Despite her thrashing attempts to get out, it seemed that all she did was..well.. she didn't exactly help her own situation of freeing herself. She was cold, her limbs were cold..and she'd managed to just..tangle herself up into a fit of net and limbs. Her wailing silenced and she looked up when she started hearing voices. What was... ...?
The pricolici sat up, as the fiasco started to go down above them, the glow in her eyes glowing stronger as the enemy ranks began to fight between themselves. She could hear them and very faintly, when not struggling, she could see them. There was...
.. wait, was that Red? What was going on??
Shehk wasn't sure what to make of the situation, but suddenly there was fire. Oh hell, fire. FIre. Fire. She let out a shriek of fright underneath her net as it caught ablaze. However, it seemed that even if she attempted to free herself from it, she herself lacked the mobility to do anything about it. No, she would remain trapped even then, pulling Nuk's coat around her and kicking at the offended flaming spot on her net in an attempt to get herself out (eventually) without completely burning herself up!

Willow snarled when she was kicked, trying to move away from the boot she had to get Demi then she was planning on coming back for whichever hunter she could get first. However, just as she was watching the hunter that kicked her turn into Red her eyes widened.
What the jack was Red doing here? Why did she tell the hunters were they'd be? The tiger ghoul wasn't sure she liked this, however the fact that red fired her flame thrower to try to get them out seemed.... like it was okay for now. However, she was now wary of the teacher.
The tiger ghoul attempted to gnaw her way out of the rest of the net hoping that she could break free and help Demi. Luckily the net finally snapped, however it left a few burn marks. Once Willow was free she scrambled away from Red and Calius over to the pup. "Demi..." She was looking towards the hunter, "Red was one of the hunters..." She said making sure no one was after them, granted she'd probably attempt to rip their throats out by now.

It almost seemed like he popped out of hiding out of nowhere but it was probably better to say he just wandered out and attacked the first straggler he came across with his weapon bared. He focused a determined gaze on a creature and lashed out.
Those still bound in nets were of no consequence just yet. It was better to take care of the roamers.

MAGICALLY APPEARING NETS.
CLOAKED FIGURES (AGAIN).
PROFESSOR RED.
FIRE.
BUTTLOAD OF STUDENTS TRAPPED IN FIREY NETS.
And scream that could quite possibly rival a banshee's.
Colette snapped out of her confused stupor of the scene that played out before her and the other students. As she got up off the ground, she looked at all of her peers still trapped under their burning nets. Disabled companions were definitely not good for this war that was about to break out, and the ghoul screaming as if she wanted to bust a lung sounded particularly distressed.
Hauling a**, Colette hurried to Amrita and pulled at the net with her armor-gloved hand and tried to shout over the screaming. "I got it, I got it!" Just calm down.
Target: Amrita (Defending) Damage Prevented: +5 to net roll. HP: 40/40 Effect: ----

Madison's eyes widened as Aria - the woman she'd admired so! - twisted and transformed into... into... No!Kouki hissed in anger, and Madison automatically raised the weapon in her hands - not the serpent-sword, but the capture gun. "How could you!" she cried, aiming at the thing that was once Aria and firing. Perhaps she could immobilize the... the... thing and then Caelius could decide what to do next or... or... how could this be happening... The net went wide, thus ending her train of thought. We want to bite her!! Stop using that thing! Kouki demanded.

The events that unfolded were.. almost unbelievable- but more so was the fire that burned her.. and the net. Fire had never before hurt her, and the salamander, stared dumbstruck at the net before clawing at it again.
This time it fell apart easily, and that.. that hurt. To realise she wasn't strong enough, but someone else with the same power was? Granted, it was Professor Red who'd set them all on fire, but.. if anything, it just made Vieve want that power more. Someday she'd set everything on fire.
Running fingers over the burns on her arms, Vieve stood and stretched. It might hurt, but she was comfortable now, amongst the flames. Twice she had gotten caught- third time lucky, perhaps?

Lattice heard Lizzy's cry and during her struggles she suddenly cried out, "PROFESSOR RED. THE SUN IS RISING."
Otherwise she was still wiggling about trying to get free of the burning nets.
At least she passed on the message!

