"FINALLY." Robert roared, storming forward and waiting all of one second before he was ready to explode out of this tiny, rotting shell and back into his body again. Oh, the things he would pick up and/or loom over when he was back home. His eyes glimmered with joy at the thought, even as he blurted out the phrase.

"Deus ex Machina."

He was sure he'd added a 'GODDAMNIT' at the end, there, but the word never came - his lips had stopped responding to him, as did everything else. The world simply went black, but the thought was there. In his head. And that's what counts.

Before was glad to finally be allowed back into his real body. Sure he wasn't the best looking or the tallest or the most suave. But being in this tiny thing was really, really, really (and did I say REALLY?) ******** hard xAx When everyone began uttering the phrase, Before quickly followed suit, surprisingly managing not to lisp or mispronounce the words "Deus Ex Machina."

And then the tiny female imp slumped off.

Jerry gave a sigh of relief as the instructions were given for how to get OUT of this terrible place. He watched as one by one his fellows all "shut down", shifting anxiously before setting his resolve.

That was enough Princess Pretty Puss for now.

"Deux Ex Machina," He managed pointedly, and the tiny Cat Golem crumpled as the Ex-Music-Teacher returned to the land of the slightly-saner-than-this-place.

This time, he was going last. Jordan watched the other golems deactivate around him, interested; when the others had gone, he sighed quietly (interesting that his lungs still worked the way he expected them to, even in a zombie body), and said aloud, "Deus ex Machina."

He didn't really care for this world but the denizens could have been a lot worse. He'd half assed expected there to be rampant cannibalism and murder left and right but it was so low key up until...Other things happened to break out that they seemed to not get caught up in from what he saw. Not that he went running into the fray though maybe he should have just to collect extra Data? Jude sighed a bit at an opportunity missed while Yom just let out a soft happy sound at his disappointment.

Not that she wished him ill but it was just one of those many moments where it just seemed something she could bask in. For the most part Jude ignored the fact that Yom was silent during the entire ordeal, at this point it was considered a blessing.

"Deus Ex Machina." He uttered quietly and finally he was gone.

Jeremy also lingered behind out of curiousity, wanting to see what happened to the golems as they were logged off. One by one his comrades left, and by long the "Sloth Demoness" had gotten bored of it all. He just wanted out of this place now. Terrible place, why it existed he had no idea; he just understood more than ever now that it needed to be destroyed.

"Deus Ex Machina." He said quickly.

[Whoops, forgot to post here first. OTL]

One by one, the golems went offline; her own was starting to fall apart... At least, that was how it felt. She was looking forward to the 'homework', whatever it was - as long as she didn't have to do it in this world. Staring at her own extra, neon green appendages for one last time, she smirked, "Deus Ex Machina."

It would be good to be extra appendages-free.

Click, click. Click, click.

Caelius continued to fiddle with the Haunted Pen in his hand - though god knows how long it had been in his golem's pocket through his Halloween absence - before impatiently snapping it in half. The decrepit nature of the Floresctival tree was a shitty setting at best, and his mood was not improving either.

Just when the Hunter was seriously considering whether or not redecorating the tree was an option, his knight in shining armour finally appeared. Sans the knight part, sans the shining armour really, and the fact that Caelius (though sometimes it was questionable) really did not swing that way. And that said knight was a she.

"Aria." The Death Hunter sounded both annoyed and smug at the same time. "I'm surprised you made it here. I thought for a second that your... condition would have gotten the better of you." His eyes flickered, distasteful, towards her form, on how she slightly limped, and made no gesture to hide the scrutiny towards her weapon. "The Council has made this clear already. They do not trust you. They have relieved you from your next mission. Consider it an... honorary discharge."

A simple, wordless gesture of the middle finger raised to face Caelius was Aria's initial response before she leaned against the Floresctival tree, her skin looking quite pale against her black outfit. The vibrant accessory that gave it color did little more than make her look even more sickly, moreso after he delivered his news.

"So this is how it is, then." Her words were clipped, a matter-of-fact statement. "This is how I am to be rewarded? You were doing a fine job of babysitting the newbies. How is it my fault that I have a cover to maintain here, oh career guidance counselor?" Aria sneered, straightening up.

"It is all too bad that I have information regarding their next move. But since I'm discharged..." She trailed off, waving her hand vaguely. "I suppose it's not important, nor is information about the Soul Harvester." Aria shrugged. "I guess that old thing isn't important anymore."

One hand balled into a fist as Caelius turned around to face the other Hunter.

"You"- the fist clenched and relaxed, just slightly as the Death Hunter took a second to take a deeper breath. -"You do not have the authority to assume anything, and I was not the one who put you under suspension. It is a miracle that the Council has not taken further action, considering how far off the reservation you have go-"

- Something rustled in the sad remains of the Floresctival foliage behind, just enough for Caelius to pause and narrow his eyes. The darkness flashed a brilliant blue arc, the source of the rustling gave a small shriek and dissipated into particles of Fear. A harmless wandering minipet.

"There is no further room for discussion Aria. If you have a complaint, talk to the Council, as you will still need to submit your current report. I have no talk in this, keep in mind. In fact, I have been asked to oversee a part of the 'Harvester' situation ..." His voice grew quiet, just a bare whisper, "But I might just have too much on my hands to notice everything. Especially what goes on in Halloween."

He didn't wait for the other Hunter to reply before his form - golem - flickered, and was gone.

One eyebrow lifted as Caelius spoke, her expression neutral as he lectured her. Her expression did not change when Caelius struck out, eliminating a potential danger. His next words caused a small smile to curve around her lips, one that grew with each passing word.

"No, I think it is you who presumes much, Caelius. The Council has done nothing more than to feed the creatures that lurk here. The world cannot be saved by staying in one spot, even you of all people should know that. How do you expect me to do my duty when the Council keeps me chained to the front yard? I shun the collar you seem to adore; you know that without me many would be unable to do anything but bark at the danger that approaches them. Need I remind you which of us has been more successful in creating weapons?"

It did not matter that Caelius was long gone by the time she had spoken. She closed her eyes, hand resting on the small, inconspicuous form of her weapon. "Yeah," she said quietly, one finger tracing a circle on it idly. "I know. We need to keep our wits about ourselves, don't we?" Aria closed her eyes, and in a moment she too was gone.
