They already said that they wouldn't use any of the models from the original for the IG units in WA.

Old animations etc.

They would be rewriting everything involving the Imperial Guard. Models would be taken from the game, but they would add completely new animations, stats and etc etc etc.

Oh come on, just be happy you sods! With the current stream they could be releasing a new army each year. Haha! Good joke. But it is a possibility. Just don't start bitching about it taking a year. You can't shake a game out of your sleave, jest like that. Try reading up on Raven software for a glory-story on creating games in a year.

The best thing is that with the Imperial Guard Basilisks, I can finally dig out that annoying Marine opponent, that always digs in really tight. Only way to get him out is through costly charges. Bah, digging in is not the way to play DoW!

Who said anything about infantry leading the way? Why, if my opponent wants to dig in, sit tight and dare not to sally forth to attack me, then I will just ahve to bury him in his base. He IS afterall asking for that. Or I could just cordon him in, you know, build a nice line of bunkers around his base, preventing him from getting out.

And what is better then to deliver the final blow with a small thrust of armour? Or I could always ask my brother and his Orky tactics to finish the game. That quirky b*****d really understands the way of the Ork. Once he begins the attack it wont stop till its over. (And that is when his opponent is dead twisted )

have ive been know to target my own unit when faced with an overwhelming ork offensive. Though in the steel legion mod basilisks cost 4 so i have three, two destoryers, and a hellhound. Then it guardsmen guardsmen everywhere

Played against my US chum yesterday, can say I kicked the bucket.

For once I tried to take his Dark Angels on Eldar style. Sadly, I made the poor choice of digging in. He did the same, as always.

He tried probing me first with assault marines and six scout squads with sniper rifles. He died on my defences and at the hands of the Seer Council. Then he decided to go evil on me. He built four Land Raiders and as much Terminators as he could. I fought a loosing battle.

And so the game ended, with a four Land Raider rush and five (!) terminator squads. Yup, power gaming at it's best.

But I lost, I am not good at controlling the Eldar, but in the end I blame myself and in a tiny bit the powergaming tactic of my opponent.

yeah the best thing to do for me when i play eldar is to pump out as many fire prisms as possible and Falcons nothing else is really effective as far as eldar armour goes

Apparently they were officially deciding between Tau, Necrons and IG for this expansion. Maybe we''ll see Tau and/or Necrons for the next one! smile

Still, Eldar require alot of looking after. I tried making a gigantic horde of Guardians with those anti-tank platforms, that seemed to work perfectly against his Land Raiders, though sadly his five terminator squads tore through the little pansies with little effort. I had grav tanks, I sent them over to sick the enemy base, which was sadly built for anti-armour in mind.

And where was that Avatar? In the infamous words of Pedro: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" I kinda forgot to build that one as I did not get the chance...

Ive already seen Tau though the mod still has them overpowered.

But yeah if you dont constantly watch all side while playing Eldar any other force will quickly swam in and overwhelm
