Quint Blitzbane Quint, who was decending the ladder, laughed upon hearing that Gatz' images were safe. "So, you're not worried about the island?" She asked with raillery, ending her decent. Gatz pasued for a long moment before answering the woman's question. "... Quint, you do realize that by 'remote location', I mean I sent the data to somewhere very, very far away from here, right?" he asked. "That would tend to indicate the opposite of what you just assumed." "Yeah Rio, Rake's set up shop at the volcano for the moment. I'm getting a big daemonic signiture from there. Don't ask me why hellspawn invest so much of themsselves into something that might explode at any moment--as fun as it sounds, it really isn't all that practical." He pointed to the blip on the screen. "As for the daemon's physical body, it's currently moving down the main strip. Nothing's blown up just yet, so for all I know it's shopping... or searching." The head of security looked back at Quint and winked. "Take it for herself? Nah... Daemons tend to be old school. Also, technology is based on an ordered system of cause and effect, and demons are beings closely tied to pure chaos. Most the time it's like trying to mix oil and water..." He rolled his eyes and let out a deep sigh. "... Which is one reason Bleu's computer hates me so much," he finished. "But yeah, Rake might attempt a pre-emptive strike against the base, so could be wise to prepare a counter-attack here, just in case. Considering how powerful she is and that she has a certain goal in mind, though, there's also a good she doesn't really see this place as a threat and/or a point of interest..." He shrugged helplessly. "--It's a tough call."

Rioushu pulled up a chair and sat down, thinking about his own next move very carefully. "One, don't call me Rio, you're going to confuse me on who you're talking about. And two, when you say Rake's set up shop, do you mean she put up a mana seal on it? Because I can take it off, with minimal chance of the volcano erupting."
Rioushu sighed as he thought the rest of the plan out. "Also, if it comes to a showdown at the volcano, I'm going to need you guys to have an escape plan ready, for if worse come worst, I might just make the volcano erupt on my own, redirecting whatever lava I can to Rake. And don't worry, I've already planned on how to completely destroy her, or at the very least, make it so Rake poses no threat to anything bigger than a grasshopper. You might have to recover my unconcious body from the from the base of the volcano though. My plan doesn't take into account how much of Rake's energy I can absorb before she realizes what I'm doing." Rioushu explained, looking a bit confused at his own plan. "Way too many chance factors..."

"Well since this is a Daemon we're talking about, may I make a suggestion..?" Gatz began.
"... Don't bother blowing the volcano," he said, waving his hand through the air to dimiss the idea. "Not unless you plan on tickling Rake, anyways. You'd be causing more damage to the island than it'd really be worth. Aonice gets upset when that sort of thing happens."

Smirking at Gatz' retort, Quint spoke.
"So we have two possibilities..." She counted on her fingers, "One: Rake goes after the volcano, in which case we'd have to defend it." Another finger came up, "Or, she comes here, which could actually prove less dangerous overall, with your data in a save place." She concluded, obivously talking to Gatz.
Sighing, "Sometimes, I really hate choice." She began, "The simple process of trying to grade one objective over another almost dooms someone to failure, or at least hesitation."
Tapping her foot, she leaned mentally towards the volcano, which seemed to be much more dangerous, but there was always that annoying 'what if' factor.
"But if there's one thing I've seen with people in general, it's that they work better in groups. So what do you guys think? I'm thinking the volcano.." She looked unsure of herself, and because of that upset as well.

Rioushu shook his head to disagree with Gatz, looking a bit deep in thought. "Fortunately for us, that's not quite true in Rake's case. While the one currently in control of the body is a Daemon, the body itself is that of a vampire, which melts like most everything else. Besides, I'm only erupting the volcano as a last resort, before that, I'm simply going to absorb all the mana Rake is gathering from the island. While this body certianly can't hold all of the mana being absorbed, I can reform it into attacks. Not even a Daemon can withstand it's own attacks." Rioushu said, then put his hand to his head. "But I gotta get rid of this dark energy soon, it's already having adverse effects on this body..."

"Ah, mana. About that..." Gatz said, coughing slightly. He seemed hesitant to admit something. "I, uh, took the initiative to cut all the ley lines/Dragon Lines connecting the island. The idea is to prevent the energies the Daemon likes to draw upon from flowing here. Of course, there'll be a mild side-effect--" He smiled weakly. "--But I'm pretty sure that Bleu will be able to fix it with her computer later, before things get too bad. I also played around with the served lines a bit... which is hopefully also something either I or Bleu can fix in time."
Gatz stracthed his head and laughed, a bit embarassed.
"Honestly, I didn't entirely think things out when I did that stuff. But then again, I rarely think things out anyways."
"--Risidual demonic energy, you say?" the entity asked, suddenly changing the subject. He stretched a hand out towards Rio's body. "Hold still for a second. Otherwise, this might hurt a little--or a lot."

Rioushu backed away from Gatz while putting his hands up in defensive stance. "No touching mort...Gatz. Listen, as long as I can use this energy in a destructive manner soon, I'll be fine, and since I plan on going to the volcano and beating the ever loving crap out of Rake's body to where it has no practical use, things will be fine. And as for severing the lines, you really should've just reversed the flow, it would drain Rake of her energy while feeding the island. And don't worry, once Rake leaves, everything should repair itself, not neccasarily quickly, but it will happen." Rioushu assured then, then scratched his head. "Well, that's odd, I could've sworn I was in the caverghk! Ahem, so sorry about that, had a bit too much amenesia dust this morning." Rioushu said, his eyes shifting side to side.

