LW just...stared at first. She was trying to make her mind believe what her eyes were seeing. Had that...just happened?! Yep. It had. "Oh holy Jack!" The she-wolf was on her feet with Callix clutched tightly in her arms, staring wide eyed at the carpet that was now burning. Why had there been a bonfire in here again?
The she-wolf backed away from her seat and tugged at both Gabrian's and Ren's shirts, looking over to make sure Alessa was up as well. LW wasn't going to just..leave them! She waited until they were all moving before following the line of students rushing out of the room. Once out, she curled her tail around her legs and stared at their Professor with a mixture of pitty that his class had ended this way and confusion as to why he had had thought it smart to put the fire in there in the first place.
He did apologize though and that was good enough for the she-wolf. She sighed and looked down at the batling clinging to her like a leech. Maybe he'd behave for a few days?

Sin was clinging to Pantaloons and snuggling the poor scared Unmentionable. It seemed he didn't like the fire one bit and neither had she to be honest. Luckily they had all managed to get out and she decided it was time to go back to her suite and let Pantaloons be with his mate. This had been an...interesting experience to say the least. She wasn't sure if she would attend another of the professors classes...probably...maybe...so long as they didn't include more fire and whips.

Barth's burning blob, still in his arms, seemed impassive.
Then again, it was used to being on fire. And also pretty stupid. Its owner began making his (very) slow way towards the exit, before forcibly being dragged out the door by the Professor's dog.
He wobbled outside the door, took inventory - jacket, blob...boots were still by the shoe rack, he'd have to get those later, whip. He pocketed the whip. While the device (minipet?) had been less than useful for Glop, he did have an owlkin ghost that seemed intent on vengfully maiming him, if only it was more tangible. He wondered if the whip might be of some use there.

The moment West realized that he got to keep the whip was perhaps the greatest moment he had experienced at school so far. About four minutes later, it was quickly trumped when he noticed the classroom was beginning to burn down. He stood stock still as the flames spread, drinking in the chaos, his lips parted in a faint smile. He wasn't even particularly bothered by memories of Christmas Town and running from the Death Charm. No, this was that awesome. Sadly, the experience was cut short by a sudden sharp tug on his arm as Yaya grabbed at him and started pulling him towards the door. What the hell? "Gettoff!" he muttered with a distracted sort of force, but it was too late. The marid had already pulled him halfway out of the room. Hate, who enjoyed a partially flaming state naturally, continued nodding drowsily near West's old seat until Vlad came to retrieve him. Once they were safely outside, West yanked his arm out of Yaya's grip and stormed back to the demon dorms, missing Professor Malcolm's apology in its entirety. (( smerdle ))

(( Daffu )) Gabrian's gaze had been on Davy when the invisible dog tripped, and only when LW shouted, did the nix look up. The fire before him made him jump to his feet, his arms wrapped around the Floresce, whom looked utterly uncomfortable with the whole situation. For a moment, he found himself staring with a horrified expression at the wild fire, but thankfully, the tug at his shirt seemed to bring him back to his senses. Seeing as how Alessa was nearer to him than the she-wolf, he gave her a warning tug on her shoulder, his eyes never leaving the flames. He waited only until he was certain the rest were moving, and then made a dash for the door. Once safe and sound outside, he unwrapped Davy from where he was clinging around his neck, and checked the Floresce for any sort of damage. In all honesty, the only damage that he could see was that the edge of his cape-cloak was slightly singed. Making a small tsk like sound, Gabrian lifted it up in the air and examined it before Professor Malcom's voice cut through his thoughts. He offered the man a small, calm smile and took the whip, "I'll be back," he told him, and slowly reached out with a free hand to pat Vlad's head, reaching to scratch the dog behind an ear, "I'll seek you out in your office later, Professor, for that minipet play date," it could have been worse, in his opinion. Much, much worse.

