She smiled a bit, "Thanks Yori... I'm grateful for that." she glanced over at Yamato, wondering how long she'd have to get to know Yori's sister. Lydia wanted to know her better, for some reason. It was as if the siblings were a part of her life now, a part she couldn't leave. She smiled knowingly when she realized that this was a feeling of family. Something she wouldn't have again.

Yamato looked over at Yori "What are you talking about, Yori?..." She paused in her own thoughts as though she said the question out loud just for her to answer. "...You mean to tell me that she'll be living with us, like a family?" Yori looked at his sister and nodded enthusiastically. "We'll set up camp here." Yamato smiled at the thought of Lydia joining their small family, but was a bit concerned "What about her family, won't they miss her?" Yori stopped starting a fire and looked down "She doesn't have one." he said quietly "Right?" he asked Lydia; looking up at her.

Lydia looked down, nodding a bit. "They could care less if I went missing." Her voice sounded a bit sorrowful, as she remembered some of the worst of her childhood. After a moment, she looked up at Yamato, "They scarred me. I'm sure they don't need me." Lydia then rolled up one of her sleeves, whip-marks trailing about the length of her arm. "Even if they miss me, I won't go back..." she said quietly, gently stroking one of the scars painfully. "At least... you won't hurt me like that, right?" she said in a modest tone, smiling a bit at both of the siblings. She soon rolled down her sleeve, helping to set up camp silently. She let out a soft sigh, the memories painful.

Yamato felt horrible for even bringing it up "I-i'm sorry." she said as she bowed and sat down.

Yori sighed, still looking down and then began to start the fire again. "Well, we still have some meat left." he said as he took out the blanket full of deer meat. and stuck some on a stick; letting it cook. "I wonder how bad the damages are going to be." he said thinking about the damages the spirits made while they were gone." He stood up and drew a circle with writing on the outside and side of it. Yori walked into the circle and set a barrier with his flames on the perimeter. "There...try not to disturb the writing or it won't be of use." he said as he turned the meat "i wonder what our house will look like." he stated. Yamato gasped "aw man! our pet fish are probably dead by now!" she said sadly as Yori chuckled slightly. "I don't know what i'll go with out you." he said as he smiled at her. she just merely looked at him. she knew she wouldn't last long, especially if Yori was going to do all the fighting. She had to keep her power within her so that her body could 'refill' itself . she smiled faintly and curled up in a ball; still siting on her butt. "So what are we gonna do when this is all over?" she asked Lydia, as though her brother didn't need to answer.

Lydia shrugged, sitting down before the fire. "Honestly... I guess that we'll just have to let it all play out." She then looked down, "I'd have to leave sooner or later, though. Once the journey is over... I'll have to begin the life of a normal woman, and get marrried." She frowned at this thought, however, not knowing who on Earth would accept her. She spoke to spirits, after all. That would make her seem abnormal, maybe even an unsatisfactory candidate for a life partner, as her father would put it. "For you two, though... You'll have time to relax, and spend the last days together. You'll have to make the best out of life. Yet, I believe it's too early to start thinking about all this. Who knows how long it will take to free the world? For all I know... the leader of spirits may not be in America. We'll just have to find out, as time goes on." She explained, glancing at Yamato. "Unless... you two have a good idea of what's ahead of us. You always speak of a prophecy, was this part of it?" She inquired in a solemn tone. Lydia was curious, now. If they had known from the beginning what would happen, would they not have prepared for it? Or... did they never believe in it... Lydia shook away the thoughts, waiting patiently for an answer.

Yori poked at the fire with a stick while Yamato rotated the food again. "As kids our father told us of a prophecy. Our mom would never believe it and when she would tell it to us, she would tell it as a bed time story. Our father was the one who started getting us to try to believe in it after the many years of hearing it as a fairy tale. We believed it, we just never thought it would happen, and now that the day has finally come..we're a bit confused on what to do. We have forgotten bits and pieces of the story since our parents passed away, but they have been coming to us more and more as we move along." Yori paused and chuckled "It's funny though, in the story there was never anyone, but the twins." He looked at Lydia "Meaning, there was no accomplice, like you." in that moment of time he found Lydia to look especially beautiful and he smiled, his face getting hot then looked away and handed out the cooked meat. "It would seem that we will not finish in time for me to enjoy my time with my sister." he said replying to one of her statements "It will take at least a week or so until all of the spirits are purified and by that time...well..." he looked down, his eyes watering up. He cleared his throat and took a bite of his food while Yamato finished his sentence.
"By the time we finished purifying the spirits and save the world, i will be breathing my last breath." she said calmly.
"tch, don't simply state it like that! Don't talk about it like it's not a problem!" he snapped looking to the side. Yamato just ignored him as she took another bite of her food. Yori sighed and handed Lydia and Yamato his share of food. "You can have it if you like, i've lost my appetite." he said as he laid down, curling up in a ball.

