All that information that spewed out of Regina's mouth just confused the poor girl. She nodded intently, acting as if she knew what she had been saying - it was better than asking a million questions that may take too long to answer. They needed to stay on their toes! Get ready for those aliens! Whether they were little green men, strange cows, or even whales. Oooh.
"Some of them seem to be eyeing the castle thing," Amy mentioned to Regina and Jocelin. "That cop guy (Gilbert) seems kind of intent on going there..." Amy herself wasn't so certain. Shouldn't they get an invitation first? "What do you guys think?"
She knew that she had been speaking to her two new bffs, but it was hard to not peek around at the other teens and adults around them, to see what their reaction was to this possible migration away from this spot.

Felix rolled his eyes at Callum’s retort. “I could easily use the same argument. How do you know you’re dead when you’ve never been dead before?” He shifted his weight from one foot to the other. “You really shouldn’t assume that you’re dead. There are a myriad of other possibilities to consider first.” As Felix crossed his arms and examined his surroundings once more, he added as an afterthought, “One being that we may have somehow been transported to space…on a rainbow road.”

"No one is dead," said Marienrode as soon as she'd heard those rumors begin; it was right after the strange, basso sound echoed three times. She looked down at Sheila, and said, "It will be all right. No one will be making a study of eschatology from our fate." Something was certainly coming, or colliding with something else. She had no intention of allowing it to get to any of the children if she could. The young, mouse-like woman who approached them got a warm smile as the white-haired teacher adjusted her glasses. She nodded to the young man ( Joshua) who asked her if she'd heard that. "Yes. It sounded similar to--" Marienrode paused. "Well, I'm not entirely certain of what I would compare it to. In this instance." Gilbert gave instructions to move, and she looked towards what seemed to be the closest castle. It gave an appearance of high spires, the towers--barely a thin line against the backdrop of stars--a rosy pink. It seemed safer to head that way, of course. "Please move in an orderly fashion in this direction," she said, pointing after Gilbert. To the younger girl at her side, she smiled a little more. "Well, do you think we should mosey towards the lead of this congregation or the rear?"

Natalia let out a sound of frustration and tugged at her long poofy brown hair. And stamped her foot. People were still determined to go towards that damned castle. Despite her warnings. They were just as bull-headed as she was.
Fine then
She'd tag along just to see them all get eaten. Then she'd point and laugh and say 'I told you so!'
It didn't occur to her that by tagging along she'd end up eaten too if there really was a dragon... But no doubt she'd stay at the very back of the group, arms crossed in front of her, looking ever skeptical.

Layton stared with wide eyes at the teensy spark of a feud between her brother and the man (Felix). She tugged on her braids a bit before she finally tried to clear the air. At first it was very quiet, no one would hear it. "Pl-please let's all uhm just... uhm ..."
As the twosome continued to argue, Layton finally used her big girl voice. "U-UM. Th-this is my big brother Callum m-mister. And I'm Layton." She looked down through the entire speech, and sent Felix a wary glance every couple of seconds. She made it look like Felix was going to hit her.
Layton put her own hand in Callum's and said, "It's okay C-Callum! I'm alright being d-dead." She wasn't. "We'll just have to uhm ..."
A sudden flash crossed her mind. "Oh no!" she gushed, more to herself than anyone else. "Will Mr. Bibbles be okay?!" She was, of course, referring to her pet turtle that they owned. Layton's mother had never really liked it, and her father viewed it as an expense, so they would probably get rid of it since Layton wasn't around to protect it anymore. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.

Anna wasn't yet too far away when Ricky came to introduce himself. Still close enough to talk without it being awkward. "H'lo Ricky," she said. "I'm Anna." It was a brief greeting, as she was having a hard time standing still at this point. She was antsy. She wanted to move. Sitting in the same place, listening to the same theories and the same growing panic wasn't the best for one's mood. Nor was Mal, it seemed. Anna found more and more that the woman rubbed her completely the wrong way. She was on edge, that much was clear, and it was catching. Anna bit down hard on the inside of her lip to keep from saying something nasty. And oh she certainly did have ideas running through her mind. She mumbled a few ugly words to herself before turning back to Grant. "Well, thank you for your support," she said. "I d'no about anyone else, but I think just standing here is going to leave me in a s**t mood if I do it for much longer. And I mean, if we really are in space, who's gonna come looking for us? Maybe we just have to rescue ourselves."

