Dares eyes also showed signs of anger, but he was not a stupid man. He would observe for a moment before he attacked. He decided to wait and see how she defended herself before he did anything. If she could handle it herself, another person wouldn't try it if she was ever alone.
The demon chuckled. "Is your little witch getting upset, Dare? Is she stupid? Does she actually think a witch will ever be able to defeat a demon with white magic?"
Dare raised an eyebrow. "I believe those questions should be addressed to my wife. Any insults will be dealt with by her first...and me second. She can handle herself a lot better than most white witchs. Coven quality at the least." He toasted her with his glass, appearing unconcerned. But he watched them both with the eyes of a predator, and missed nothing.

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy closed her eyes and thought of what to do about this man who thought he could make fun of her. She remembered her roses around her and started to command them to wrap around the demon, sticking him with the thorns.
"No one bad mouths me and gets away with it,"Lucy warned, obviously not going to take this demon's abuse.

The demon raised an eyebrow at her, then looked incredulously at Dare.
"She's, uh...never fought a demon, has she?" The entire bar laughed. Even Dare was a bit amused, but he didn't show it. He was more amused by the fact that she was going to be driven by anger, in his opinion, to do something she wouldn't do otherwise...and that was hurt this man.

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy's face reddened as she heard all the laughing and tears began to spring to her eyes. She looked over to Dare and wanted him to comfort her, though she didn't know why.
"I don't know what I am doing, I have never fought a demon before. Quite honestly, I haven't had to fight anything before,"Lucy said softly.

Dare smiled reassuringly at her. "Don't feel bad, princess. You're extremely skilled. Probably better in the kitchen than this bozo anyway. He's had to buy all his familiars from me since he was practically a child. He's hopeless, but..." He met the demon's eyes. "I bet a well broken familiar, only gently used, that with only a weeks preparation she could beat you in a fight."

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy's eyes widened and she looked at Dare in disbelief, like he had just said the sky was purple.
"Ummm....are you sure it is wise to bet such a thing? I mean, I don't know if a week of training is going to help me,"Lucy admitted. She didn't want to lose, not when Dare seemed to be counting on her.

Without looking at her, he smiled widely at the angry demon. "Lucy, believe me. You will win."
The demon grinned. "I'll take your deal, Balidareptas. And you'll regret your little girlfriend making you bet against me."

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy looked at the demon and shivered, before walking over to stand next to Dare.
"Alright, if you are so sure, I will put my trust in you. I just don't know if I am going to be as good as you think I am going to be. I appreciate the trust you have in me though,"Lucy spoke softly.

He nodded, raising an eyebrow at the demon as he laughed. "You seem pretty confident, Kainal. Would you bet your soul?"
Kainal looked a bit indecisive, and the demons around him laughed.
"You afraid of the little white witch, Kainal? Sheesh. Didn't know you were that weak!"
A myriad of other comments were thrown out by the laughing demons, prompting him to do something no demon did lightly...wager his soul.
"Yes. I'll do it. If the little witch can defeat me, I'll give you my soul, Dare."

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy's eyes widened in shock, looking at Dare as if she couldn't believe he had just done that.
"Are you sure about this, taking his soul if he loses to me? I mean, that seems a little harsh, isn't it? I suppose I cannot stop this, since I am sure I would just get killed if I didn't allow you to train me,"Lucy stated.

Dare raised an eyebrow at the demon. "Oh no, he knows better than to kill my wife, don't you? I doubt Kainal has forgotten the last time he pissed me off. And make no mistake...If someone were to kill Lucy, who I have claimed as wife...They would wish dearly I'd stolen their soul and forced their worse nightmares upon them, because anything I do to them...would be worse than anything they've imagined before."
And that's saying something, for a demon.

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy didn't know why, but she reached out and took Dare's hand within her own.
"You would really do that for me, you would do anything to keep me safe? Why, I still do not get why you have chosen me? I don't think I am anything that special,"Lucy spoke.

"Maybe he's whipped. It's been about...what, ten thousand years since you've gotten laid, Dare?"
Dare raised an eyebrow in the speaker's direction. "Do you honestly think that I have waited ten thousand years to do that with the first woman I see? Sheesh, man. You're more desperate than I am. Lucy is special."
He turned to Lucy, brushing the backs of his fingers against her cheek. "I have chosen you because you are the best any man could hope to have. When I saw someone so perfect...well, how could I be expected to resist?"

Lucinda Lilyton- The Innocent White Witch Lucy closed her eyes as she felt him caress her cheek, a soft smile coming to her lips. She could feel her heart fluttering in her chest, as if it wanted to fly free.
"Thank you, I am glad that you think I am so special, someone worth being with. Can we go home now, I don't think I want to hear anything else from this piece of garbage,"Lucy told him.

He smiled as the other demon growled. "Yes, you're right. The company appears to be lacking tonight." He waved over the familiar staff and smirked. "Tell Dali that I loved the food, but that the people allowed entrance...should be weeded out more carefully."
He held out his hand for Lucy's as he smirked at Kainal. Turning his back to the demon rudely, he raised an eyebrow. "Shall we go, Princess?"
