Riley was watching the game with measured interest. She had resumed her seat behind the booth, but it was turned towards the field this time. Therefore, when one of the new students was suddenly swallowed by a plant, she slumped slightly. When Christof had shown her the plants, they'd looked harmless.. maybe a bite or two, but -
Ah, he'd been saved. How very handy, the helpfulness of others. She hadn't moved an inch, until she watched one of the more intriguing students snatched up by another plant.
It was time for her to step in.
With a small nod to the students still milling the booth, she mumbled a quick 'Excuse me', and walked down to the field, avoiding certain areas. She stopped just in front of the plant, crossed her arms, and glowered at it.
Spit him out.
The plant stuck it's tongue out at her petulantly.
One of Riley's tentacles snapped forward, wrapping around the vine's stem and squeezing hard.
Spit him out, or I will claw him from your dead carcass.
Sparrow was freed as he was spit out from the choking plant, and Riley bent down onto her knees to help him up.
So sorry about that. I'll get you a towel - er, a clean one this time.

Still nothing. Everyone else seemed to be having better luck. This time, Cady tried to follow her nose - it had worked for her before.
Eyes closed, she moved to D5.

"Thanks Willow," Joachim replied as he got up and dusted himself off, he wasn't sure if he really wanted to keep looking or just sit on the sidelines with Muka. A loud squeak sounded from his pocket reminding him the Merel and Phorum were still pretty upset. Digging them out of his pockets after receiving a few nips of annoyance from Merel he set them both on his shoulder hoping that he wouldn't run into another man eating plant.
He moved to a different area of the field and cringed when he heard another man eating plant get a student.
((Joachim is moving to E1 and eep sorry I think I was typing this at the same time as you posted))

Willow beamed, "Glad I could help. I don't think Yaus would appreciate it if you were eaten." She giggled slightly. Oh they were moving again.
She moved to A1 "Maybe we can find something interesting besides man eating plants." She said pausing to watch Riley stare a plant into spitting someone out. "Ohhh.... cool!"

Dragged most of the way into the ridiculous plant, all Sparrow could think of was this is going to ruin my coat. He could feel wet slime coating his leg and most of his side, which made him shudder in utter disgust. Gloved fingers grappled at the grass in an attempt to yank himself free, but unfortunately it seemed as if his efforts were proving futile. Just as he thought he was about to have lost to a man-eating plant, however, there was a shudder, a gargle, and Sparrow found himself quite abruptly spat out onto the ground.
Coughing, he pushed himself up, hearing a voice inside of his head. It was the illithid from earlier, Riley.
"Ah," said Sparrow, and allowed her to assist him, staggering slightly. He turned a mildly apologetic look in her direction, glancing down at his bedraggled coat with a slightly distressed expression. "Thank you for your help. I'm afraid, er...wasn't planning on getting that physical in the fitness club," he added with a small laugh, shaking his head. "And a towel would be much appreciated, thank you."

Cat considered his options, eying the square diagonal to him with some suspicion. He had already been attacked once, and while he was (seemingly) rewarded for his success, he wasn't sure that he wanted it to happen again.
Carefully, he remained on his spot, observing as another man eating plant sprung up and began to eat another person.
Both plants were slain rather quickly, but...the idea of those things wrapping their leaves around him for a ribbony snack was as unappealing as the thought of running into that rabid little Lepus again.
((Cat stays put on E5.))

Watching the others take to the field for their hunt was a rather amusing spectacle for Jericho. One of the visiting students managed to find the patchwork pretty quickly actually, while it seemed another had the misfortune of getting snagged up by a plant. He wasn't the only one either, as another boy was snatched up as well.
He would have gone to threaten to incinerate the plants, but Riley and one of the other participants had already taken care of that business. So he just stayed back and continued to watch the little show here.
Someone still had to man the booth after all.

The plant recoiled from Riley, muttering to itself as it let the student go, looking thoroughly displeased at it's lack of snack before crawling away forlornly. It seemed Sparrow was free to continue his search! After he freshened up a bit... Meanwhile, as everyone frantically searched, something rushed past Aislin's feet. Just as it seemed to have caught her attention, it LUNGED with a freshly disgruntled snarl! QUICK! Roll 1D6! If Even, you give the lepus a good smack! If odds, it scampers away... Danny - B1 - No sign of Lepus! Aislin - C4 - THERE SHE BLOWS! A LEPUS!Cat - E5 - Still nothing! Sparrow - SAVED BY RILEY go clean yourself up and keep looking! Cady - D5 - Nothingness! Joachim - E1 - Still Nothing since the last time someone looked! Willow - A1 - Still nothing since last time someone looked! PLEASE WAIT TO SEE IF THE LEPUS IS CAUGHT!

Once it seemed Sparrow was on his feet once more, Riley released him and took a step back. Her eyes crescented just slightly. Well, we like to keep you on your toes over here. It will come in handy some day. She hedged at the idea of mentioning those kinds of days to the new students - would it be better to warn them of how dangerous Amityville field trips were, or better to let them find out for themselves? Certainly in Sparrow's case, she wasn't about to scare him off.
Though, if a boil-eating plant didn't do the job itself..
She nodded sharply and headed back to the booth, setting her hand on Jericho's arm as she bent down to grab one of the rare dry towels under the counter.
When she used his arm to stand back up, her head tilted towards him just slightly. Her eyes lifted up to him, as a private thought entered his mind. It took all of a second, and she was off again, ready to offer Sparrow the towel.

The banshee nearly fell flat on her face as the snarling little ball of pure rage surged from the brush straight at her. She had only a moment to yelp before she hefted the barbel-mace, squeezed her eyes shut, and made a wild swing, hard enough that she spun around on one heel.
Shouldn't have closed her eyes, honestly. The weight of the barbel spun her around full circle as it swished harmlessly through the air.

Oh nice, the other lepus had been found. Before he could see if the thing could be struck down, Jericho glance dover towards Riley as she went to fetch some towels. He remained still for her as she grabbed them, before glancing back out to new Reaper briefly.
Nodding, he turned back around in the case others came by and whatnot.

The lepus had become wary of those spinning weights-on-rope, it would seem! He dodged like a rabbit, attempting to bite the ghost-ghoul's leg (to no avail) before scampering away!
EVERYONE QUICK! LOOK AROUND IT CAN'T HAVE GONE FAR!
