departed after modest good-byes and made her way back to the office. Three figures there, including a sulking Riyel. She didn’t feel comfortable discussing anything at the moment, but on the way past, she stopped and offered up his jacket. She wasn’t sure what her face said, but she didn’t try to come across as hostile or disappointed. Maybe she should have said something, but she didn’t know what.
Nona settled for handing over the jacket before heading back into the office. Sou-Ho was there alone now. Again, the silence felt uncomfortable, but unless addressed she simply settled into one of the chairs opposite the headmaster’s desk.

Salem Everett Level: ?? Health: Doing Better... Magic: Musical Status: Professional Location: Where He Was Hired To Be ____________________________________________________
Allowed some time to rest in a seat, Salem essentially stayed out of the interactions once Lisanna had begun to have her say and express how upset she was at tonight's events. Almost even sounding hostile towards Nona, though whether or not that was purposeful would be left a question in the air that needn't be answered. But still, leaning back a bit and gaining a few breaths to help his recovery along, couldn't help but to be amused by the back and forth, before watching Lisanna stomp off in a huff to demand justice? He really wasn't sure, sort of was focused on that smirk Nona had on her face.
"Look forward to it." He replied to her mock flirt, finally getting a glimpse at her personality since meeting her in the ballroom. Everything else had been rather short and to the point responses to what had been going on around her. Oh but this, but this hinted towards a bit of a fun instigator, though no doubt definite b***h material if attitude out ran the fun of her. Either way, giving the woman a small wave as she slipped out into the ballroom, he let out a little sigh as his head turned in the direction his sister had went. Just enough, unfortunately to catch his attacker step out of the office.
And, perhaps not able to learn a lesson, or just frustrated that he has to hold back, his problem with Riyel was now a full formed thing. Throwing a fist up, with a certain finger extended and his other hand landing on the prior arms bicep, the motion was a clear enough of his opinion on the man. Or, at least that's what would have happened if the man didn't seem defeated already as he stepped out of the room. A low chuckle of satisfaction emitted from Salem as he couldn't deny the enjoyment he took out of the sight.
Soon dropping his head a bit and letting the silence he had scramble by as he finally began to feel confident in that moving wouldn't 'cause him complete agony, Salem took the leap and tried to stand. Ah, sore and uncomfortable was the experience, 'causing him to sit down rather quickly again, luckily not too long before Nona's return. A rather business like encounter as she returned his violin, case and all, allowing him enough time to give her a small smile and wave before she disappeared into the office once again.
Though it seemed things were busy around here now as, well, his sister and her date returned from whatever fiasco Lisanna had planned seeming relatively less... excited. It wasn't hard to see something had happened in there, as Lisanna didn't even bother to say hello to her brother on her exit. Only asking her date about a lost dance thanks to his shenanigans, or at least that's what he presumed as he slowly stood, much to his own dismay.
Maybe his own romantic aspirations of the night had been utterly routed by unpleasant events, but perhaps he could assist in his sisters. Or at least do something to brighten up whatever had darkened her night. Gritting his teeth and dealing with his own problem in a uncharacteristic manner of actually helping someone else, he managed to leave the in between area of the rooms and elevator. Escaping to the ballroom and managing to march straight through the middle, freeing his violin and bow as he did.
Handing the case to one of the other musicians, directing them to set it down to the side to their annoyance, before taking place at the head of the group. Drawing his bow across his strings, his fingers playing a small little mixture as a bit of a warm up to get over the irksome nature of standing right now, Salem stood ready, waiting for his sister and Kalay to take their turn in the ballroom. His mind going through what he knew to find a special little something for them.

