Turning from the portal and moving back up the stairs Sammy watched as LW and Carry picked away across the room. "STOP PANSY ASSING AND RUN BEFORE YOU BOTH END UP DEAD!" It wasn't the most polite way to encourage them, but they already lost one girl they didn't need to loose more. She gave a curt nod to Calder he didn't fare much better then the two out there still, but he had made it finally.

It's the end of the world as we know it~
Her vision was blurred by blood and tears. Her body hurt and didn't want to respond very well. This was it, wasn't it? She'd given it her best. But it didn't feel like her best. The she-wolf slipped and leaned against the wall trying on her last breaths to make it out.

Israfel grunted as the barried shoved him into a wall, pressing his wings to his back. Jack, by the end of this he wouldn't have any feathers left! The sounds greating him as the barrier fell were not good. And as things begane to fall around them? Yeah, he wasn't sticking around. Skittering and moving around the fallen object, the siren followed the path of a few other students, on occasion, narrowly missing a chunk of the building hitting him. Maybe there was some luck to be so small.
No matter if it was dumb luck or size attributed, he made it to the end. To safety.
For how long however, remained to be seen.

(( LW NOOOOOOOO! crying ))
Carthusia thought she had done the right thing. She had shielded Belladonna through most of it, but she couldn't do a Jacking thing for LW. No matter how much leaning, moving, praying she did, when the trio finally got to the stairs, they were but a duo. Panicked, Carry turned back to try and find the werewolf. She had to be here, she had to be! Red eyes and a face streaming with tears jerked left and right, but found no werewolf. What had happened?! Where did she go wrong? Pride's shoulders shook with rage, hate, anger, self-loathing, pain, pity, sadness... she tried to keep it all together, she tried to be strong for everyone else. She had to, she had to do it for them, the ones that had stood by her no matter what had happened.
And now she'd failed them.
Dropping to her knees, Carry pounded her bloodied fists against the crumbling floor at the top of the stairs. She should have been the one to take the fall. She should have taken the hits for everyone in the room. For Gabrian, for Emily, for Ren, for LW... all of them. She wanted to take on the hurt, the blood, and the pain, but she couldn't. The demoness wept and pounded her fists again and again into the pavement of the floor. Where had they gone? Could she go there and save them? Nothing but choked sobs escaped Pride now. She had nothing left, and despite all the power she supposedly had, she was still as helpless as a newborn. Her hands, now bruised and even more bloody from the force of nearly punching the floor, gripped her tangled hair. Her words came out in cracked, low wails as she stood up to lean heavily against the staircase railing. "Couldn't... why couldn't I... Jack it all... all my fault... shouldn't have come..."
She shook her head, as if telling herself 'no, no, no, no' over and over again, limping numbly down the stairs. She passed several other students, but her eyes were in a haze. Dirt and blood clung to her face after the tears started to run, but she didn't care anymore. Even her mark was gone. What else was there to do? "....have to find them... have to bring them back..." came another sob. No, she had to have some sort of bloody revenge, even in the end. She had to do something to make it up to the fallen ones. Clenching a bloody fist, her shoulders still shaking, she pressed forward in a numb and murderous fog.

Sammy couldn't watch, when it finally happened she could only turn away and avert her eyes from what happened to LW what ever fate it was it wasn't any gentler then Emily, and no one deserved what happened to either of them. Stumbling back into the stairwell she watched as Carry came stumbling in. Alone. That fact alone was enough to stab at Sammy's heart. The Demoness had tried to help LW, and now she was stumbling about in a haze of hate and sorrow. Before Carry could get any farther towards the portal Sammy moved in tugging the demon into a hug.
"We'll find them, last time this happened I woke up in a hospital tent, if the school really gives a damn, she'll be okay, so will Emily." She hoped. "We'll find that reaper, and I'll rip his spine out before I let him hurt another student."
Raising a hand she wiped a smudge of blood and tears off Carry's cheek. "We can't stay here, we need to go."

So now their attacker was gone and the place was falling apart... Yeah. This was just great. Could they even make it out of here alive? He wondered, while hurrying along. He moved quick, but not quick enough that he couldn't see where he was going or watch out for what might land on him. The last thing he needed was to die from being hit by the ceiling, or toilet... or something...

