He grabbed his breakfast in a haste, the sooner he left the better off he was. The maids hurriedly bid him goodbye though they couldn't assemble fast enough into their lines.

Jake watched Arc leave, the blood dripping from the cut on his cheek substituted for tears. Wiping away the drops as best as he could, Jake decided to just study for the day. But he could not bring himself to look at his book. He just could not concentrate on it, even though he tried so hard to do so.

Arc had been infatuated with one of his female workers and he bothered to ask her out on a date, she accepted. He found out that she loved his power water drinks and had been drinking them since it came out, inspiring her to work with the Talons Corporation.

While pondering, Jake felt a sudden disturbance. He tried to shrug it off, but somehow he couldn't. To take his mind off the feeling, Jake tried to find peace in looking at the pictures that were scattered around Arc's room.
In each picture, there was the Master, Arc, and Jake, all grouped into one happy family. Well, sort of. Actually, the servant noticed that Arc hardly smiled in any of the pictures. His eyes actually seemed to hold resentment, as if he had lost something.

Arc laughed as he treated her to dinner, the girl had been on the power water design team, coming up with new elaborate bottle's and color schemes. Though he really wasn't a professor, his brain was smart enough to combine vitamins, minerals and natural fruit flavors into it, he had come out with extra calorie packed one for those who were athletic as he. A syrupy one for lolita's and sugar addict's. It was the start of his era, his small yet intelligent brain outranked his fathers.
It was a date that seemed to evolve around both there work and life, telling secrets that were withheld. She was in fact a basilisk falcon, she enjoyed flying but she blinked as he told her his form was of a wolf, not one with wings. They were both shifter's.

Jake now sat on the couch, waiting patiently for Arc to return. The servant had finished studying a long time ago, and he found nothing to clean except for some bloodstains that most likely came from drops of blood from the cut on his cheek.
He let out a sigh, looking behind him to see his underdeveloped wings. He made them move back and forth, each wing going in the opposite direction, as if he was trying to fly. The wings were still too small, but perhaps one day they would grow large enough to lift him off the ground, assuming that the scars under the feathers didn't stunt them.

The world had many hidden things in it and one was people with mutated DNA, normal people accepted these as occurrences that could not be forgotten and the people who had wings, shifters and vampires. as well as elf and other creatures that were thought of legends.
Arc said goodnight to the female who accompanied him till he left, offering her a ride home. Indeed, it seemed a match made for two very different shifters. Arc growled when he reached his room, Jake was still up and not in bed, school was tomorrow. "Sleep on the couch tonight and every night till you learn that sleep before school comes first."
He changed into his PJ's and climbed into bed. Turning the lights out before Jake had finished getting into his.

After he finished changing, Jake obeyed the command without a word, a bit glad that it seemed he wasn't going to smell that weird smell again. Attempting to ignore the cold air, he closed his eyes and tried to empty his mind long enough to fall into unconsciousness. There was one bright side to all of this: he was at least ready for tomorrow's test.

Arc didn't even shift that night, very very rare for him not to morph. He did his morning routine and noticed his closet stocked with his suits again. He sighed and dressed. Grabbing his laptop from the coffee table, went to go eat.

As soon as he woke up, Jake headed for school. Of course, he grabbed a piece of toast before leaving, as he wasn't sure if he had time to have a proper breakfast. He rushed, perhaps to get the day over with.

Arc had one of the maids grab him and made him sit in a chair in front of a plate. "Punishment, need a proper meal before a test, got time." He sipped his coffee. "Your not leaving with out eating this meal first. No breakfast, no focus in school and a piece of toast doesn't cut it." He gave some regards to him.

But Jake was incredibly anxious, even though Arc had said there was sitll time before heading off to school. He really didn't want to be here right now. He just wanted to leave, get school over with, and come back to study for the next day.

Arc knew about upcoming test's. "The longer you sit there, the more you're going to be late for school, eat." All Arc cared about was Jake getting into college since he denied going to a normal school. The boy would have to go to bed early and wake up early. The maids were going to be put in charge of his waking up and going to bed.

With a sigh, Jake started shovelling food into his mouth, just so he could leave. He hardly bothered to chew, though he was sure this was going to negatively affect him. It didn't matter at the moment, though. He just needed to get to school as soon as possible, just to keep his nervousness from really getting to him.

Arc had the cooks slip a calming agent into Jake's food so he would calm down and feel confidant with himself. He was technically cheating but Arc knew what he was doing and the drug would take affect as soon as Jake got to his first class.
