~Isamu Korino~

"My life is a Shakespearian tragedy"

After sneaking out of the infirmary and as far away from that crazy medic as possible, Isamu decided to go to the library to relax. he did not like Suzanne, but he didn't think that it would be too difficult to avoid her either. The young man had been asleep for a day or too so he had no clue what was going on, or even what day it was... He was very lost and confused. Oh well, he went into a corner of the library and pulled a book about sheep off of the shelf, and began looking through the pictures.

Sethrian finally made his way to the library after some dithering about where to go. He figured it would be a nice, quiet spot to just relax and read for a while. So far none of his classes required any extra studying. Using the computers, he selected a few books about the paranormal. He figured that since one of his [apparent] friends was a ghost, it wouldn't hurt to read up on them. And it might not hurt to read up on merfolk to find out if they were all so, well, Kamil-like.

The number from the cataloguing system led him to a back corner of the library for the books. He spotted another boy there, and moved closer as he scanned for the books he was seeking. Pulling out his reading glasses, he slipped them on and leaned closer to see the numbers on the book spines.

"Excuse me," he said quietly, as he passed between the boy and the bookshelves. Was he...reading a book about sheep?

Ah, two targets--erm--people, in sight. Suzanne vaguely recognized the boy who was about to rampage in the hallways. Now that she was planning to bring down the school, Suzanne realized that it would have helped the cause if she had let him rampage in the hallways. Suzanne cursed her idiocy. But it doesn't matter. There might be other chances. Of course she couldn't freak him out at the moment since he was in her library and she would instantly be blamed.

First, she went to go attend to him since he seemed confused. She didn't want to walk to him, but she had to. With all the lighting in the room, the shadows were difficult to travel in and she wasted too much energy for it. So she walked over to the boy.

"Nice to see you're feeling better, kiddo. You look kind of confused right now." Suzanne suddenly remembered that he couldn't speak English that well. She started to talk quickly. "This-is-utter-nonsense-but-it's-not-like-you'll-understand."

Isamu blinked and scooted aside for Setherian so that he could get to the books that he wanted. When Isamu saw Suzanne his body went stiff and he got a sudden look of discomfort. The woman's teasing of his speech impediment did NOT help in the least and it humiliated the poor boy. He only frowned and turned back to his book, trying to ignore her presence.

█ ██ ███ ███████████████████

Sylthfreiyn was bored. No one really visited the counselor's office that often. Besides, what kind of person came running to the counselor to spill out personal problems? Frankly, Sylth didn't want to hear it, but he had to since it was his job. However, there wasn't a need for him at the moment since no one was coming.

So he came to visit Suzanne as usual. He entered the library and saw Suzanne hovering over a boy trying to read with an amused smile. These students were wolves. Why did they flock to Suzanne anyways?

Sylthfreiyn moved over to Suzanne's side.
"It seems like it's busy here because of free period. Do you want me to help out, Suzanne?" Sylth glance down at the boy she was speaking to and found that he was tense. Being the school counselor of the school, he couldn't overlook this. He gave the boy a pleasant smile. "You seem to be rather tense. Is there something bothering you? Ah, there's no need to tell me if it's personal." And Sylth wasn't in the mood for a sob story either. "Just relax. The library is a pleasant place."

Oh wonderful! Sylth was here to help. Suzanne left to go help the other boy that had passed by. Suzanne hurried after the boy and gave him a quick tap on the shoulder. "Hello there! Is there a book you are looking for? I was able to memorize this place from top to bottom in a week so I know where just about anything is." Suzanne said as she examined the boy to figure out what kind of target he was and if he would be fun to tease.

He seemed a bit too serious-- somewhat gloomy. Suzanne might be able to find a lot of ways to tease him. But appearances never told the whole story so she would talk to him for a bit so she could know what would be a fun way to go about teasing this boy.

Isamu looked at the counselor. He didn't say anything. And chances were, he wouldn't be. He merely shook his head in disagreement that the library was a pleasant place.... to Isamu, it was the complete opposite and he hated it. If it wasn't for his urge to learn then he would never go there at all.

Sethrian glared at Suzanne. Well, he didn't exactly mean to glare, but it was sort of his normal expression so he couldn't help it. "I do not need your assistance," he said, pulling out the books he'd been looking for. Ugh. Why was this corner suddenly so cramped. They weren't having a bloody picnic so why did everyone need to crowd around so?

"Your catalog system is quite efficient for anyone who actually has the sense to use it."

The other boy looked completely terrified, and Sethrian hesitated, not sure if it was his doing, or the teachers. If it was his, he should leave. And if it was the teachers, well, he couldn't exactly give the two of them a good whack on the boy's behalf.

Not if he didn't want to get kicked out. Which, he sort of didn't.

((Oh Lordy. They've been descended upon by the Malevolyte siblings))

"If I act like everyone else..."

Julia looked up at the muffled voices across the library. Her concentration broken, she sighed and closed her sketchbook. She brushed away a few stray stands from her eyes and began to stand up. She longed to leave the campus, but she knew that was not allowed during study hall, and she always stuck to the rules.
Muttering something inaudible, she tucked her book under her arm and started to head towards the hallway. She was too confused with herself at the moment to start up any conversation.