Kalay didn't show any real reaction to Sou-ho's words. They might as well have been empty. "None of you would be going on this mission." Kalay knew Sou-ho to do what he thought needed to be done, and if that meant dragging them all to hell, Kalay wondered if he really would hesitate. Of course, Sou-ho may have given a sign that he really, truly, didn't want to bring anyone else into this. His words on doing what he could for Ellale made Kalay hesitate in his assumption of just how honor bound Sou-ho was to his mission. Of course, Kalay also didn't react to Sou-ho's strange gaze that shifted to Kalay. Anger, jealousy, envy. It didn't matter, none of it made much a difference to Kalay at this point, nor would it ever have. Sou-ho and Kalay could barely see eye to eye as it were, so understanding Sou-ho's emotions were out of the question on Kalay. And then, the oddest think Sou-ho had said of the night. They didn't have to go on the mission. Kalay frowned, visibly, before glancing down at Lisanna. They couldn't very well back out, not now. Kalay certainly couldn't knowing what they were up against.
Kalay didn't have to say anything. They all knew they were going on that mission. Kalay knew full well that if they did indeed, miraculously, complete the mission, they were all dead. That was it. And then, Sou-ho said something that completely broke Kalay's mold of the man. Kalay's reaction didn't show it, but he was surprised, and Sou-ho appeared conflicted about his decision as he turned to face them. For a faint trim of a second, it almost looked like the edge of Kalay's mouth shifted up in a smirk, but if it had ever been there, it wasn't in the next second. 'He's different in a position like this.' Carbuncle's words echoed in Kalay's head. Who wouldn't be different? They were SeeD, but they were still people. This wasn't a situation people could just accept as fact. "Understood. We might as well die doing something useful." The second sentence was whispered faintly, Kalay basically thinking aloud to himself before he straightened up and watched Sou-ho a show of respect if Kalay had ever given one.
Carbuncle was gone in a moment, in fact as soon as Lisanna set him down, his disappeared in a faint flash. Kalay didn't even look, his eyes stayed trained on the back of Sou-ho as the man stared at the window. 'I wonder...' Kalay thought softly, but cut off his thoughts as Lisanna took his arm and pulled him after her, out of the room. Kalay didn't show any real reaction as they left, his stance once again returning to relaxed, and his expression looking bored as they got outside the door. He had made amendments to his impression of Sou-ho. Perhaps the man was more than just a soldier. He, like Kalay, seemed to care for the young operatives more than he originally seemed to let on. That was good. It was a common point for the two. Perhaps one day they wouldn't have such a wall between them, where one could not fully understand the other. It was hard to say if Kalay would even bother to put for the the effort though to see.
Kalay blinked at the sudden question as soon as they were outside the office. His eyes looked down to Lisanna for a moment before he gave a faint smile. "Sure, why not." He responded, patting her head, not unlike one would a child, before pulling his hands into his pockets and starting away, giving Lisanna long enough to pull her arm around his if she wanted before he went. The young man silently led his partner back into the ballroom, taking the moment to glance around and see who was still about, before turning to face Lisanna as he walked backwards a few steps, holding his hand out for her. "Might as well enjoy the evening, huh?" He said, his voice betraying his calm expression. He wasn't exactly happy, and judging by the tense tone of voice, he was being a bit sarcastic in his words. She probably couldn't blame him, and she herself probably needed a moment as well. At least with this, they could take the moment to dance and forget about their troubles.

