my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker listened to what Amp had to say in regards to his message. Well I suppose that explains that... It's still important that I deliver his message someway.... She nodded in understanding as he explained himself. As Amp amplified her power her green eyes widen, they were glowing a constant. It felt like such a rush possibilities filled her head as she sensed all the shadows in the room. She could practically touch, feel everything that had a shadow in the room. Things started to rattle in the room then she started to feel drained. Then he let go of her hand, she looked at it guessing it must have been his power affecting hers. She heard what he said about control. "Yeah... Control. Won't go far without that huh? Amp... about what you mentioned ealier with Warp...you said I can teleport through shadow and manipulate it? I'm beginning to see how the teleporting works...but manipulating it? I'm not sure how that works... what could I manipulate shadows to do?"

Cassie raised a brow at Felicia and waved away the first aid kit, "I changed my mind. I'm 99 percent sure I've got every piece of glass there is here, so you, Felicia, can be nurse. I don't feel like helping fix up Mr. Nixon. You two can bond while I find you some shoes that will work. I think I have that pair of tennis shoes they sent a size or two too big that I haven't got around to sending back. Your feet aren't that much bigger than mine."
As she stepped past Felicia she added, "I don't like dealing with blood or at least other people's blood. And, I don't have good bed side manner or something, or so I have been told. I think I've been called mildly sadistic or something, maybe, once or twice." She chuckled and smiled, waving her goodbye to them both, "Anyways, I feel like I've overstayed my welcome for now, here anyways."
She kissed Felicia on the cheek and blew a kiss at Dean just to be cheeky. Her flirting would have gotten her in trouble if she had been serious about it, but she never was. She never was serious about any of her antics: she played around because she was bored or so she claimed. Not waiting on their responses she jogged leisurely down the hall and up the steps to her room.

Amp glanced at the rattling items in his apartment, which stopped moving once he released his manipulation of her power. He hid his surprise and slight enjoyment of seeing such potential. He was right: she was worth a great deal. In fact, he hadn’t seen such strength of power and potential since he met Warp or maybe Blink. Of course, Blink while having an almost unlimited range of teleportation and a high carrying capacity could only teleport, Shadow Walker could manipulate shadows.
Hearing Shadow Walker’s question he frowned slightly, “You’re like a newborn bird trying to fly to the branch a few feet away with no idea that you can soar someday. Of course, I can’t criticize: I didn’t even know I was a homo-superior when the MRD came after me. I got outted by one of those scanning machines in front of a bunch of my old friends in Summer Camp. I was lucky Warp was there to save me: did you know it was he who figured out what I could do? Or at least the barest gist of what I could do.”
Suddenly, he smiled again, “Right, I did tell you that you could manipulate shadows. You just did something along those lines when I amplified your powers. It is pretty endless what you can do with shadows from what I can tell. I’m sure you have a range of sorts and limits to your stamina and what not. That is why Warp does any physical training at all, besides his lame excuse “girls prefer guys with abs”; it’s because the more stamina he has the more he can do with his powers and for longer. Also, we’re in Genosha: you don’t have to hide your powers. It is good to use your power whenever you can. The more you use your power the better you are going to be: practice makes perfect or at least makes you better and teaches you control."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker listened to Amp as he spoke of how she was like a newborn bird. Well, pretty much... she thought to herself with a shy shrug an and look to the side. He went on to tell her of his tale when he discovered, or in his case was discovered that he was a mutant and how he didn't know until Warp figured it out. Warp figured his power out? Well I suppose it's not a big surprise. I mean... he did figure out how to get me out of the shadow... She lost her train of thought at the sight of his smile, He is cute when he smiles... she blushed very subtly. As he continued to explain, her thoughts began to wonder. Endless? With Shadow manipulation? Gee... this may be a bit ... overwhelming... how did that saying from that comic book go? "With great power. comes great responsibility. " The responsible thing to do right now is learn how to control it... She listened as he went on to explain about possible limits and why Warp works out. She couldn't help but laugh at his excuse for working out, she stopped herself immediately as Amp continued. Then something triggered when he mentioned 'you don't have to hide your powers'. She rubbed her head as pieces of flash backs came back to her on how she was forbidden to use her... gift. It almost seemed strange to hear it was okay to use her power, all the more weirder to hear encouragement. She remembered a few times being punished for using her power. She snapped out of it in time for her to hear the last of what Amp had to say. "Sorry, if I seem lost in thought just now... I remember something ... or pieces of something. Someone telling me 'never to use my power' and I was punished whenever I did use it. I can't be sure... but there's a good chance that I did not know my power well enough to begin with... Then again... getting here... I must have known enough to get around or... was just ...lucky..."

