Special. Pushing aside the clutter in her mind, Ace made room for that and the face, a pretty face too. At twenty she would have killed for looks like that, but now approaching forty, she really didn’t give a damn anymore. There were more important things to worry about in life, like how to extinguish the burning girl, as Special had referred to it as a she. Until then the vaguely human shape had been genderless.
As for plans to put her out...
“Unless you or I happen to have a water tower hidden in our garters, not a single clue.”
If she had been a magician, that would have been a different story. Magic fires require magic solutions, and this one definitely wasn’t natural.

Victor, after a nice 10 minute power nap, broke through the ice wall, ignoring hadore.
"Dï!" Victor nearly shouted, punching into the ice wall with a fiery fist colored black. Making a nice hole for himself after four punches, he ungracefully walked through it, to see Emma light like a Roman candle.
"Need any help kid?"Victor asked.
Not one of the most patient people in the world, he didn't even bother to let her answer. He kneeled near her, and whispered, "Giovené."
The fires simmered down a bit, but did not leave.
".....That's odd. Any one want to explain why she's on fire?"

(spent the last few days trying to be literate. I had this idea that balgen and ashtara would be old friends ever since the third part of the original)
Balgen stabbed yet another robot before he noticed that Emma was on fire, a strange malevolent aura hung around her as well. He gasped, he recognized this aura and display anywhere. Balgen stepped up to Emma, paying no heed to the daunting flames, and said "Ashtara, come out of there this instant."

Desirae jerked in an about face like they were being watched. "Is something the matter Major?" The Lieutenant asked. "It was just my imagination..." she answered; "Lets get down to business. I need to regroup, resupply and collect information." she ordered. "Since when has Aunt Desirae ever been so forceful?" Elle whispered to Tina. "Something must be bothering her to make her act like this. Like something bad has just happened." Tina answered.
"Right, I'll have a few members of my arms department take care of the gear you may need. In the mean time come with me to the briefing room. I have some information you might like to hear." The Lieutenant gave his reply and lead the way while the trio followed. "There has been some combat happening at a robot owned and run factory. Some magicians have been raiding it for days but, none of them seem to be coming back out." he pointed to a map and the location wasn't very far from the base. "We have reports confirming the manufacturing of inter dimensional transportation devices. This may be one of the markets the MCP's have with the Jesters." Desirae slammed her hands on the table; "You mean they are working together?! I know I saw Jesters attack everyone when they first appeared!" she shouted. "That was twenty years ago, Major Bell. When you went into hiding a lot has changed. The MCP's learned the Jesters language and set up business deals. But I'm sure one end is going get back stabbed sooner or later. But for now lets concentrate on destroying and occupying that area."
Desirae was still angry at this news; "Are you ordering me around?" she taunted. Elle stepped in and hugged her aunt from behind; "Calm down! It pains me to see you trying to take on the world like this! We don't know anymore than you do but we are here to help!" Desirae was shocked at how well her nieces knew her. "Y-you two could tell I wasn't myself?" she asked looking at her family. "It's not hard when we've lived with you almost our whole lives!" Tina replied with a sweet smile. "So, what's been bothering you so badly?" Elle asked in a demanding tone sitting down like a parent about scold her child. "Lets just get this mission done first. It'll be one less factory supporting both the Jesters and the MCP's." Desirae quickly replied dodging the question. "Yes Ma'am!" Elle and Tina both shouted and saluted.

