Perception was a crazy thing, especially when dealing with Pokemon many times their normal size. Rather then running out of the Togepi's way, the girl would find she was actually just running into it. She'd been nearest one foot, and was sprinting to the other. Luckily, just as the Giant Pokemon would come through, Riku would find herself in the middle, falling right between the Togepi's stubby legs!

Riku let out the deep breath she had been holding and her face was paler then normal. That had really been an extremely close call. But at least she hadn't been crushed and the pokemon had waddled away. Wiping at her forehead with a sleeve, she brushed off the sweat that had broken out. Okay, she really needed to find the last piece. The look on the girl's face looked a little desperate now. Things were getting far too dangerous and she was taking too long. Running forward, her violet gaze scanned the area quickly trying to spot any other fallen giants or where the last essential piece could be hiding.

Riku stopped, her breath coming in panting gasps. She had ran for a little while but the distance was too much. It seemed like the sandy beach was never ending. But this place was almost as dangerous as the one with the reddish dirt terrain. She did wonder how long she had already been on this mission. The head mechanic might've already given up on the girl and just deemed her as a loss somewhere on the island. Then her Professor would say she was a failure and just another lost student. Riku's eyes widened at that thought, and she continued forward. Now, she really needed to hurry and find the piece and get back.

Okay so rushing didn't help. It hadn't sped up the process of her finding pieces. There was still that immense never ending beach. Slowing to a walk, the girl then continued forward. All that running had made her movements slower and a bit sluggish. She would need to stop and rest soon. But for now, she forced herself to keep going forward. There was no way she could give up just yet. If only she could convince herself that it was just a little further. Once she reached that point, she could just rest for awhile.

With a few more steps, Riku would find herself amidst a mass of purple wreckage. Oddly familiar purple wreckage in fact. Closer inspection would bring the revelation that this was the same Arbok she'd encountered before! Perhaps then it would done on her. The reason why the beach seemingly went on forever!
This was an island, one surrounded by a sandy beach and the ocean on all sides. She'd been running circles around the entire island!
Well, at least she'd found another Fallen Giant. Maybe something had been unearthed by an explosion or a passing Giant since last time...

Riku looked at the pieces of the Arbok and then it finally dawned on her. She had been going in circles the entire time. No wonder everything had seemed like it was never-ending. The girl felt kind of embarrassed that she hadn't noticed at all. She began to rummage through the pieces, slowl and carefully. Maybe she had missed something earlier that could still be here? Or possibly there could've been another giant pokemon that had fallen? Even more unlikely but also possible was some pieces might've dropped from the sky? Either way, she was lucky to have found a fallen giant to look for the last piece on her list. Now if only Arceus would bring her luck..

Arceus it would seem, was long and far away from the girl's side; but once again she would not be leaving empty handed. Laying half propped against the side of the Arbok's head was what appeared to be some sort of switch board or control panel. It wasn't currently hooked up to anything, but it still appeared to be physically operational. It was an Extra-Part much like so many others she'd found previously.

The girl picked up the piece but knew it was an extra and not the one she was seeking almost immediately. Pocketing the list once more, she then pushed herself to her feet. Not looking back, she continued forward. She decided to go through the beach path one more time before trying to find another place to look. Obviously her luck wasn't that good and the pokemon gods weren't really watching over. Of course she was a human so maybe it only worked for pokemon..

Once more the cry of a giant pokemon would split the air, but surprisingly this time the child would not be forced to run...though she would find herself rather promptly knocked off her feet by a large wave. Some distance of a Giant Goldeen was splashing about.

Riku had been tensed, ready to run when she was covered by a shadow. Then she saw the tall wave as the water hit her. Spluttering slightly, she then was glad that it was still sunny out. That way she wouldn't get sick or anything. Well at least a giant pokemon hadn't been out to get her or anything. Relieved, she just continued moving forward. This mission was really taking forever.

"AHOY! Fancy seein ya again lass!" A voice would call, as a familiar grizzled old figure stepped onto the deck of a passing boat. It was the Tugboat Captain and his Barge again. It would seem the girl was in luck!

Riku smiled broadly. Luck finally seemed to be shining upon her as she might be able to find this last piece. She held up her list and then pointed to the last one on her list asking if he had it. Also stating that she wanted to trade two pieces for two random items.

After Riku had thrown over her half of the deal, the Captain would do a mighty leap into the barge. Digging around for awhile he would eventually throw over one large black part, unidentifiable in it's purpose, along with a small pouch of bright bitter powder, and a single berry...surprisingly not rotting.

Riku thanked the man before walking off. Finally she had obtained the last piece. Everything safely in her pack, she decided to go visit the healing tent one last time. She had a funny feeling that the mission was far from over. At least to be on the safe side, she would get her Growlithe healed and have all her pokemon at full health. Walking into the tent, she glanced around holding her Growlithe's pokeball in hand. Well at least this time she wasn't asking for another miracle like having her leg healed.

Quick as a flash a Chansey would race passed the girl, swiping the child's Pokeballs, and returning moments later with them fully healed. It would seem the nurses were in a bit of a hurry!
