"Oh is it?" Nihl nodded, only looking out toward the sea, "I suppose I never thought of it that way."
---
"I meant something for you." Grigori said with a small laugh, "And besides you daughter might be a bit disappointed with a sugar-free snack."
"Yes." Afsana agreed stubbornly, "I hate that poop."

"Think about it." Laci said turning back to look out at the sea. "It has to charm people, or some many writers wouldn't have written stories about the oceans and it's wonders, and song writers wouldn't have composed so many songs." She sighed and nodded her head. "Truly charming." ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa leaned into her husband's side. "We just forget to mention it's sugar free." She said with a giggle. Though she did wonder if she would find anything for herself. Not that she really needed anything. She had all she could want.

Nihl sighed heavily, "I guess so." He turned his head to face her, "So, what's on your mind?"
---
"You're evil." Grigori smiled. He adjusted the small girl on his hip and turned his attention to her, "So, kiddo, how's the week been?"

Laci turned and looked to the man next to her. "oh nothing much, too busy storing this memory away to replay later." She had a small smile. "You seem to be the one with alot on your mind." ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa laughed "I am simply the worst." Though she wanted to hear what the kid said. It was rather noisy in the town.

"Oh I do?" Nihl smiled, "Just thinking. You seem like you would enjoy the freedom of being here whenever you like."
---
"I want a brother. Tortor's always busy, and I don't have any friends at home." Afsana rested her head on her father's shoulder, "Can I have a brother?"
Grigori smiled, "I don't know, that's up to Mommy."

Laci laughed and nodded her head. Sand rubbing into her head. "I love it here. I would come back every day if I had the chance." She said with a sigh. "You have no idea how lucky you really are." ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa coughed. Well that was a bit unexpected. "Well sweetie, daddy and I would have to talk about that." Her eyes fixed on her husband's white ones. "It's a little bit difficult having another baby. How about we talk about it later hum?"

Nihl just shrugged, "You can always come back, you just need a good excuse."
---
"What are you talking about, hun? I love making babies." Grigori winked at his wife, much to her displeasure.
Afsana clapped, "Yay! A brother!"

Laci sighed. "My parents don't take excuses." She sat up and gently pulled her hand from his so she could wrap her arms around her legs and rest her chin on her knees. "I have to take care of my siblings. It's not that my parents are mean, it's just that they need help I can't just drop the responsibility they left me with. And they would never allow for me to take them here." She sighed and watched as a few seagulls sailed over the horizon. ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa stared daggers at her husband. It wasn't that she hadn't thought about having another baby. But she just didn't think they needed to have one so soon, after all they had the rest of their lives together to have babies. "But if we had another baby, you'd have to share all your sweets with him."

Nihl seemed a bit confused, "If they need you at home so desperately, why do they want - rather, what will they do when you're married?"
---
Afsana sighed an exasperated sigh, "No. You'd get him his own, duh." She hugged onto her daddy's neck and sniffled, "I want a little brother to play with me! All the kids at the parties suck!"

Laci sighed with a forlorn expression. "I don't think they really want me to marry, or they would have been pushing the issue. Witch they haven't been." Well not until she had come to the party last night. They now seemed dead set on making her the king's new best friend. ~ ~ ~ ~
This was clearly a losing battle. "Daddy and I will talk about it sweetie." Avarossa said soothingly. "Another baby is a big decision, and it's not like he would be able to play with you right away. He'd have to have a couple of years."

"Well," Nihl began again, "What do you think they would do if you did, say, fall in love and get married? Or maybe just get married, I know some people don't exactly marry for their own benefit. I also know how much fun that is. And I say that with as much general sarcasm as one can manage to stuff into a single line."
---
Afsana snorted, "Daddy's magic, he can make it grow up fast."
Grigori laughed, "That's not good for a baby, Afsana, it needs lots of time to grow. Just like you, you've had six years."
Afsana looked like tragedy had just stricken her, "But one month is like forever and now I have to wait six years for to play with the baby? This is poop!"
Grigori laughed again, "Why don't we just talk about it later? Hm? Or maybe uncle Nihl, if you ask him nicely, will let us have a dog in the palace, huh?"
Afsana cheered like nothing was wrong in the world, "A puppy!" She squeaked at an unimaginable volume.

"I am not sure. Assuming I ever marry. They would just let me go." Laci said turning her head, chin still on her knees. "It's not like they can hold me against my will." She was guessing he was mentioning his own marriages. And if she remembered right from the night before, they were a sore spot from him. Needless to say, Laci opted not to comment. ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa sighed, relieved slightly their daughter was going to push the issue of another child. Though maybe one day Afsana would have a brother or sister to play with. But not in the next month like she was hoping. "I puppy sounds like a wonderful play mate."

Nihl shrugged, "Just something to think about I suppose." He returned to facing the ocean and sighed, there wasn't much to talk about if he wasn't going to start up a conversation about potential marriage partners. Awesome. Though he was curious if she had anyone else in mind- she didn't seem to, and her father, well. Nihl was oblivious to some things, but he wasn't stupid. He was the king and any father would want that for his daughter. Especially a nice king. But instead of bringing it up, Nihl allowed the two to sit there in awkward silence.
---
"Can we get a puppy today?" Afsana's face lit up at the idea of Mommy saying yes. Mommy never said yes.
Grigori shrugged, "Well, it's easier to get forgiveness than permission. Besides, Nihl loves everything."

Bored with the silence Laci sighed and fell back into the sand. "Where do you think all this sand comes from?" She said picking up a handful and letting it run out of her hand grains at a time. Silently she wondered if he already had a new wife picked out. He was a king, women had to be throwing their selves at him all the time. Because for some odd reason, she was starting to hope they could spend more time together, and she guessed if he got a new wife. That would never happen. ~ ~ ~ ~
Avarossa sighed. "Sure." If it kept her daughter off the baby subject, then she was all for it. After all, babies were something for parents to talk about, not kids. "But you better tell Nihl that you got it."

Nihl shrugged, "Dunno. But that's what's on the sea floor as well." He smiled, and gave her an odd look, "Is something else on your mind, per chance? You seem...troubled."
---
"I tell him!" Afsana squeaked. It was about time she had someone to play with. Attorra was fun, but he was much older and he didn't like to fight for pretend, he liked to fight for real. As for all of the other kids, well, they sucked. That was that. Also, many of the adults were nice, but that didn't make any of them fun.