Emma was knocked out cold, for the girl had utilized too much magic. Normaly, this would not be a problem, but Emma was not a magic user, her body was unacustomed to the stress, and the powers bestowed upon her by Ashtara were fairly large.
The fire served mostly as a defense mechanism, because the few robots who had dared approach the sleeping girl were reduced to flaming chunks of molten metal.
Ashtara was dissapointed. Made of magic herself she had grosly underestimated the effort it would take for a novice to pull off such a stunt. It had been so long since she walked the earth....
So she had decided to give Emma's brain a nudge. Before Balgen spoke, things went about like this:
Pay attention to the special images created to display it. They were such a pain to type out.
((none of this happened, so you know, this is only in her mind. xD ))
In the depths of Emma's mind, she lied sleeping. A young weary girl, her tired face framed by her short brown locks.
Thin strands of lavander thread shot down and wrapped themselves around her wrists.
Ashtara, hovering far above her, yanked them up.
Nothing.
The sleeping Emma could be shot and she wouldn't wake.
The demoness hissed in disdain, and contemplated whether or not she should just break the pathetic bonds that stopped her from taking full controll of Emma's body and mind. It would be so easy, and then she would be a skin walker, and then.....and then after a short while she would be bored out of her mind.
Truth was, Ashtara, as a ancient demon, was in it for the amusement more than anything.
A familiar voice spoke into Emma's ears. Ashtara grinned. Well, well....
No harm in putting on a show again eh?
((and this then proceeded to happen))
The ground shook and a fierce rumble of lightning flashed through the sky, piercing it's normal shade and turning it velvet purple, the colour of kings. Gold and silver stars littered the new sky, twinkling in random arrays.
As Emma's fire dimmed down to a flicker, all the shadows cast by the surrouning objects lengthened and fused into one, connecting above Emma. The shadows cast upon the ground by our heroes proceeded to do the same.
The shadow rose up. It morphed into a slender female form, completely dark and hovering. Two giant wings tore through and Ashtara stood there, in all her royal might.
Her voice was scary and rumbling when she spoke: "Who dares summon Ashtara the Endless?" with scorn on her regal face.
She surveyed the men and women gathered towards her then chuckled, her voice returning to its more musical state. "Oh, Balgen. Sup?"

Um...
Uh...
I'm Judy... Judy was trapped in a room covered in ice because of Hadore's spell. And to add to his misfortune he was stuck with three robots.
For a moment neither the robots nor Bun-Bun moved. They just stared, analyzing their big and savage looking opponents before raising lazer guns.
'Lazers... why does it have to be Lazers?'
Judy held on tight to Bun-Bun as he proceeded to duck and parry lazers that were being fired at him, bun-Bun jumped into the air and landed on a robot while stabbing it with it's claw. The second toy had it's gun pointed to Bun'Bun's head, only to have the robot arm chopped off and headbutted to the floor. Bun-bun immediently proceeded to slash the robot into two. The last robot was easily finished by a horizontal cut from Bun-Bun's deadly claw.
'Nice job bun! You screwed these bots over huh?'
Judy hopped off the giant bunny monster's back as they both walked towards one of the ice walls. 'Uh Bun... smash this open please? Vector, hurry up and follow us!' Vector was Viktor's Robot's new name, it nodded as it hurriedly rushed to follow Judy as Bun-Bun smashed the wall open.
To see a demon being summoned.
'W-woah! What the heck just happened here?'

Odd? No that wasn’t the correct word at all. Intriguing, perhaps. But not odd, certainly not. What was odd was the man, clearly some sort of magic user by his style of dress, and the dragon hovering at his shoulder asking such questions. He had clearly attempted to do something; however there was only a slight improvement and the girl was still on fire. Surely he must have learned something from his spell being partially ineffectual. Such laziness, such incompetence!
“Had we known, I think we would have done something by now.” Ace bit back, unable to keep her lip from curling. This was an outrage! Three people, competent in their respective arts (though the third skeptical), couldn’t put out a fire. Had any of her superiors been notified of this, she would have been demoted all the way down to Private! But they were all dead so the point was moot. It was both a blessing and a curse, she supposed. At one point she would have had a whole research team to consult on this matter instead of this hack, and a woman seeming to be barely out of her teens.
But as they say, three is company. Maybe a fourth could actually get something done. A man dressed in red, though young, carried himself with an air she had only seen the eldest of seasoned veterans. Confident and sure he strode over to the still burning girl and spoke, not an incantation, but a rather casual summons. Not that she had seen one before, but Ace had always assumed that exorcisms were generally more…flashy.
Unable to see any further use for herself, other than tended the injured which there seemed to be none, Ace found a piece of stray metal position next to a rock, sat and propped her leg up. The brace was beginning to pinch again.
Halfway through adjusting the gears, the earth below gave an almighty lurch one that would have sent Ace to the ground had she not forced her cane into the dirt. Overheard the sky was shifting, turning a highly unnatural shade of purple. Darkness was gathering over the girl, forming into a womanly but gargoyle-esque shape.
“Who dares summon Ashtara, the Endless?! ….Oh, Balgen. ‘Sup?”
Ace closed her eyes, hoping that the words ringing in her ears would somehow change. But no such luck. She had clearly chosen the wrong battle to investigate.
Out of the corner of her eye, a boy with (she was sure she was hallucinating) a possessed rabbit asked, in more or less words, the question sitting in her throat.
“W-whoa! What just happened here?
“You and me too, kid. We’re all wondering.” Ace replied, her voice strained as she lifted herself to her feet.
“Let’s go find out now shall we?”
Turning to the girl, Special, she called, “You coming?”, and without waiting stalked towards the group gathered about the shadowy vestige.

