Why do they want to join?: Gella used to be very focused on pretty stones. She loved to look for them, and began to hoard them. It did consume her life, and though she mothered one litter, once they were old enough to fend for themselves she basically abandoned them to their father and delved into her gems once more.
It took the abandonment of her mate and the scattering of her children to realize that she'd made a terrible mistake. She doesn't know where her ex-mate is, has no idea where her children have gone - and so she moved. She wandered for quite some time until she came to the Pridelands in hopes of proving to herself that she could change. The loss of her mate troubles her to this day, as does the scattering of her cubs. She berates herself constantly over it.

Why do they want to join?: Orad is a good lion. He has a heart of gold, and he loves easily. He wants nothing but happiness in his life - but when his mate disappeared, he was left inconsolable. Not even his children - or grandchildren - could relieve the sadness that ate at his heart.
Behind every ruin of the old dawnwalker pride was the shadow of his Ampalaya, and it became too much to bear. Orad left the old ruins, and he would have been happy to die in the vast sea of sand if it hadn't been for Sajari saving him.
Looking for a new home together, Sajari taught Orad to love again, to trust again, and to hope again. The Pridelands seemed the best place for them to settle down, and so here they are.

Why do they want to join?: Being raised in the Bandit pride, Sajari led a happy life. When the pride scattered to the four winds, Sajari was forced to face a decision. Did she remain with her mother and father, did she follow them where ever they decided to go?
Or did she forge her own way in life, and take the path less trodden?
Sajari decided to make her own way. On her travels, she stumbled across a very sick, very dehydrated Orad. She took the time to nurse him back to health, and the two fell in love. They came to the Pridelands in hopes of their forever home, a place where they could raise a family and have their happily ever after, together.

Why do they want to join?: Currently transitioning from adolescence to adulthood, Kiwara has never lived in a pride environment/hierarchy save the small family she had with her rogue mother and a few siblings that managed to live past their first eight weeks.
She's lived mostly independent and was taught survival, above all things, was one of the most important roles a lioness in her position needs to understand. So being an intelligent young female, she believes the only logical step to take in ensuring her survival is joining a pride.
And the Pridelands being healthily populated and abundant in game seemed like the better choice to her than attempting to fend off any possible kills from hyena in rogue territory.

Why do they want to join?: Their previous pride disbanded, which was a heavy blow to Akhen. After wandering as rogues for a long time they stumbled across the Pridelands. Deciding it was safe enough (certainly safer than remaining as rogues) Akhenaten wishes to settle down with his mate in order to give her safety and protection as he himself is gradually aging.