Grant smiled as the girl (Cathleen) he had spotted moved over to join them. He didn't mind, it was scary being all alone, and he would rather be able to keep her company and ease that fear if he could. She seemed to think being closer to them would help her, and he was more than willing to help that way.
"Hello," he said to her gently, with a nod.
He looked at Mal next, shaking his head slowly. Nihilist? Well, he didn't know what that meant, but he was sure it was meant as nicely as possible.
"I understand where you're coming from. People in a group always seem to get picked off one by one, but I think if we were all called here, we all have something to do here. Alone or together, but if it makes you happier and if you feel safer doing your own thing, you could do that, too. Or you're welcome to stay with us."
He was doing his best to stay as perfectly calm as possible, and it didn't seem like it was that hard for him. As long as he kept that silver lining with him, that perpetual thought of a light at the end of the tunnel, then he could get through anything.
They could all get through it.
"I'm sorry, Anna. Let's move, then. There's no harm in walking, maybe, as long as we don't go near the edge? Looks like a... a long drop. I don't feel like I'm in space. You know the moon walk tape? They bounced."
As he spoke, he followed after the few steps Anna had taken, hoping Ricky would follow as well. Whether they were going to a castle or not hardly mattered, as they still looked very far off to him, and he hadn't actually heard the suggestions from outside the group to do so. If he had, though, he likely would have gone along with it.

" Pleased to meet you. I'm Ian." He smiled back, glad to have been of at least a little bit of help. " And I don't think anybody knows how we got here, or why for that matter. I know that I had just been listening to my music, and then it felt like I was falling, and then I was here. Wherever here is." It was a rather cool place, even with the weird sounds, and while he could understand why somepeople thought they might be dead, he didn't think so. It seemed more like they were in outer space than anywhere else. He heard Ms.Sierra-Preto say something about moving, and he sighed. Even off on an adventure he couldn't get away from orders from his teachers. " Sounds like we might be moving," he commented, with a chuckle. " though we can probably wait for you to get cleaned off first. It's not like we can get lost or anything. He wasn't really sure if it was a good idea or not, but they weren't going to figure out anything just standing here.

The Alabamian arched a brow. He wasn't sure what half the words Mal was using meant. What the hell was a nihilist? And anguish? What? Despite his uncertainties, he had a feeling she was continuing her suggestion they were all going to die. "Stop that, nobody's gonna be dying." He hoped. "Ain't there some kind of space station that may look for us?" Ricky suggested to Anna. He seemed to recall that there was some sort of space station, but the enormity of the solar system was not something that his mind fully processed. "Oh, wait, naw. That's just that Star Wars that has 'em. Maybe aliens would find us. Or maybe they already did. Maybe we got abducted!" He immediately became concerned that he was probed. He had a realization why he spent so little time thinking: thinking was scary. Instead of letting his worries get to him further, he decided to follow Grant as he led onwards. "Oh, Jesus, have mercy," he muttered. If he made it through this, he promised himself that he'd go to church every Sunday until he got bored.

"How can you say that, given the situation we're in? I mean, yes, I get the general concept of science fiction," she huffed, making sure to put the same emphasis on the word that Jocelin had. "but this is clearly anything but fiction. This is real. Really real. Something is going on here. Something brought us here. Something took us to space and that means anything is possible." For a moment, a mere moment, Regina Faith Hopewell looked almost as though she was going to stand there and hold her breath with her arms crossed over her chest until Jocelin either agreed with her or she fell over from lack of air, whichever happened to come first... But that moment didn't last long. After all, if she passed out she might miss something. She might miss seeing them. The aliens, of course... Reluctantly, she agreed with the girl who seemed so determined to thwart each and every one of the brilliant ideas she'd come up with. "... Joce is right. Wouldn't be all that great if this road started to disappate. Might want to head towards higher ground and that looks like the only real option we have." Then she was distracted by Amy's words. A cop? The aliens had kidnapped a cop? Clearly they had no sense of the justice system. They were going to be in deep s**t if they ever showed their faces... When, Reg, when.. "Bringing us here might have been our invitation, Amy. They might be trying to test our intelligence; see if we're smart enough to figure out how to get there and all..."