A smile rose on her lips at the thought. That did sound rather nice. "Home..." Tae murmured quietly. A place like that did sound lovely. Yes, she had her two very loving parents who barely gave her enough breathing room after the accident. She also had her cold brother, one that was, or had been, here tonight. The place that they shared for years seemed warmed and happy for the most part but something always seemed off. She couldn't really place it. It was almost as if her parents knew something she didn't and was preparing something for her. Mentally shaking that off she gazed at her partner as she continued to listen to her. Concern instantly clouded her eyes upon the gasp as Ellale released their joined hand to touch her stomach. “Okay...” She watched Ellale take a few steps away before her eyes glanced about the room. During their dance she'd spotted Lloyd and Sophia heading towards one of the balconies. A voice drew her head in the other direction though. It was Nona. It seemed like the young woman was bringing everyone together for a meeting. But why? The ball was still going on. Clearly it must have been something important enough to drag everyone away from the ball. Well, not everyone but some of the new operates. Pointing Nona towards Lloyd and Sophia she walked up to Ellale side sliding her hand into the other girls hand. To be honest she was glad that Nona had come up when she did. Tae didn't really want to dance with anyone else there. And those that she would be okay with dancing with weren't there so it made no sense for her to try and find some random person to dance with. A soft smile still rested on her lips as she walked with Ellale to the headmaster's office. “I wonder if he would mind if I took something to drink inside.” The words might have seemed almost random but she was thirsty and it was something to keep her mind from wandering to worse things that could be the reason for calling them all to the office. Her eyes caught sight of Salem and then Kalay and Lis as they headed back to the ball. Riyel was still standing outside the office, not that she knew how long he'd been standing there, and Nona just stepped inside the office. She moves quickly. Tae thought silently. ღ OOC: ღ

He’d vanished before she and Kalay had even reached the door, and when they were outside in the hallway he was nowhere in sight. How strange…and slightly concerning. Kalay had followed her compliantly enough but she could tell he was also distracted with his own thoughts as he blinked at her before answering her question. She smiled faintly in return whilst he patted her head, then he started off down the hallway. Lis stared after him thoughtfully for a second before following, paying no attention to Riyel or Nona. Though when she saw Ellale and Tae heading towards the headmasters office she gave them a friendly smile that was slightly tinged with sadness from knowing what they were about to hear from Sou Ho. Would Ellale agree to stay behind? Somehow Lis doubted it. No matter how injured she was it was unlikely she’d let her brother and friends go off on a dangerous mission without her. Speaking of siblings, she had expected to see Salem still sitting in the hallway but he seemed to have vanished. His chair was mysteriously empty as the couple passed, which of course got Lis to wondering where he’d disappeared off to. Well, at least he was probably okay enough to walk now. She just hoped he hadn’t left the ball…she wanted a chance to at least say goodbye to him.
The chatter and general merriment of the guests became louder as she and Kalay entered the main room again. Like her green haired companion she was also looking around to see who was still present when he turned to face her on the dance floor, holding out his hand. He looked calm as usual but when he spoke there was a sarcastic bite to his words, his tone revealing his true feelings. Lisanna blinked, looking unsure. Perhaps he was just bitter about what they’d been told by Sou Ho, but to her it sounded almost like he didn’t really want to dance. Like there was no point in trying to enjoy the rest of the evening. She nervously took Kalay’s hand, still holding the rose in her other one as she rested it on his shoulder and stepped closer. ”I-If you don’t r-really want to, uhm, I understand…” She said hesitantly, her expression trepid as she looked up at him. A familiar face caught her attention though and Lis was momentarily distracted, relieved to see Salem standing with the other musicians, holding his violin. She smiled faintly and nodded to him before returning her attention to the man in front of her. The white haired girl waited patiently for him to either start leading her in a dance or walk away if he really didn’t feel like he could enjoy himself with her. Lis had been to functions like this before so she knew perfectly well how to dance, though whether she was any good or not was left for her partner to determine. She thought she was a passable dancer, at least. She had no idea how good a dancer Kalay was but it didn’t really matter. It was just nice to be here sharing a dance with him. ”You know, ah…there’s no one else I’d rather be here with tonight.” She smiled and looked down shyly, her cheeks burning a little.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The doors were still open, so he did not visibly relax, but he took a moment to let himself mentally rest, if only for a second. And being Sou-Ho, even when in need of a rest the thought of simply waiting for Nona to return with the rest of the operatives made him restless. Going to a table to the side of the room, Sou-Ho quickly cleared up the split milk, moping it up with a cloth. When he finished he set to work on brewing a pot a tea, utilizing what appeared to be a personal office tea maker. And while the tea brewed, he went around the room to meticulously straighten anything that he had missed in his initial sweep of the room.