We could do that, Ferros said thoughtfully as they watched Caelius's descent. I suspect we'd need more practice, Jordan replied. Then he froze with disbelief, watching the scythe slice into and through Aria. Was Caelius crazy? Or had he caught a traitor? Either way, it seemed that Aria was one of them. The realization sliced through him like a betrayal. If he couldn't trust their leaders, who could they trust? There was an easy answer to that, at least. He'd trust his team. The other trainees, perhaps, as well, but he knew who he'd stand by without question. As he scrambled down to the floor of the valley, dropping the net gun without even thinking about it, Ferros hissed eager hunger into his mind. No screaming, Jordan said as his feet hit the ground and Ferros materialized in his hand. No screaming, the weapon agreed ruefully. But I'm hungry. The decaying thing that they had come so close to killing in the grassy room was here. Not just here, but still pinned in a net. A fierce grin spread across Jordan's face. Time to finish the job. There was another thing tugging at the net, but he could deal with that afterward if it stuck around. "Nice to see you," he growled at both ghouls, bringing the hammer down. Ferros's snarl of satisfaction resounded in his head as the weapon fed. Target: Amrita Damage: 10 HP: 40/40 Charge Attack: Battle Cry - The hammer's head bursts into flame, increasing damage done and potentially setting the target alight. 1/3 charged

By some unholy miracle, there was the flicker of recognition as she looked between the two hunters whose nets had 'missed,' even despite the chaos of the new battle, her pupil dilating as if trying to transform into the giant hellhorse that had threatened to crush their bones and burn them to cinders.
"I remember you two..."
The harsh quality of her voice had dissipating completely, suddenly deceptively calm as she spoke up to them, her tone a low purr of fake interest. "You were the lovely little group who killed off some of your own for my amusement. Little reds~"
Even prostrate as she was, there was something exceptionally demeaning about the last term, an insinuation that the wolf had devoured them whole, the better to eat the dears. Psychological warfare was one of her strong suits. While Invictus was by far the most calculating of their four, and all of them too a certain demented pleasure in bending another to their will, Eris in particular loved the game of breaking their fragile human minds, gleeful at the prospect of pitting them against each other. Such was war, and such was the Heir, wasting no opportunity, especially considering the circumstances. It was good to see old friends~
"Didn't you love how easily they turned on each other? So willing you were to slaughter your brethren to save your own skins? It wasn't hard... I can do it again," she continued, eyes flicking between Madison and Jordan, settling on the latter. He was the obvious leader -- even back then, if she recalled correctly. The girl she had pinned as the weaker willed of the two, but she enjoyed the challenge. The higher they were in the heirarchy, the farther they had to fall. Craning her head up a little, she leaned closer to them, grinning sadistically. "I will make you kill your friends. I'll even let you pick off the weak, useless ones first. How about your little sweetheart there?"
Flicking her predatory gaze away from Madison, Eris shifted them to Before instead, the one who had successfully captured her.
"Or this one? He's not even yours... cut him down quickly, and I'll let you live."

Amrita had stopped screaming by the time Colette rushed over to save her, but she was trembling something fierce. The ghouls voice seemed to have died along with her nerves, and it took her a moment or two after the net had been lifted to register that it was gone. Like, gone gone.
She had never scrambled to her backwards feet so fast in her entire life, and wasted no time in giving Colette a VERY BIG HUG. No matter what pointy armor bits poked into her skin; her flesh was done for anyway. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the hunter she recognized - Jordan - approach, and without thinking she shoved Colette out of the way to take the full brunt of the blow.
Literally.
"Hnnnggg!" She hissed among the snapping and breaking of bones, falling to her knees in a lump, and finally onto her side.

Bix's mind was blown. Aria was one of the monsters? BUT SHE WAS SO HOT. I'm the only woman you can trust.Bix looked very sad all of a sudden. Aria had been the only superior to ever give him good feedback. He really admired her sweet a**. it just wasn't fair. "Oh god.. SHE'S SNAPE." But she was on the wrong side!! Her fire was eating through the nets and several of the students were freed by the traitorous woman. He tucked his capture gun into his pants and summoned his bow once more. "There you are." Bix honed his bow on the firey-ghoul from earlier. She was a nasty one and he'd been waiting quite a while to use a real weapon on her. [[ HP: 40 / 40 Target: Vieve Damage: 4 Weapon Charge: 2 / 3 Charge Attack: Pinions of the Dawn Star; using Swift Strikes. Bix fires an arrow into the air which splits into many arrows and rains down on the enemy. ]]