Another one of their group had fallen. Tears began to roll down Whisper's cheeks. It didn't matter if she had only met the girl recently. Their comrades weren't returning like they should be. In Halloween they would just re-appear and be fine, maybe taking a trip to nurse Cricket's office. It was like the island was keeping them for itself, taking everyone's friends and hording them all to itself. She couldn't help but wonder if anyone else from the other groups had even made it, or if hers had gotten lucky.
Whisper did her best to make it through the falling debris, but she couldn't help but feel utter guilt for not helping the fallen more. She felt useless. She felt worthless. Whisper had failed to protect those who needed it, and for that she could never forgive herself.

Smacking away some more debris, the black dog growled. As much as he liked exploring, he didn't like being hit or even killed by the things he explored. Just about everyone else had either died or made it out and yet, he was still here trying to get out. Jack damn it all!

Whisper seemed to do just fine with getting down the stairs, but some others weren't. "Come on guys! We can get through this...we can.."
She had to stop. She felt like she was lying to them to try to make the difficult times seem less harsh. Could she handle it herself if more were to die? Whisper wasn't sure. She just couldn't think that far ahead. This was getting too much to handle. Where the hell were the teachers? Why weren't they helping? How were they supposed to do this on their own?
"Please...everyone just make it through. Please..." There was nothing else she could offer. Just her hope, her good thoughts. She hoped that would be enough.

It was cowardly, but Belladonna just couldn't watch. When the last falling debris took LW she turned her head at the last second, her mouth opened as she tried to breath it all in. Something was wrong in her mind, because it wasn't registering that they were gone. Ren, LW, Sir Gabrian... They weren't gone, they were just taking another route. That was it. That had to be it. That was the only conceivable reason they were no longer with them.
And then the protection of Carry was gone, leaving Belladonna down three stairs before she realized she had stopped. "NO!" She shouted, turning and grabbing the girl's arm, pulling her up and down the stairs. "We keep moving." This was not mothering, this was not kind, this was laced with some rage deep within that was bubbling and not yet reached the surface because Belladonna couldn't deal with it right now. Right now they had to run and get out of there and when they weren't being attacked she would scream and kick something and probably cry her jacking eyes out. "We go now." For a moment she towered over the girl, her pink eyes blazing nearly red. "We will fight for them and we will not let them be gone forever. We will get revenge. C'mon Pride."
And with that she descended the stairs, now her turn to protect Carry as she kept her close with one hand vice-gripped around the Pride demoness's.

Tybalt cursed again when he came to a dead end. He was so sure he was heading the right way, but apparently, he was wrong.
"Right, let's try again..." He muttered; grumbling when more debris bounced off of his head.

This wasn't good... he could feel his remaining energy draining. What he had left wasn't much. Much more of this, and he would be joining the others in the eternal sleep... Which made him wonder... could ghosts even die twice? And if they did, did they come back again, or die permanently?
.....
This was a question better left unanswered...

Finally! Finally he could see the stairs!
Moving quickly the remainder of the way, the black dog hurried down the stairs; shuddering a little when the building shook again. It probably wasn't going to hold for much longer before it came crumbling down on them... Which meant they needed to get out and get out now! But how? They were going down, not up... and last he checked, they were already underground. Did this mean they would be buried alive? He hoped not, but it wasn't like they could go back either.
Feeling his way along the wall and making his way down the last flight of stairs, Tybalt carefully made his way into the portal room.

Carthusia was numb, but she felt the hug that an undead had given her, and felt the brush of fingers against her cheek. Her face was smeared with blood, dirt and tears, but she no longer had the strength to care. Pride barely mustered a smile and a nod to Sammy, offering a little bit of a hug in return. Overwhelming guilt is all she felt now, and was tugged by the other redhead she tried to save - Belladonna. Blindly she was drug down the stairs, offered the hope of revenge. If what Sammy said was correct, the other students would be alright. They would rematerialize somewhere, she hoped. They would be somewhere, unharmed, warm in a bed and resting, yes. And in the meantime, all Carry wanted was to wrap her fingers around the neck of the next cloak she found.