'It doesn't look like they came in through the window.' Sou-Ho thought, checking around the area for any scrape or suction marks that might indicate the use of tools in scaling the height. If they had approached from the air they would have risked being seen, which left the third approach option of... 'A guest.' Meaning someone here in the Ball had been the one to infiltrate the office. That alone would considerably lower the number of suspects, and with the use of security surveillance Sou-Ho could probably spot the suspect or at least deduce their identity. 'First things first.' He told himself, putting aside identifying the infiltrator for now. The tea was finished brewing, as was indicated by a soft whistling sound produced by the machine, and Nona had arrived.
"I take it you found everyone I requested." He stated, surprising himself in thinking that he wouldn't have expected any less of her. "And you returned with excellent timing," He added, turning to the machine and tending to it as he poured a cup of tea. Having just finished the meeting with Kalay and Lisanna, it really was good timing that she had arrived. Though now that he had finished informing them of their mission, it would be time to reveal to the operatives just what he had in mind for them. "I just finished brewing tea, may I offer you a cup?" Sou-Ho asked, standing ready at the tea maker while he waited for her response.
If she declined he would nod, respectful of her wishes, before taking his own cup and seating himself again at the desk, blowing on the liquids within the cup before taking a sip and letting the silence resume in the room while the two waited for the others to arrive.
If she accepted, a hint of a smile would play out across Sou-Ho's face before he turned away again, preparing a second cup for the red-haired woman, making it like his own unless she gave any specifications for how she took it. Finishing, he turned back to her again, walking around the desk to bring her cup of tea to her. Unlike the tea maker, which was clearly quite modern and, the cup and plate it sat upon looked to be antiques, and probably were. It had been a relief to Sou-Ho to see that the set which was placed on the table had not been damaged. They were only objects, but they had belonged to the family for some time. And as a child, Sou-Ho had been oddly fascinated by them and the intricate designs that made up the appearance of the cups and tea pot, which sat to the side as a mere decoration.
"Pardon me if it is not to your tastes. I have others leaves, but I have always been particular fond of this specific blend." He said, again that hint of a smile playing again, this one lasting long enough to show the nostalgia it held. Holding the cup out for Nona to take, something dark and blue peeked out from beneath the sleeve of his left arm, something that appeared to be tattooed on his forearm.

It sounded for a moment like Tae liked the thought of a home, but of course Ellale couldn't read thoughts so she had no idea what Tae thought of at the term of home. Either way, their dance had come to an end as Ellale had shown a faint sign of pain. Ellale seemed fine in expression though as watched Tae's gaze look out to one of the balcony's. Before Ellale could say anything though, None had arrived, asking them to go to the headmasters office. Quick enough, Nona was on her way and Tae took Ellale's hand, moving to walk. Ellale fell into step with her, watching Nona go before hearing Tae's question. Ellale took a moment to think about it before giving what might have been a giggle. "I think it'll be fine." She responded, motioning for Tae to go get something to drink. As she did, Ellale took notice of her brother going back into the ballroom with Lis, Ellale wondering for a moment what might have been on his mind given the strange look in his eyes, but he was gone long before she could double check if anything was wrong.
With Tae's return, the pair made their way to the office, Ellale giving Riyel a little wave while taken note of the strange man nearby, then entering just as Sou-ho asked Nona about tea. Ellale looked around for a moment, taking in the room she had been in just earlier that day, before pulling Tae after her, perhaps the first sign of strength Ellale had really showed, to a chair. With a faint huff, Ellale sat down, holding her stomach gently, but after a moment her hand dropped to her side and she smiled at Tae, essentially inviting Tae to sit next to her, given that she made room for her friend. With this finally done, curious eyes turned upon Sou-ho, Ellale uncertain of why they were called to the office, let alone what their little chance meeting might entail.┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉ Magic

Even if I can't win against anyone, I won't lose to myself. But for sure, my losses will make me grow stronger! Tonight was going well all things considered. Riyel and Lloyd had torn up the dance floor with stylish moves and synced movements. Lloyd's good mood only skyrocketed at the competition with his friend. Though they had not hung out much, Lloyd easily considered Riyel a good friend to be trusted. Then again with someone easy to get along with like Lloyd, you'd have to try awfully hard to get him to dislike you. In all the excitement some sliver haired guy tried to cut in with Riyel's dance. Lloyd blinked in surprise as the fight broke out in record time.