"Actually, it'd more or less just drain Rake and kill the island," Gatz corrected, "and the Daemon's probably smart enough to stop trying to draw enegry once it first feels the power flow reverse, conserving it's strength internally. The best we could have hoped for was prevent Rake from drawing in more power, which I''ve accomplished."
"Besides, what I wound up doing to the lines is gonna be a whole hell of a lot worse than just 'killing the island'..." The entity cocked his head to the side and looked at his friend.
"... Rio, how would you react if I told you there was a massive Rasengan slowly starting to form around the entire island?" he asked quietly.

Rioushu once again found himself disagreeing with Gatz. "No see, first you would reverse the flow, and THEN cut the lines, for after Rake stops drawing energy, it would have to fix the lines and then return the flow to normal just to draw energy, an abhorent amount of energy would be required to do both." Rioushu explained.
When Gatz mention the Rasengan slowly foming, Rioushu raised an eyebrow, not quite sure how that was possible. He then thought about it and raised three fingers. "I'd escape from the island as soon as possible, for you see there's going to be three problems with that. One, if it's forming around the entire island, it's destructive force will be more than anyone and everyone on the island combined could handle, and I mean everyone who's ever existed in any form on this island. Two, the chakra control required for that kind of attack is unmatched, even if I trained my entire life to learn that one move, I still wouldn't have enough control to make one that big, and if you screw up, either it will be a massive waste of energy, or everyone on the island, including Rake, dies instantly, not before being sent through the island though. And finally, I cannot stop it if it becomes complete, for reasons I'd rather not discuss, chakra usage isn't an option for me at the moment." Rioushu said, looking a bit wary of why Gatz had asked him of such a thing.

"Your argument is a bit flawwed..." Gatz muttered to himself. He quickly perked up and smiled at Rio. "... Then I guess there's no need to worry about it! Besides, chakra usually comes from a single person, so there's no way I'd use that--esspecially when those dragon lines IT kept going on about would do the job much more easily. Particularly if somebody cut them loose, then stuck them back together in a Rasengan-shaped pattern." The entity held out his hand and wiggled it back and forth.
"... Kind of like what you had planned with the whole throwing-back-ITs-mana-thing, but on a bigger scale. Fortunately Bleu can fix a lot of stuff with that computer of hers, so she can probably fix things before the island blows. Or afterwards, if it comes to that. I still expect that you guys will be able to take out Rake yourselves, so the impromtu self-destruct probably won't be necessary."

Quint's eyes widened, alarmed by the possible explosion of the island.
"Woah." She repeated a few times, "Hold on. This isn't my Starman cup."
Quint snickered, trying to lighten the mood. "Ah...I'm sorry" She spoke, wiping an imaginary tear from her eye, "Stress, for some reason, makes me a bit more comical."
Clearing her throat, "Seriously, I'm all for killing this thing, there's nothing I'd like better." Quint quickly retracted that statement, adding, "Well, I could think of a few things that would be better, but Rake is certainly high on the list."
Frantically now, as if every second was as important as they actually were, Quint racked her mind, trying to find some resolution for the island.
"Do we actually know anything about Rake, other than it wants that sword?" She paused, now finding a lead, "Or for that case, do we know anything about the sword it wants to find? Maybe that will lead to a way to help our 'friend' move out."

Gatz shook his head, dismissing the suggestion.
"From the look of it, Rake knows exactly where the sword is and what it needs to do to obtain it. I think that it requires some sort of seal or ritual to be completed. Meanwhile, it's just killing time by being a pain in the a**." The entity smiled at his his friends and and let out a short laugh.
"--I know, I know. That sounds a lot like me, right? I suppose that's not really surprizing, seeing as demons and I are closely related on many levels. As for 'moving out'..." He sighed and shrugged his head. "... Most demons are possessive and territorial. Quint, I'm sure you know a little bit about this from hanging out with Morrigan all the time. Once they latch onto something and claim it as 'theirs' they simply won't let go."
Suddenly Gatz thought of something. He turned to Rio and smiled.
"Say... as a ninja, how'd you like a chance to direct the largest, most powerful Rasengan ever to be created? I think that with a little ingenity, our 'self-destruct' might be a bit more useful than oringally hoped..."

Rioushu was barely listening to Gatz, thinking of his own ways to take Rake down, when he heard the suggestion Gatz made. His eye twitched and a nervous look came upon his face, thinking of an excuse. He regained his composure as he thought of something to say. "Well, while I would love to, there's an initial problem. The ability to control the largest, most powerful Rasengan is beyond me. No one ninja in existance could do that, not to mention even if I could, there'd be no way for me to handle that much power, I would probably need to be face to face with Rake to utilize it against her."

"It's not really going to be 'control' so much as 'aim away from the island and it's inhabitants'," he told his friend. "I think you'll be able to handle that much. As for getting a face to face with Rake, that shouldn't be too hard. Now to avoid cratering the place you just have to aim up a little, which shoud be easy as the bugger flies..."

"I suppose.." Quint said in response to Gatz' analysis on demons and their kind, "I guess there wouldn't be any repossesors in some dimensions, as a lot demons are a lot more prone to action when their things are threatened.."
Fixing her hair, Quint now commented on the newest plan, "Well...that's both good and bad. Good in the fact that the island isn't going to be blowing up, but bad since Rioushu is going to be the one that's at the helm of a possibly sudden catastrophe." She laughed, then giving Rioushu a playful stick of her tongue.
"Still, even with Rioushu's chance of royally screwing up," Even though Quint was just teasing with Rioushu, she just loved laying on the pressure, "This approach has another upside since this Rasengan isn't using anyone's energy, which means this is a free, massivly powerful, attack."
