Blackrose_Knight I hope you do go and get it figured out. I hope it isn't anything serious. Actually, I got back a few hours ago (and can't get to sleep still.) The visit today was just to get the confusion with my prescription cleared up. It's out of my hands now, the nurse made a note to pass to the doctor. Either the order will be at my pharmacy tomorrow or it won't. If it is, I can go visit my folks next week. If not, I am going to have the worst few days over the next week, and I'm not budging from my spot here in the dungeon unless it's absolutely needed. Stopping my meds suddenly actually triggers migraines worse than if they're left alone. I found this out the hard way once by accident. On the 9th I go back in to see how I'm doing, and possibly discuss going to the hospital if things have gotten bad.

Have you had any MRI's lately?

I'll be bringing up my insomnia again then as well. I've slept only about three hours since Monday, and oddly enough, don't really feel ready to drop. That honestly scares me because I know it will jump up and slap me with no notice. It's a good thing I'm no longer driving sweatdrop

I watch too many dramas......... sweatdrop Have you taken any bio-chem classes yet? If you're interested I could link you to information about my specific medications. To put it simply, 1) Insomnia is not an uncommon side effect of my preventative medication. 2) My body tends to react poorly to almost any medication, but will adapt over time usually. Unfortunately with this one, it went through more of a bell curve over time. It started bad, was good for several months, and now, well...

Blackrose_Knight No I havn't, but I have seen all the episodes of ER and most of House lol. I am sorry though. rofl Eh, I'll live. The problem with migraines is that they aren't really very well understood. There are a wide variety of mechanisms in the brain that can cause them, and usually it's easier to go through medications by process of elimination. "a" works, "b" helps, "c" makes things worse, and so on. Eventually, with some luck, you find effective treatment. Honestly, I should probably try to look into a day job. It might help fix the insomnia issue, which is a migraine trigger, but the medications I take for migraines can cause insomnia... (feedback loop)

Seriously, I'm laughing at the combination of the last two posts here Rosie. While I agree it's a great way to celebrate (puts a new spin on "White Christmas", don't it?)