(( Sorry for taking so long to reply, I have been so distracted. > A>;; ))
Dasher enjoyed the treat and fixated on Professor Malcom as he lowered himself and spoke. No carpet? So that wasn't grass. Dasher wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt regardless of its flavor, but now that he knew, he didn't really want it anymore. Not when the Reindeer compared it to what he had just eaten. At the appearance of another candy, Dasher strained again to grab it, forgetting about the carpet. Praise for dropping the carpet? That was easy.
Colette accepted the packet of green Fear candy that Professor Malcom had offered, though she felt guilty for just taking it. "Thank you," she said graciously. "I'll try to find something." And she ran off back to her seat with Dasher to try and stuff the packet into her bag without him noticing. Dasher, on the other hand, watched Professor Malcom longingly as he was hauled away. He wanted more, but he was too lazy to struggle against Colette.
When she caught sight of the ghost dog making his way to collect the whips, Colette was relieved, but the abrupt accident that occurred was alarming. Sure, fire was in her fear, but it didn't touch her and it sure wasn't uncontrolled! The Reaper didn't hesitate to listen to Professor Malcom's command, and she grabbed her bag and headed for the exit - Dasher was already in her arms. It felt odd, being able to run so easily, and Colette remembered she had taken off her shoes.
Her shoes! She did not have the pumpkin seeds to go buy pairs willy nilly, and she made a short u-turn to grab 'em and then headed out. She didn't really want to face the barking dog she couldn't see and it wasn't like she planned on burning to a crisp anyway.
After all that had just happened, and the fact that Professor Malcom was kind enough to let her have a packet of the candy, Colette didn't want to argue with the professor. "It's alright, Professor.. Not like you did it on purpose. And, uh, thanks." She really didn't want the whip, but if he insisted, she'd find some place for it in her room.

Sheelah took Ren's note and ate it before giving him a hard look. Apparently that was what she thought of him and his efforts. She wrinkled her nose, and as if suddenly offended she began to struggle again in Alessa's grip, complete with a nasty hissing squeakish sound that lepuses probably rarely ever made. Having to struggle to keep Sheelah from running off who knows where, Alessa completely disregarded Gabe and his rebuttal, which surely would have launched them into another tiff. It took her a long while to calm Sheelah down (or at least resist her until she decided to calm down) and by then she had forgotten what she'd been talking about with everyone. It was embarrassing, but she was relieved to note that the class was ending...
And then everything erupted into chaos. Before she knew it everything seemed to be on fire. Suddenly faced with the immense blaze Alessa's whole body went rigid and still in fear. She felt as if her legs wouldn't move, as if her gaze captured by it, chaining her to the spot. Her body was trembling, but she couldn't seem to get it to move. Vaguely above the fear she heard the barking and the shouts, but it was almost as if she couldn't hear them. She even felt, vaugely, distantly, Gabe's tug on her shoulder and yet she was rooted. She was-
"Ow!" She yelped suddenly, eyes breaking away from the towering flames to look down at her arm. Sheelah had bitten her, hard, and her teeth will still fastened within the wound even as blood came out. Shocked back into awareness, Alessa ran as fast as she could after her friends to escape the room, coughing a bit as the smoke burned her lungs.
Once outside in the hall she paused to catch her breath and then looked down at her first mate lepus. Sheelah was now sitting quietly in her arms, a tense expression on her little face, but one that Alessa found she couldn't read. She was, however, no longer biting her...she glanced at her arm and winced. It was pretty deep, too. She was going to have to wrap it when she got back to he room. Letting out a shuddering breath, she brought the lepus a little closer, perhaps for comfort, and for once Sheelah did not protest. "I-It's okay, professor. Accidents happen." Hopefully...it just wouldn't become a trend in this class.