Balgen couldn't help but chuckle at Ashtara "Oh, Ashtara. I was about to put a demon repressor on that little girl you're possessing, if i hadn't known it was you." Balgen said as he looked at the the now passed out Emma "I knew you were more comfortable with female bodies, but I didn't know you were into little girls." Balgen chuckled again.

3nodding Good everyone is gathering. rolleyes I will be in control of Gigantor until he is...well not moving anymore! blaugh Get ready!
The giant mechanical man marched toward the group who had seemed to defeat most of the squadron of low class bots. With a few turns of certain gears a very large cannon whirred from his back and took aim at the cluster of people. Electric snaps and pops could be heard while it charged up preparing to fire a massive blast for massive damage.
talk2hand Lets make this a good fight though, no one hit take downs, lets make it something for movies.

((Roger that! XD Pffft, I think Ace's cane-cannon is a little weaker than previous incarnations. wink Hmmmm....But I wonder if I should wait for others to post...I seem to be doing that a lot.))

Special nodded at Ace as she was asked to join her. She was definitely concerned about Emma. From what she could gather from the spectacle that had just occurred before her, Emma was possessed by a demon named Ashtara. That would certainly explain the fire and all. Gathering as much confidence as possible, she asked Ashtara, "What did you do to Emma? Is she okay?" Before she could wait for an answer, she noticed movement off to the side. Her eyes opened wide as she spotted a giant robot which appeared to be charging a laser for an attack. "Everyone, watch out!" yelled Special as she attempted to escape the robot's cross-hairs, grabbing Ace who was nearby and pulling her aside.
Was gonna leave, now I have to stay! You have taken my breath away!

Laura strutted confidentially up to the doors of the factory. Before she could reach them, a menacing man in a metal suit stepped in her way. "Get out of my way or I'll blast you into a thousand little pieces!" warned Laura. She was not fully sure that this man was with the robots or not, since he appeared to be human, although the suit disguised this fact.
"You should be the one to turn back, wizard," said Tiberius as he activated his laser swords.
Something snapped inside of Laura. If any other wizards had been around, they would have known exactly what Tiberius had done wrong: he had called her a wizard. "Wizard?!? Do I look like an old bearded man?!? I am a god damn sorceress and you will treat me with the respect I deserve!" raged Laura. White flames began to flicker in her eyes as she called upon her magic.
Tiberius smirked to himself. This woman seemed arrogant and would most likely prove overconfident with her fighting style. However, Tiberius's eye could detect the large amount of magical energy at her disposal, so he would still have to be careful. He readied his laser swords, deciding to let Laura make the first move so as to better analyze how she fought. Normally he would have gone in for a quick kill, but Tiberius sensed that it wouldn't be so easy with this one.

"Waaah! Goddamnit!" Ace cursed violently as she was suddenly yanked to the side. Caught off-guard, she had stumbled and brought all of her weight down on her bad leg which instantly crumpled beneath her.
"Special, what the he-"
She stopped mid-sentence as a great shadow loomed over the group. A gigantic humanoid robot with canons trained on all of them.
Frantically, Ace searched the area for her cane and found it only several paces away, just out of arm's reach. Cursing again she brought herself up on one knee and crawled until finally she grasped the lacquered wood. Just beneath the handle were two triggers. Pressing the first opened the bottom of the cane to reveal a canon, much smaller, but not dissimilar to the one the robot was armed with. Training it on the opposing canon Ace fired a shot. If they were lucky it would disable that one canon and bide time for the others to join in the fight.
