Filthy? Dirty puddle? Sure, the school pool wasn't as refreshing or dazzling as her previous spring, but now that she was stuck with this pool, Annalie refused to have it be demeaned like so. After all, this pool was her responsibility, so having it be insulted especially when she was in the process of cleaning it was bound to irritate her. Bristling with annoyance, Annalie sharply remarked. "Every body of freshwater? For all I know, you could tie me down to a toilet. Do you really think I'd be that moronic to accept an idea like that? If some idiot dared to even think to do that, I'd make sure to crack his skull open before he could get to do it."

Ian wasn't the only one disgusted; however, Annalie's obvious disapproval showed all over her face. ".... Your desperation makes things all the more suspicious, but I suppose if you degraded yourself to that low of a level, then I'll accept just to have you stop being an embarrassment to not only me, but yourself as well." Idly skimming through the sections as she followed through Ian's instructions, Annalie had to raise a brow at what he wanted. "Is there necessarily a purpose in asking for my hand? Annalie winced at the grating hyena-like laugh before she gave Ian a flat look at his proposal. Oh. Now, she got it. Ha. Ha. Still, she had to facepalm and sigh out. ".... Typically, one would try to know a woman before he cuts his life short with marriage." She needed to recollect her thoughts for this. As flattering as it was to have someone go to such sneaky lengths, she didn't even know this ghoul. Fins. She signed a contract, and she couldn't exactly go against it. Well, at least the marriage would be when she died. "Just.... hand over that ring before I eat you."

The ring itself was made of pure silver with plenty of odd blue jewels speckled around the outside. He thought it was funny that the gems were made of naiad blood, but he didn't tell her that. It was a miracle that she didn't kick him in the face already, so he didn't want to push his luck. __________________________________________________________