He swept Sophia away from the unfolding match and prepared to go in himself as he pulled up a sleeve, however her delicate hand stopped his advance. With a bit of a sigh, Lloyd coached Riyel from the sidelines. Then came the final blow, an unholy smash to the silver dude's nads. It seemed every male their instinctively winces and turned their bottom halves away. Then, like a phantom, Sou-ho made his move just as Nona reprimanded the two gentlemen. Lloyd was concerned but...guess it was under control. As things started to come under control, the band played a slower song. Lloyd and Sophia glided gracefully across the dance floor and finally the blonde started to understand the feeling that was nagging him about her. Though...maybe it would be best to stay quiet about it.
As cheesy as it might sound, this evening seemed a lot like a dream. He had become a SeeD, Sophia was in his arms, and everything was peaceful. What could be better? He honestly couldn't wipe the warm smile off of his face. With a bit of time, the two moved out onto the balcony and gazed up at the night. Stars laced the darkness like dots of light in a river of wonder. The two talked quietly about the events of the day and even a little about life. However, just as the topic was starting to wander to their feelings someone called for them. Nona informed the two they needed to go to the headmaster's office. Clearly disappointed, Lloyd escorted her to the room to enter and take part of whatever was happening.

”I told them it was important,” Nona confirmed as she crossed her legs, taking in the room from her seat. The instructor had cleaned up the mess, and it now looked much more professional. The fact that he was actually making tea made her want to smirk, but she restrained herself. Tea always struck her as something for old people who had lost too many taste buds. There were supposed to be different kinds, but Nona had never bothered to explore after her first bitter cup. Before she could reflexively turn it down, however, the door opened to admit Ellale and Taeria. Neither of them spoke just yet, but the distraction gave Nona time to consider, and to decide she’d rather indulge the instructor than risk talk cropping up about the incident on the dance floor. Or worse, girl talk. ”Sure,” she replied instead.
In short order, she received a saucer and cup, steaming and fresh. The old tea set probably belonged to his grandfather, she imagined; it seemed odd to pair them with tea made from a machine. Then again, it was sure easier to fit in the office than a stove and kettle. That was not all she took note of, however; something seemed odd about the picture, and she realized it was asymmetrical. Her eyes were drawn to the dark stuff at the end of Sou-Ho’s sleeve; a tattoo, but of what she couldn’t see. He had withdrawn before she could do more than catch a glimpse. Curiosity flickered, but for no reason other than not thinking him the type for ink. She might have asked if not for their company.
She gave it a tentative sniff first, peering at the faintly swirling liquid, before she gave it a puff of breath and picked up the porcelain cup. If Nebulous had not known better, the unexpected image of the young woman might have been better ascribed to nobility in older times. She sat in a fine chair in a well-decorated room, dressed in a stunning gown and sipped tea from an antique set. An illusion of circumstance, certainly, but one that was very much at odds with the brash attitude and furious moments the girl was prone to.
To Nona’s surprise, the stuff wasn’t really bitter at all. Not sweet, maybe, but between the mild taste and aromatic presence...It was sort of soothing. She leaned back in the chair and took a longer drink, wary of the temperature still. ”Huh...Didn’t think any tea tasted like that,” she noted with a look down into the liquid. She sounded pleasantly surprised, and probably more comfortable than she had been all night. "Not bad..." An understatement, maybe, but she took another drink.