"Or naturally talented," Amp muttered under his breath. "Flashbacks, that is another thing that you need to work on. I told you that you could see Memo who could help you get your memories back, most likely, but obviously you decided against it. Or Warp is a bigger coward than I thought. Anyways, it was probably someone who "cared" about you who told you to never use your power. A lot of homosapien parents and friends think they are doing a favor for their homosuperior family and friends by telling them not to use their powers. They think that they can hide and protect you from the MRD. Or at least that is what seems to be the case. I wouldn't know about families dealing with finding out one of their family members was a mutant. I wasn't able to go back home once I found out who I really was."
He shrugged, "Anyhow, if you want to get your memories back get a hold of Warp or Blink and one of them could track Memo down to help you out. Actually, Blink might be a better bet to get a hold of Memo than Warp. Memo still wants to kill Warp last I heard. Regardless, if you want to move on and not dig up old graves or whatever, I am willing to help you train. Right now, even. I don't have anything better to do, besides working another week ahead on homework for Warp and Blink." He raised a brow, crossing his arms, "Anyways, what will it be? Do I get to enjoy your wonderful company a bit longer or are you going to go run off to head down memory lane?" His last question was tinted with sarcasm, he didn't have patience for other people's hang ups about being a mutant. It wasn't like they could do anything about it.

my name is Shadow Walker Her eyes glowed and narrowed at the suggestion of going down memory lane. "I don't think I ever want to go down memory lane" she said with certainty. "Based on what I know, no one liked me, they simply shoved me in a coffin and expect me to drown. I don't want to remember how sad and unaccepted I was before. Instead I'd like to start on a clean slate here, forget who I was before." She took a step closer to him, "I'm ready to train."

Amp raised a brow and remarked dryly, "I don't think that your belief no one liked you is entirely true. If no one liked you they would have made sure you were dead before they shoved you in a coffin: you wouldn't have been given any chance. It's sort of like Cassie's and Warp's parents: they took Warp out of school to protect him and kept him from going to college even though he's really bright and when Cassie's powers were revealed they sent her on the run. They could have turned either of them over to the government, especially Cassie, since her powers popped up after the MRD started rounding homo-superiors up, but they didn't. Sometimes that is the best way homosapien parents can show their love to their mutant children. It still sucks and is seriously screwed up, but I've seen and heard about people who had no one who liked them at all. They end up being imprisoned by the MRD or dead or hunted down like wild animals, saved only by pure luck- that is what happened with me more or less."
He sat down on the futon and ran a hand through his blonde hair and said, "Of course, who am I to lecture someone older than me? I talk too much. I'm supposed to train you, right? I could do physical training, teach you proper punches and kicks, but that would mostly be a waste. If you can teleport properly you won't have to worry about blocking punches and hits, right? So, here's my challenge, for now I want you to travel using your power from over there at the punching bag to the kitchen at least fifty times or until I decide you can quit, whatever happens first."
He un-paused the movie and added over the movie that, though it was playing, the volume was almost completely down, "This might seem really stupid and repetitive, but little things like this are all about control. In fact, with your potential, you might find it is harder to travel such a short visible distance than to do more impressive jumps." Not bothering to explain further or pay her much more attention, he turned his attention on the movie, watching it with a small smile on his face as he apparently got absorbed by the movie quietly playing on the flat screen television.

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker frowned a little. She thought for certain he would agree with her reasoning for not wanting to look back. Though he had point about homosapien parents doing terrible things they had to do to protect their homo-superior children. For a brief moment she took it into consideration. But why a coffin? Couldn't they have flown me out to Genosha?... No... I think I stand by my belief... my gut is telling me I'm right...She heard his request, it made sense to her. As he unpaused the movie she shrugged it off and thought well.. what else is he going to do while I practice? She used a scrunchy that got left behind by one of Warp's girlfriends to tie her hair up. She wanted no distractions. She wanted to focus. Stepping into the shadow of the punching bag, which she thought would make things easier she looked at the kitchen. She concentrated on the kitchen, stared at it. Concentrated until her head hurt. She rubbed her head and thought, Well, this isn't working... What was it Blink said?... How did I do it before? She closed her eyes and thought of kitchen, her mind started to wonder what Warp was doing. She fell through her shadow and was launched into the kitchen. Her shoulder hitting one of the bottom cupboard doors. She groaned a little and rubbed her shoulder as a pot landed on her head, which ended up looking like a hat. "Well, at least I got to the right place..." she softly said as she moved the handle to the side. Shortly after she got up she realized she wasn't in the right kitchen it was Warp's. She swallowed hard as she put the pot back to where it was.

