Balance was not an issue the Buneary would have, contrary to the mutt's belief; however the fact his back was turned presented an ever present problem. One with a rather simple solution.
Anchoring his heel into the floor, the Buneary would pivot sharply, reaching out with both ears in an attempt to actually grab the Growlithe. Using the momentum and them Fire-Type's own weight he'd then attempts a rather difficult move...one which could easily end this battle for Sir Aiden one way or another...Circle Throw!

[15-2] + [8-8] = 13 x2 Failed Counter = 26 DMG Buneary= -15 HP
Unfortunately the Buneary's ears were not strong or fast enough to get a grip on the Growlithe. The fire dog slammed into the bunny's back flames engulfing the pokemon. It landed with a crack into one of the pillars, still on fire. There was a loud noise that resounded a little and the Growlithe winced. He hadn't meant to hurt the fellow that badly. The pokemon was definitely dead... But was it a real pokemon or something imaginary in here? At least he had won the battle.

He seemed a little older and stranger then most pokemon they had encountered and yet not as violent. He challenged the pair to a duel and lost. Ryuu managed to knock him out with a powerful Bite attack, though luckily the pokemon was still barely conscious. With that, the pair were able to capture the Growlithe and he is a good addition to their team.

Sir Aiden Gained: 76 EXP!
87/200
In the span of a blink the Buneary and terrain would disappear in a red flash. For once Sir Aiden stood victorious...but the question then became, would Riku choose to continue?

Sir Aiden stayed on the field. He wasn't ready to leave just yet. The growlithe had yet to level up any higher and the Professor didn't want them back until that happened. The canine glanced around, wondering what would pop out next. He remained on alert, in case an attack came from anywhere. Who knew what the newest pokemon would be like? For all he knew, it could come out prepared to fight and strike with the first move!

Shadow would give way to trees as the world around them took a sudden shift. Tall firs and ancient oaks lined the place creating a living maze. At the center of where they stood sat a solitary campfire, the rest of these mysterious lands giving way to the darkness of night. They'd gone from dark, to slightly less dark.
The bushes around them would rustle, an ominous shadow appearing upon the wood. Whether a trick of the firelight, or a horrible truth, the creatures shadow appeared tremendous; easily overshadowing Sir Aiden.
The rapid buzzing of wing beats would appear in the night air, and their opponent would appear...a Ledyba.
Not initially the most terrifying Pokemon, but the look in this ones eyes practically spelled out the word 'Murder'.

Sir Aiden looked at his opponent and was a little surprised by the look in it's eyes. He shook it off, ears flickering back. Okay, he had already learned there were tons of crazy pokemon in this arena. This was just another one. He took off, hoping that he'd be able to weave through the trees and such in the darkness and make it hard for his opponent to find him to land an attack!

Such straight forward thinking would prove to be the Growlithe's downfall. Not all attacks needed a target to be used, some didn't even require the ability to see!
All six limbs clutching onto the side of a tree, the Ledyba would turn his back so that it faced the direction the Growlithe had run. The Pokemon's spotted shell would open to reveal a pair of translucent wings, which rapidly began to beat, and in doing so producing a loud buzzing sound. With each passing moment that buzzing would grow louder, sharper, building into an agonizing keen.
This was one of the ultimate Bug-Type moves, one with the power of an entire swarm behind it....BUG BUZZ!

[11-2] + [9-8] = 10/2 = 5 DMG
Sir Aiden kept running and running. There was a faint noise behind him but he ignored it. Louder and louder it became until he skidded to a stop and then clamped his paws over his ears. That noise was agonizing to his sensitive ear drums. He thought maybe running away would help but it didn't. He was about to try running again and he forced himself to get to his paws. Running again, he couldn't focus on anything in front of him and then ran headfirst into a tree. His head spinning, he sat there for a second until the dizziness wore off. Ouch, that was going to leave a bump. Angry, he made his way back to where he had left his opponent. Bursting into the clearing, flame spit from his maw as he raced through them until his coat was thoroughly covered. The Growlithe leapt upwards aiming to slam into the Ledyba with a Flame Charge!

Rather then releasing the tree and flying away, the Ledyba would continue buzzing, his wings beating more rapidly, upping the frequency to something only a dog could hear. The sound was certain to be agonizing at this range, and that was exactly the insect's plan. It would make him bleed....bleed from his ears, then his eyes, and within time the blood vessels in the canines very face would burst!