Lydia sighed, seeing that Yori was still going to be immature about losing his sister. "Yori, there's no point moping over Yamato's tragic situation. Every living thing has an end, Yori. Yamato... she's just unlucky to have to leave earlier than she should. You can't let it throw you off. Everytime the subject comes up, you always act stuck up about it, as if me and her don't care. But, honestly, I've accepted that we have no way to save her. I'll die, too, one day." she said in a stern tone. Sure, Yori should be sad to leave his sister, but... to be so stubborn about it? She sighed, "Sorry... I should just stay quiet." she murmured, finishing her share of fish, but leaving Yori's to the side. He needed to eat. Technically, as per what Yori said, she wasn't supposed to be with them. She was an extra burden. With these glum thoughts, she forced a strained smile at Yamato, and crawled to her own area off to the side. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.

Yori flinched when Lydia stated that she would die "Don't even talk about dying right now Lydia." he said softly "I'm not being stubborn, i'm just disappointed in myself...for not finding another way to save my sister without her sacrificing herself." he said pained "No matter what i'll make sure you live, Lydia." he stated as he turned to looked her in the eyes determined "When you die, you will be an old woman happily married." with that he laid back down not knowing what else to say. 'she doesn't know how sickening it is to leech off of your sisters life, knowing that she looks fatigued every time.' he thought to himself. His heart ached because of that. It was almost as though he was a vampire and is slowly sucking his sister dry from her life. He didn't like it at all, he never liked taking someones life. With that they went to sleep, heavy aura hanging heavily in the air. However in the middle of the night Yori was woken up by fatigue. He saw that there were a lot of spirits and his hand went to his chest. The barrier felt like it would give way any moment and he hoped Yamato and Lydia would stay asleep. He didn't want them to see him while he was weak again. The last thing he wanted was for Yamato to give him her power. He stood with his staff in the middle of the circle and began to quietly chant, wincing as his heart strained to keep him alive. It was taking a lot of power to keep all of the spirits out, but he was going to live through it no matter what.

Lydia woke up not long after Yori, sensing the spirits. There were more now than before. She sighed, not noticing Yori, and started to use a spell she had learned. The blue flames grew a bit brighter, and then an orange haze spread out further. It was a powerful spell, but it worked best when Lydia was asleep. She then sat down by the dying fire, yawning. Under no curcumstances would she allow the siblings to be hurt. They were going to save the world soon.

Yori jolted a bit when he saw Lydia shift, but he saw that she hadn't seen him and relaxed as he gently fell to his knees. 'How am i going to save the world if i can't even keep away these measly spirits?!' he snapped at himself before sighing and plopping down to go back to sleep, aggravated.

Lydia heard him drop to the ground, turning her head to see. She sighed, realizing Yori must've been too tired to do anything. She wondered how him and Yamato would survive. Soon Yamato would be out of power, but when she died... wouldn't Yori die too? No, there had to be a different outcome. The prophecy seemingly was true so far, it wouldn't fail. She sighed, holding her knees close to her chest. It was difficult to sleep after waking up, it was a problem Lydia always had. So she watched the spirits pathetically walking into the barrier, purifying themselves like idiots. It was comical, but then again, one day Lydia would join them... It was what her master had taught her. How she missed him; he was a father to her. Without him, she felt like everything she knew was slipping through her fingers. But, he disappeared like Ren had, one day. It turned out Ren was Yori's counter-part... so then who was her master?

In the dawn of the morning the barrier had ceased, but there were still spirits around. They floated there, not doing anything, but staying as far away as the barrier had kept them last night.
"Y-Yamato, Lyida wake up!"

Lydia had just began to drift into deep sleep when she heard Yori's voice, snapping her head up and looking around. "What? What's wrong?" She looked over at Yori, then at the spirits. 'D*mn it! I was supposed to keep that barrier up all night!' She thought angrily to herself, attempting to replenish the barrier with a spell. This time, it didn't go out as far, and wasn't quite as bright. "Sorry... my fault..." she muttered quietly, rubbing her eyes. Not sleeping was the worst idea she'd had in years.

"No, don't put it back up. Something's up...i can feel it...it's like i can almost hear them or something."
Yamato looked at him confused "What are you talking about?"
"I don't know, but it feels like they want to come closer to me...and I want them too."

Lydia raised an eyebrow, "You sure?" She asked, letting down the barrier. She stood up, looking warily between the spirits and Yori. What was going on...?