Mary would have replied but then she froze mid opening her mouth. Her head tilted to the side, eye unfocusing as she listened. It wasn't any known calling pattern of the gryphons, or of any of her roleplays. It was soft, almost silent, and yet Mary didn't find it threatening. More like, someone was signalling their arrival... or the group's arrival.
And then some idiot started yelling about moving to a castle. That didn't seem like the smartest idea to Mary; who knows how far away the castles were, and none of them could fly.
"I think they know we're here. We should wait to see what they are first..." she said softly, not really to either Raven or Darwin. She turned to look at Darwin for a moment.
"If those are squirrels, they're very big squirrels. I think its something... or a group of somethings much bigger than that. But they're definitely not gryphons," she said to him. Squirrels couldn't make that sound. They were entirely too high pitched.
Perhaps they were Greater Squirrels. Perhaps.

"Or there might not be aliens and we could all be having a mass hallucination. There's also the government. What if they're doing some experiment and we're not really in space but plugged into some computer system." She rolled her eyes at the idea but knew she'd probably just opened another can of worms with the way Regina seemed to be going on and on about aliens.
Standing on tip-toes for a moment she waved her arm. "Hey! Officer ... wait up a bit. We're coming too." She hoped that the cop (Gilbert) would wait for them. She wasn't always a people person but now she felt responsible for the two she'd stuck herself with.
Amy just seemed lost and Regina ... well she'd probably run right into something that could kill her because it would be neat or alien and she couldn't let the girl be that dumb.

"Ian." He smiled, but it was brief. Dirty hands were not the way to meet new people. "I have a feeling this is the best it's going to get for now." He spread his hands and dusted the rest of the dirt off-- he was still a bit streaky, but his fingers weren't caked. "Maybe we'll find water-- or something like it." He had clearly been in the middle of something involving mud... but Raphael didn't elaborate on what, or tell his own story. "I guess let's go.." As long as he had someone to talk to, Raphael was willing to trail along with the group toward... whatever.

Squirrels? Hm. These aliens must be pretty intense to be so many different animals at once. She was kind of hoping to meet one of them soon.
"Ye~eah!" Amy was a little excited to go see what these castle-things were, not even thinking about the possibility may lead to her death. For all she knew, the rainbow could disappear under everyone and they would fall forever.
Amy placed herself between Regina and Jocelin, locking arms with both girls. "Let's keep a lookout, just in case 'they' decide to say hello before we make it to their base." She said it pretty loud this time, certain that everyone would listen, and that everyone would move together as one big group (as if anyone would listen to her, though).
"I hope there's food in there...I'm getting a little hungry..."

Now see, that? That did not compute with Darwin. Why would hair deter people from talking to others? He didn’t let someone’s looks deter him from talking to them. He could understand if he was a Medusa and had snakes for hair or something, but bushy hair? Why would that stop someone from talking to him?
“ … do people have phobias of bushy hair?” That was the best explanation he could think of.
And then suddenly there was a sound. It was not some angry screeching monster or some other sound that automatically made Darwin think that the end was nigh, but it was still strange. Where was it coming from?
“ Could be mutant squirrels.” He said with a shudder. Then he brightened. “ Could be Palkia!”
Only Darwin would think that a Pokemon was talking to them in space.
“ I don’t think we can actually reach any of the castles, but we can at least follow the road to get closer to one. If we do reach one, best let someone else go in first.”
No, he was not going to be the first to walk into a potentially booby-trapped space castle, not even to try and impress a couple of girls; not that that thought had crossed his mind. No, he had been thinking that he wouldn't be the first into one of those castles even if Palkia lived there.
