Annie sighed slightly at his lack of enthusiasm but walked over towards the garden beds anyway. There were so many different flowers in it that it was quite a large place. "You can walk right through it, a bit like the butterfly cage at the zoo."

Mephiles glanced at the flowerbeds. Of course, they only reminded him of a time he destroyed a planet full of flowers. Oh well.

Holding my last breath,☾ Annie leaned down to the flower where the praying mantis was perched, waiting for prey. "See. Look. A praying mantis is a hunter...he doesn't think that anyone can get to him....Like you..." As she spoke quietly a small white butterfly came along and landed on the flower. Before it even had a chance to get away, the praying mantis had struck and attacked it, holding on tightly.

"Come on, I'll show you the fallen tree," she said heading over to a stump in the ground. To some it was probably a complete watse of space but it told a story to Annie. She pointed at the rings in the centre of the stump. "Each line represents a year that the tree stood when it was alive. If you count them you can find out.."
