Entering the area he had been in before, he bowed to the elderly woman before opening his mouth, and asking her a question. ''Kassandra... I finished the four tasks the Queen sent me on in order to gain the rank of Adept, however, it seems she is busy and cannot be disturbed at the moment, so I would like to ask you if you could grant me the rank, instead. You don't have to... but I don't want to disturb the queen any further... I've been bothering her involving training and missions alot lately... and I know it's becoming out of my place." He wasn't sure if she'd give him the rank, but he had to try. If she did not, then he would be... annoyed, though all that really meant was he'd just end up camping Elizabeth's doorstep until she granted him an audience. Either way, he was going to get the rank, so he hoped the woman would understand this, and simply give it to him now.

Kassandra sniffed the air, there was a revolting scent in the air. Then she heard Xander's voice and turned around. "Boy! You reek of kitty litter! Don't you have the decency to bathe before you rank up! GO! Out of my sight until you are ridden of that revolting scent!"

((I'm assuming I still have the bonuses of Kassandra teaching me...))
Kronos picked up his book and opened it once more. He read through the arcane skills a bit, looking for one that would be useful in a battle. Soon enough, he found one that he could use to attack people.

The skill he wanted to learn was called lightning bolt. He began charging energy into his arms. Soon enough, he could feel his arms crackling in red and black lightning. He let the energy out at a target. It hit the target with a loud bang, and then there was nothing where the target was.

While learning offensive skills, Kronos decided to move on to the next offensive skill. It was called Aether Barrage. It was yet another long ranged mage attack.

Kronos summoned his energy forth. He could feel it collecting just beneath the pores of his skin. He then fired it all out in spike form, launching several spikes at a target and impaling it. The spikes eventually dissipated, but the holes were still there.

Kronos decided to switch from his mage skills for a change. He had learned a great amount of them, and wanted to learn some of his dreadnought skills, and opened the book he had on those skills.

The first skill he saw was spears of the damned. It looked simple enough. Kronos hardened his arms into eight foot long spears, and stabbed them both into a target, He then reverted his arms back to normal.

Kronos decided to take a short break from all of the training, and sat against a wall. He went over all of the skills he had learned in such a short time. He resolved that in a little bit, he would go over and ask Kassandra for a rank up test, shortly after the other mage was done with his business.

Luckily for him, he still had the bucket of water he was using to clean the palace. Picking it up from the ground, he kept his eyes -- his dull, empty eyes -- on the woman as he dumped the bucket over his head. ''There. I'm clean. I was only dirty because I've been spending the last fifteen hours cleaning the dirty clothes of everyone and their grandmother. I'm sorry if I wanted to come here and get the rank before passing out on my bed. I'm sorry if I've been doing the country a service for over twenty hours straight, from killing wurms, creatures that endangered our people to keeping this place remotely sanitary. I'm sorry if I'm not clean myself, but the rest of the place is, so I find it pretty fair. Now, can I have the rank or what? Or should I just sit outside of the Queen's door for three weeks until she answers me? Because every day I wait is another day I will stop growing in strength. Do you really want to weaken the military force over a matter of SMELL?" As the woman before him could probably tell, he was upset. How... petty of her, to deny him over something so stupid, so... frustrating! He hated people like her... and the inferior gender they belonged to.

 GhostAdam Alvarez, Dog of WarAfter being there a long while, he was sure that she wouldn't come. He had been there not just for a bit but for 2 days. He stood up, though quietly and obviously ignored like the ghost he was, and turned into his gas form, as he seeped out of the wooden walls through teh atomic holes it had, and went right through just like a ghost. The name stood up for itself, since he was almost seemingly invisible to public. He exited the place as he took solid form outside with all his atomic prowess of physics, and started walking with his mind racing towards the Palace again. (Exit---> wink Be human. Be human. Kassandra sneered at the stupid boy, what nerve. As much as she wanted to completely fry him, she could not deny the fact that the boy did everything necessary to rank up. "....Fine. I hereby promote you to Adept rank, now you have the choice to become one of the Royal Guards for the city, giving you access to a few files you could not have had before."
[Basically, I'm giving you the chance to get an 100 energy boost.]

"Sure. I've already been guarding my bedroom in the palace for the last three years... if that counts. I guess this'll be a little more intense, but I don't mind..." He could see the almost enraged expression upon the woman's face, and at this, he couldn't help but hold back a laugh. Despite being exactly what she would not want him to be, he got his way. And that was worth all of the struggle.

((You only need to read the last paragraph. The rest is me just learning what skills I need to learn.)) Kronos decided to get all of the elemental skills he needed to learn out of the way. He decided to start with fire. Since he was quite adapt in magic right now, it only took him a second to comjure a ball of fire. [1/1 fireball learned] Kronos through the ball of fire he had into the air. He then cast a flame shield over himself. The shield caused the falling ball of flame to bounce harmlessly off of the shield. [1/1 flame shield learned] Kronos focused his energy into his palm. Suddenly, it burst into a dagger of fire. He made the dagger fly and hit a dummy. There was a loud thud as the dagger hit the dummy, and then dissipated. [1/1 flame dagger learned] Kronos decided to learn fire stream next. It was basically an upgraded version of fire ball. He put his arm out, and let the flames fly. Instantly, he torched one target. He moved his arm and a second target was torched as well. [1/1 flame stream learned] After Kronos had finished learning the flame skills he wanted to learn, he looked at Kassandra. The dreadnought walked up to the woman and said, "Excuse me, I believe I am ready for a promotion now. I have been training fairly hard for a while now, and believe my training would progress even further as an Adept." He said in his always polite yet emotionless voice. His eyes were dead as well, not giving off any sign of emotion. The only way somebody could probably get emotion out of him is if they made him mad. But that rarely happened, and no doubt unless somebody did it intentionally, it probably never would.