Sir Aiden watched his opponent carefully. If it began that noise again, then he would start howling to cover it. He stayed alert, ready to move if it charged at him or anything. The Growlithe wasn't taking any chances. The fire dog would be waiting, saving strength for his next attack while still trying to avoid harm. He wouldn't go down without a fight!

It would seem the dog was growing delusional in his old age. He waited for attacks would never come, and defended against things which had already failed. The only sound to be heard in the arena was the crackling of flames...as they consumed the body of the Ledyba.
Soon enough the insect would disappear, and all would return to darkness.

Sir Aiden paused for a second. He had turned towards the crackling sound and realized the battle was over. It was dark once more and so he just waited. He was ready for his next battle. What opponent would come forth this time? The Growlithe awaited patiently, knowing his opponent would come out eventually. What it would be, there was absolutely no way of telling.

As it had so many times before the darkness would swirl and recede, the shadows giving way to new terrain for the Growlithe to battle in. This time he'd find himself in a small marshy clearing, the ground thick and muddy with tall grass sticking out sporadically. About Ten feet off would be a large murky pond, and all around them would be tall oddly rooted trees.
In the distance the sound of Kricketot chirping could be heard...but these were not to be the Growlithe's opponent.
No, what he would face here would be far far worse...
">So...<" A sweet, cute female voice would call out from seemingly nowhere ">...I herd...<" Grasses would sway in the wind, bulrushes began to rustle ">....that u liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiek....<" The water of the pond would begin to ripple as something rose to it's surface, breaching violently and sailing through the air ">....MUDKIPS!...<" The notable Pokemon would cry as water slid off her deep blue skin.
With a harsh impact she would land amidst the mud, spraying it about.
Her eyes would begin to twinkle at the sight of Aiden, a broad smile appearing upon her face ">OMFG! A PUPPY!<" The Mudkip would declare, swiftly beginning to bounce about as she neared the Fire-Type and began to circle ">So so so! I herd u liek Mudkips! So do ya? Do ya do ya do ya?? Do you liiiiiiiek em!?<"
">Lolz! DO A BARREL ROLL!<" The Water-Type would abruptly exclaim, tossing herself sideways into Sir Aiden. By definition it was something of a Tackle...though likely the least expected one in history!

Sir Aiden glanced around as the background changed. At first when he heard the sounds of the Kicketot, he relaxed. Maybe this was going to be another easy battle. Then he heard a faint voice that grew louder until he could hear it quite clearly. Then something emerged from the pond.. At first he wasn't sure what was going to emerge. He shouldn't have been surprised by the creature that arose but he was surprised at it's happy but strange personality. What was wrong with her....At first he said nothing and simply stared at her while strong resisting the urge to tilt his head and just look at her funny. And then she lunged forward. Well maybe it hadn't been a purposeful attack... but he still reacted. He aimed to swerve to the left and then his maw came open to Bite onto his opponent and just toss her away...

(15 - 3) + (10 - 10) = 12 DMG
Mudkip HP: 7
Sir Aiden's teeth would sink easily into the soft damp flesh of the Mudkip, the Pokemon's cold blood filling his mouth before her subsequent toss. Due either to her relatively light weight, or the aerodynamics of her design, the Water-Type would sail surprisingly far after being thrown, almost immediately doing a barrel roll.
About midway through her flight, the Mudkip would be forced into the realization that she was headed straight for a rather large and point outcropping of stones. A fact which prompted her to cross her little arms and narrow her beady black eyes ">One does not simply rock into Mordor!<"
These words would be followed rather promptly by the Water-Type face planting into the rocks, accompanied by a loud SPLAT before the various stones began to tip over.
When the dust cleared it would reveal the still form of the Mudkip, blood pooling beneath her. For a moment it seems as if the Mudkip were dead, or at least defeated...until that lipless mouth opened and uttered the words ">Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down...<" Her tail would twitch ">...never gonna run arooound and desert you!<" Her eyes would flicker, and in an instant the Mudkip was on her feet, doing a rather peculiar dance ">Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbyyyyye! Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you!<" As she screamed the last line she would rise onto her hind legs briefly, thrusting her arms into the air and giving a cry of ">Wuuuu!<"
Falling to her feet, the Mudkip would shake herself briefly ">Lolz! U call that an attack? This R attack!<" She called loudly, taking two running steps forward...and then promptly tripping over the first stone in her path.
For a moment the Mudkip would lay there glaring at the rock...then abruptly hug it, a broad smile appearing upon her slimy features ">I HAZ ROCK!<"