Ennéa stood and watched with the other hunters as Caelius too a swing at Aria with his scythe. "Wait. Why are they fighting?" She asked Baraz quietly though still out loud. It still hadn't occurred to her that she could mentally speak to her weapon. "What's going on??" I think we've been betrayed. Baraz said. He then hissed as Aria, or rather the thing Aria had transformed into anyway, set the nets on fire. Yep. He confirmed and there as the sound of his great wings flapping, Let's kill her!Ennéa started. "What?!" She took a step back, "But she's like -- she'd kill us!" Baraz growled in frustration. You can do it! Stop being so scared!!"There's scared and there's suicidal!" She shouted back at him. She was definitely scared, but despite what Baraz thought, tired and frustrated were dominating. Ennéa still had no idea what was going on but she had enough of being jerked around all day. She just wanted to go back home. You're a hunter! Baraz shouted back at her, somehow hearing her thoughts once again. Deal with it!Ennéa made a face and was about to retort back but one of the monster strangers in front of her was escaping the net. The monster still seemed to be on fire too and was... enjoying the flames? That was creepy. "Fine!" She shouted at Baraz, she angrily swung him around at the ghoul. "I'm dealing with it!!" The axe swing was wild and didn't seem to do any damage. Did she even hit the monster girl? Ennéa didn't really care. She had spied Jordan fighting a short distance away and she ran to him. "Boss!" She cried in relief, taking a fighting stance along side him. "What the heck is going on?? Did Aria really betray us?" She couldn't trust her superiors but she believed in Phoenix squad. She trusted Jordan. "What should we do?!" Target: Vieve Damage: --- HP: 40/40 Fear/Charge Attack: Sonic Blast - Ennéa can twirl and create a whirlwind gust around her for several paces when Baraz is charged (Swift Strike). Charge: 1 of 3

Aria was here?
She liked their weapons training instructor well enough... Thus Caelius' sudden attack caused her to pause, frowning as she stared at the two figures from where she was standing. When Aria's... Disguise was torn away, she stared, surprised - Seriously, what was with all these 'things that could surprise Ariane' events on this mission?! - before that surprise faded into pure disgust - the one instructor she actually liked turned out to be a traitor?
She needed to beat something up, so Caelius' command came at the right time, really.
Ariane stared at the gun in her hand, and then at her weapon's totem, wrapped around her wrist as a make-shift bracelet seeing how her neck had been filled just now. She grinned, tossing the gun aside before pulling the bracelet off; Caelius had said to destroy them, after all! These things are like cockroaches, pests that never seem to vanish for good but you still feel good squishing one when you see one anyway.
Noticing that one of the furries had broken free of the net, she decided to go for her, swinging her weapon out.

Everything had just gone straight to hell. For a moment, Cass wanted to beam and be proud. Look Miss Aria, she'd caught herself an undead! See? She was useful, they didn't need to...do whatever it was that happened if one ended up ..y'know..un-useful. But then in another moment Caelius struck out at her. Oh ********, horrible lover's spat? It could have been just that.
Until the transformation. The mist trainee watched in shock and horror as the woman's clothing darkened and everything seemed to just be.. Red. Red? She could hear the abominations calling out for her in recognition and the look on the hunter's face turned dark and ominous. She was angry. Aria had been a lie. A lie.
Always a lie. She seethed. She'd been afraid of a woman who was actually this monster. This.. thing. Cassandra had been betrayed by someone she was meant to look up to. To respect, even.
"Well if we can't kill them, we'll just capture them again." she hissed underneath her breath, gun at the ready as she settled in and aimed her weapon towards the group that was escaping even then....
She'd take that fire-y girl down there. Yeah, that'd be the best target of all. Cass aimed and pulled the trigger in an angry huff.

OOC:Just to clarify, there are about 40+ characters in this thread! Please limit yourselves to only one action. HALLOWEEN:- Roll a 1d12. This determines whether or not you're still in the net or you're out. - IF YOU DID NOT ESCAPE you can continue to RP, but you're still STUCK. - If you DID escape, then you can: -- ATTACK or DEFEND -- If you choose to DEFEND, you can defend YOURSELF or help someone out of the net. If you decide to help someone out of the net then roll to defend: Quote: Y1: 1d4 Y2/Hunter Trainee: 1d6 Y3/Hunter/Horsemen: 1d8 Professors/Deus Ex Leads: 1d10 And add whatever you got to the person you're helping. ie, Bob rolled a 5. He's still in the net. Sue rolls a 10 and is out. Sue defends and rolls a 3. She is helping Bob. 5+3 = 8! Bob is free from the net! Bob can either ATTACK or DEFEND at this point. HUNTERS:You can either ATTACK or CAPTURE someone not in a net. You cannot do both! In addition, if anyone has any healing items? Using one takes up your action turn. If you have a healing item and you're in a net, you can still use it -- but if you get freed, you cannot attack or defend. Also, HP DID NOT REPLENISH. Be careful! o___o