 After applying to enter the service of Luray, Jace had waited eagerly for his first instructions. Now was finally the time when he was able to fulfill his first task, which was to report to this training facility. He entered the dimly lit building and looked around with a quick glance. "Hello? Is anyone here? Jace Ward reporting for duty." The mechanist walked out into the center of the large open room and hoped for a response.

Walking into the Training Zone, the fairly largely built man looked at the new mechanist boy. Finally he had something to do, Luray hardly ever got any mechanist, they all went to Pronta for some reason. "Hey, you over there! If you'd like to learn, follow me to the workshop and I'll teach you all there is to know before you rank up." He said with a meek grin.

The Arcanist woman looked at Kronos, it seemed he finished with his independent training. "If you wish to rank up, then I suggest that you preform two D Ranked missions and one C Ranked. You have a variety of missions to choose from made by Conner Cintere. Once you are done, come back here and I will promote you."

Jace nearly jumped out of his boots when a voice came from seemingly nowhere and addressed him as a mechanist. He liked the sound of workshop so he followed the strange voice out the door and saw the nearby workshop with the door open. Jace ran into the much more well illuminated workshop hoping to learn something.

Sense Evil

This allows the Paladin to sense those of ill intent, as well as demons and their kin, such as succubi, incubi, and several others of demon blood. It by emanating the good aura of the paladin, although the waves do not echo back, but make a "disturbance" that corrupts the waves of good, acting as a beacon. This also backfires, as it attracts all the things it detects, and makes the paladin very obvious to them.
Clarity

Limits: Must have eyes uncovered: Must know 'Sense Evil'
The Paladin's eyes glow with holy light turning them completely bright white. Their eyes act temporarily as a way of tracking evil beings and taint across the land. When using this ability Paladins see evil beings give off an aura of shadow or dark based energy which is usually invisible to the human eye.
Aura of Hope
Rank: E
Limits: The Paladin must have experience in battle. Killing one monster ,NPC or RCP in RP is required for this skill.
Skill description: The Paladin's anti-thesis to the Aura of Despair. An uplifting feeling comes from the very core of those around the Paladin and gives them courage. Paladins usually activate this skill before going into battle with allies or when consoling allies for their losses. It does not affect the Paladin or affect the Shadowknight's Aura of Despair in any way the two ususally just exist separately.
It costs E ranked energy to activate and E ranked energy to deactivate but remains passive once activated.
March of the Crusader
Rank: E
Limits: Cannot be used twice in a row. 5 minute (post) cooldown. The Paladin must not show cowardice during a fight where they plan to use this skill. They may not attempt a retreat or use underhanded tactics.
Skill description: As a Paladin marches forward his every step becomes imbued with holy energy. Their footsteps literally glow where they walk. Walking over the ground where a Paladin has used this skill causes extreme nausea to evil beings and while it doesn't damage them it does debilitate them. It means that most evil creatures will find it incredibly difficult to gain ground on a Paladin.
Those of a higher rank than the Paladin will find it easier however
Hand of Illumination

An incredibly simple, staple, skill of the Paladins. It allows them to create holy light from one, or both hands, to light up dark places and call for help. The light from their hands cannot be used offensively. It can be shot off their hands and used to write messages in the sky and such.
It is mainly used in large scale battles or in darkness and is fairly useless outside of those two avenues.
Holy Light

The basic skill of the paladin class this is where it all begins for them. They slash at you and the slash will fuse with a beam of holy light, this is where the vampire would usually scream "MY EYES!" This does the exact same damage a normal slash would onto a vampire but they will have trouble healing it. Same applies for those with demons, the undead, necromancers, lycans and it will burn normal people's eyes if they stare directly into it. The slash has to hit. Can also be done with the spear or the shield, yes you may throw the shield, spear or sword....
Blessing : Righteous Blade

Limits: Requires the weapon to have a sheath or holster.
When unsheathing the blade or removing it from its holster light courses through it seeing the last time it was used for battle. Most Paladins (should) promote peace over violence and only draw their weapons when it is truly necessary. Weapons that are rarely drawn for battle gain an automatic bonus to their offensive power and makes it do holy damage to enemies.
This blessing is ususally applied to all Paladin weapons and so Paladins try and avoid drawing their swords if at all possible.
The blessing is permanant and cannot be corrupted away or gotten rid of making stolen Paladin weapons often awkward to use.
Steadfastness

The Paladin fills their feet with holy energy. They do this to hold ground against even the toughest hits and most powerful attacks as the holy energy in their feet keeps them stuck firmly to the ground so that they cannot move.
Using this against faster opponents can be. Suicidal
Vow of Truth
Rank: D
Limits:The Paladin in question must have taken a vow to speak only the truth. Breaking this vow stops the Paladin from using this skill. The person in question must have taken the vow to tell the truth by choice rather than torture or forcefullness.
Description The Paladin and the person the Paladin is talking to take a vow that they will only speak the truth to one another. This activates a holy bond between the person and the Paladin for a half hour where they find it literally impossible to lie to one another. Sometimes when this is being used the worst truths come out. Some Paladins may use this irresponsibly yet still not have the ability taken away from them. <******** YEAH)