Kerana felt relieved when Cassie said that it was all clear. After she left Kerana quickly ran across to her teacher, the pitter patter of her bare feet running across the floor. She placed the First Aid Kit on the kitchen counter near him. Kerana took a look at his hand and knew what to do. She took out the medicinal alcohol to clean his wound then a cotten ball to apply it.
"Brace yourself Mr. Nixon... this is going to sting..." she started to clean the wound with the alcohol.

"A close attack would be the best bet to take him out, but I don't think she'll be ready for that in time," Warp muttered into his phone when he heard the pots rattling in the kitchen. He frowned and said, "Sir, I'm going to have to hang up: I have a visitor. Don't worry, I'll come up with a plan." He frowned as Magneto who was on the other line reminded a fair amount of his recent plans were being foiled by the X-men. "Yeah," he answered heading into the kitchen, "I'm working on figuring out what to do about that problem. We can talk about it later... okay we will discuss the matter later."
He sighed hanging up the phone and entered the kitchen where he found Shadow Walker putting away a pot. "Oh, you're back," he said with a slight frown, not knowing what to say. His mind was still half on the conversation he had with Magneto and his plans to kill the MRD head. "You know you could have just used the door."
Meanwhile, Amp sighed as he realized that Shadow Walker had teleported outside of his apartment on accident. It wasn't like he could do anything to help her. Picking up a sketch pad that was under the futon and a pencil he began to sketch as he waited. He figured if she didn't show up in an hour or so he would call Blink to check on her, after all his encouraging her to use her power was sort of the reason she was MIA now. And, he wasn't entirely sure about her teleporting range yet, either.

a.k.a. Myth  " Right..." Dean said to himself in a soft voice. This display was a bit pathetic. For god sake he had to lead these people not have them worry about him. There were times where he wondered if it had been better to have his memories altered or suppressed. He WAS walking on a thin grey line and he knew it. Some leader he was. His attention shifted to Kerana. Dean, having a very high tolerance for pain still winced but slightly. " Sorry 'bout that. My mind sometimes wanders off to places in my head I do not want to visit."

Kerana ears twitched subtly as she listened to his explanation and nodded. "I'm pretty sure you're not the only one that struggles with where your mind wonders.
My mind keeps going back to the day where my parents were taken and I couldn't do anything about it. I'm glad I made it here, it will better my chances of saving them when the time comes."
After cleaning his wounds and stopped the bleeding Kerana took a look over. There seemed to be too many cuts to put so many band-aides on it she wrapped the cloth bandage around his hand.

I was supposed to be in someone else's kitchen..." she rubbed her head thinking. "But I guess I started wondering what you were up to and... I guess I ended up with a wrong turn or something..."

"Like Amp's?" Warp asked with a raised brow and a sigh. "Blink texted me to tell me you were planning on visiting him. You shouldn't be around him, much, though. The kid is bad news since he had his run in with my sister. Her power changes people..."
He frowned slightly before smiling, "So you were thinking about me? How sweet. I would like to say I was thinking about you, but honestly I was dealing with business matters, boring stuff really. Anyways, not that it is my business, but if you are trying to figure out how to use your powers wouldn't someone like Blink who is a teleporter be more helpful to go to than going to Amp? I mean, he does know a fair amount of things about powers due to the nature of his powers, but he is just a sixteen year old kid and is a bit emotionally unstable if you ask me."

Even taking her time and pushing past a dozen different pairs of shoes to find a pair of new black running shoes that were a size too big in the wrong shoe box size, Cassie was heading downstairs in a mere few minutes. She had bought a pair of those shoes a year or two ago when she was still living at home and living a normal life, they had been comfortable jogging shoes so she had bought the same pair without trying them on when she had arrived at the Institute. Some loser had apparently put the wrong size shoes in the box she had gotten, so she had them lying around in her closet. She guessed it was lucky for the new girl that it was the case.
She paused outside the kitchen, hearing nothing private she entered carrying the shoes as Felicia wrapped Dean's hands. "Hey, I got the shoes," she said setting them on the counter. "They should be really comfortable. Back when I lived at home I wore the same type of shoe for training. Of course, back then I was training for soccer, not being an X-men..." she laughed, smiling with a shrug.