█ ██ ███ ███████████████████

Well, it's not like Sylth could force him to be happy or talk about his problems. Besides, it was safe to assume that this little one was more afraid of Suzanne rather than attached to her so he didn't need to pay much attention to him. Which is probably why Sylth felt like treating the poor boy nicely.

"Suzanne will be busy trying to help the other students. She can be difficult to get along with, but she means well... sometimes."

Apparently Suzanne already found someone new to talk to. Fortunately that guy didn't seem to need her help.

Suzanne completely misunderstood Sethrian's reason for declining her to help him. She thought his glare was a defensive sign. He was to proud to admit to needing help. "Sometimes it's okay to ask for help! No need to be shy!" Suzanne laughed as she started pulling out a few books that he might like. She was a pretty good judge when it comes to picking books for people, but sometimes she likes to put random books along with it too.

Inside the pile somewhere, Suzanne slipped in a tutorial about how to be cheerful. Of course it looked like she was just piling random books in his hands, but some of them were serious choices to what she thought he might like.
"Alright! My job is done! See, asking for help is great." Suzanne declared and she pranced away to go find another student to tease-- erm-- help.

And she found one. She was a cute girl some ways away with bunny ears. Suzanne was too lazy to walk all the way there so she hopped into the shadows and crawled out from under the shadow of a chair near her and smirked at her.
"How may I help you?"

"If I act like everyone else..."

Julia stopped in her tracks as she heard a sudden voice from behind her as she was walking away. Her ears perked up slightly, and for a moment she wondered why she had not heard that student earlier. Turning around, she looked at the girl questioningly before pulling herself back to reality, the girl's question just now reaching her.
"Er- Um, no thank you.. I was just heading out anyway." she said with an apologetic smile, pointing towards the doorway.

What? What? What? This girl was leaving without reading or checking out a book? Suzanne stood up and dusted herself off. She crossed her arms. If this student came in here and just left, that'd be a waste of time. "I'm the librarian of this school. Professor Suzanne Malevolyte. If there's any book that you're looking for, I can always find it, you know. You could go off and impress your friends with your new knowledge. The kids in this school all act nice, but deep inside, they're all very judgmental. If you fail to impress them, then they'll just start ignoring you." Suzanne warned with a serious tone of voice.

Suzanne wasn't sure if that was entirely true about the school. But she wanted to plant some doubt in this girl. Hopefully she had friends to doubt anyways.

"Well, good luck out there then. With so many impressive, strong species out there, I'm sure the group of friends you found might be real friends. But it's really hard to know what they're thinking and it's easy to act nice." Suzanne laughed as she patted the girl's shoulder.

"If I act like everyone else..."

Julia watched a bit nervously as the woman stood with her arms crossed against her chest. She hadn't even said anything yet, but she already seemed intimidating. Hearing what she had to say, Julia looked down for a moment, clutching her sketchbook to her chest. What she said was most likely true, but she just couldn't bring herself to believe it. Julia mentally laughed at herself for being so gullible.
Her mind had wandered so much that she barely caught what she said last as she patted her on the shoulder. Looking back up, Julia put on a simper on her lips, trying to hide any doubt she may have had. Still, she had no idea what kind of book she would want... Perhaps she would come back once she had a pretty good idea.

"R-Right..." she said, stuttering lightly. She quickly escaped the woman's grasp before briskly walking out of the library into the hall, pondering what everyone really did see of her.

"I am not...shy," Sethrian said after Suzanne. He sighed and glanced back through his books, frowning when he spotted one that he had most certainly not selected. "And I do not--" he cut himself off from the near shout, and hissed quietly, "And I do not need advice on how to be cheerful!"

He had half a mind to throw the book at her, but instead, shoved it toward Sylth. "Feel free to give this to someone who wants it."

He started around the man, shooting the boy another glance as he passed. The lad still looked nervous. Perhaps he was just shy...or something.

Sylth blinked and glanced down at the book in his hands. Knowing Suzanne, she probably put it there on purpose. He still felt the need to defend his mischievous sister who had gone off to pester another student. "Suzanne tries to help out as quickly as possible so she can go help other students. Sometimes books get mixed into what she's giving when she doesn't mean it." Sylthfreiyn lied smoothly.

Well, Sylth felt that maybe the book would do the gloomy boy some good. But it wouldn't help if Sylth voiced his thoughts about it.

He turned back to the young boy still reading a book about sheep. Sylth had brought some treats for Suzanne, but decided against giving them to her since he didn't want her to get fat with all her intake of sweets. She didn't seem to have much self control and just ate anything that was given to her.
"They might not be much and I am uncertain if you care for sweets, but you can take these. If you don't need them, you can gift them to someone else." Sylth said to the nervous boy as he handed him the small sweets.

Suzanne was a failure at reading emotions. So she wasn't sure if her little blurb helped with putting some doubt in the girl. In the end, she didn't find a book to read. Well, Suzanne couldn't do much when it came to toying with emotions since she hardly understood them herself. All she understood was curiosity and the desire for fun.

Suzanne sighed and she went off to go look for someone who seemed entertaining.

Keith walked silently into the library, for once he knew he had to be quiet here. He looked around at the groups of people and shrugged, he wasn't currently interested in their conversations right now. What he was interested in was finding a dictionary to learn more about the kinds of people here," Sooooooooo... where are the dictionaries?", Keith asked himself. He began to search the many shelves of multicolored books for a dictionary.
