Still glaring, Itachi snatched the cigarette from the ashtray. "It wasn't the only reason, whelp." He took a teasing drag from it, blowing it back out at Sasuke.

"Since you've already made a claim about blowing smoke at someone meaning attraction, you really should stop doing it at me." Sasuke took the cigarette back, scowling at it as if unsure if he actually still wanted it after it had been in Itachi's mouth.

Itachi shrugged, deciding not to comment. "Look, I know who killed Rei-sama. I just don't have all the proof yet. And certainly not enough that you'll be able to convict him with. That's why I need your... help." He rubbed at his cheek again, area purpling and tender from Sasuke's punch. If he didn't need Sasuke, he would have fired one right back.

"Orochimaru, right?" Sasuke glanced sidelong at him. "And why should I help you? The way things are going right now, you'll be convicted, since he's obviously framing you."

"I know you hate me, but do you honestly want him to get away with it? Plus he'll evade whatever else charges that made them already bug his office. I can make him suffer if you look into what I want you to, I have friends in prison. Which would you rather see, me or Orochimaru suffer?"

Sasuke hesitated, glancing away. He wasn't exactly fond of Itachi, but the things Orochimaru had done to him... Yeah, he'd make a deal with the devil if it meant that the b*****d would pay. "...Orochimaru."

Itachi grabbed the magazine on the table and took out a pen from his pocket. "I know the names and numbers of Rei-sama's guards. He would have told them to leave, and generally why. Its rare that he does that sort of thing, and its always when either I or Sasori visit. Or when he's screwing Orochimaru." He grimiced, "not a pretty picture, that."

Sasuke didn't want to think of Orochimaru and screwing, in any context. "Alright. I'll have them questioned. You know Orochimaru probably bribed them, though, right? It's possible that they'll tell us you were visiting."

"I doubt it. They were loyal to Rei-sama, and no amount of money would keep their addictions going for long. Now they're out of work, and it's Orochimaru's fault. If they don't work out..." Itachi bit his lip, thinking. If they didn't work out, then maybe he could get Orochimaru for something else. He vaguely remembered Rei-sama telling him where the snake dumped the bodies of the slaves he broke. "I can come up with something different, though I'd like to see him go down for just this." As shady as it was, sex slaves went for top dollar, if word got out that he gave away one of his clients, no one would buy from him.

"Yeah," Sasuke responded, standing and disappearing into the kitchen, opening his fridge and pulling out the only things inside, a bottle of vodka and a smaller bottle of soda. He opened a cabinet and took out a cup. "There was a leash that attached to it."

Closing his eyes, he enjoyed another pull from his clove, imagining ways of torturing Orochimaru. "Oi, if you could look the other way, I could sell him to someone who'd make him wear a leash. Would probably eat him not too long after that. Sick man, but you gotta love his dedication."