Riley hadn't really let go of Professor Malcolm too quickly. She was overwhelmed with happiness, after all. So, when she finally realized he was speaking to other students, she pulled herself away and humbly stood near the fire. It's warming presence on her back was soothing, and -
Then all hell broke loose.
There was fire creeping all along the carpet, and Riley inched back, trying not to let it touch the edges of her dress. The professor's loud cry had her already moving for the door, but not before looking back in worry. This would not bode well for.. wait a minute. Was that - whatever it was - carrying Malodore off? Well then.
She quickly followed after feeling assured that everyone would be safe.
The situation was handled, with no one hurt. Therefore, Riley really had no reason to -hate- the professor or his pet. After all, at least a little excitement made things interesting. She hefted her still-sleeping Cthulhu over her shoulder and moved to find Malodore.
You okay? She murmured hesitantly, once she had located him. She was pretty confident that Malodore would want nothing more than to get away from this class as soon as possible.

His note had been eaten. Ren looked at Sheelah for a moment, slightly surprised, but then he let out a laugh of amusement, shaking his head. "My, you are a feisty one, aren't you?" he started to say, but he was somewhat interrupted by the fact that the classroom, which had been normal (if not slightly odd) for the better part of the class, was, in fact, on fire.
Literally. It took Ren a moment to realize just what was happening, but after a second of dumb staring, he pushed back from his chair, scooping Rhys up into his arms.
"Time to run, mischief maker," he said breezily, starting to make his way out of the classroom with the rest of the throngs of the students. Standing beside LW and Gabrian, he turned back briefly, to make sure that he had everything, and his eyes landed on a familiar young woman still sitting in the room.
"Alessa!" Ren shouted, above the racuous noises of the frightened, confused, and generally freaked out students, although a good part of them seemed perfectly at ease. "Alessa!"
What is she doing? he wondered, brows drawing together. He tried to move back to get her, but before he could he saw her jump suddenly, looking down at the lepus in her arms before leaping to her feet, dashing from the room. Ren caught her arm before she could collide with any of them.
"Are you all right?" he asked, frowning a bit at the bite to her arm (must have been her lepus that had caused her to jump; it looked pretty bad), but instead of waiting for an answer, he reached up, untying the bandanna from his neck and wrapping it around her forearm with experienced movements. On his shoulder, Rhys was clutching tightly to his hair, trying to look as if he wasn't scared in the slightest (but failing rather miserably).
"Gotta be prepared; us gryphons tend to get into a lot of fights," he said, and winked at her before turning his attention to their somewhat distraught professor.
"Well," he said to no one in particular, sticking his hands in his pockets and lifting his eyebrow in a vaguely amused expression. "That, was, uh. An interesting class. Certainly gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'going out with a bang,' doesn't it?"

The instant the fire began to spread, an instinctive jolt of fear shot up Malodore's spine, making its back-blades rise like hackles. It shoved Parassiti under one arm, picked up the length of its coat with the other - because when things were burning, people seeing your bones didn't damn matter! - and... ... was suddenly and unceremoniously scooped up by something. The plague doctor yelped and released its coat, grabbing frantically onto the brim of its hat as it was carried off in the mouth of a... blue beast?! And then it was dumped off, outside the classroom. Malodore allowed itself to sink to the ground, automatically adjusting its hat on its head. Well. That nicely proved that setting a fire in a room with flammable carpet was the height of idiocy.... " Lo sto bene, grazie," it murmured to Riley as it tried to stop the world spinning. (( Sosiqui))

Natalia was brimming with excitement, mostly because of what the Professor had just said...she was a good owner! A great one even, and that alone would inspire motivation out of anyone!
Okay, so not that alone. As soon as the carpet set on fire Natalia was on her feet like the rest of them and moving away in a timely manner. Her hands reached out to grab on to Ren's shirt, since suddenly the ghoul felt the need to see a familiar face and to share her uneasiness with, but missed it in all of the chaos. Instead she escaped and gave a kind nod in the Professors direction.
There was no way Natalia would ever think wrongly of Prof. Malcom, unless he turned around and called her a terrible owner. Then...that would be a different story. Making her way back to her dorm, still clutching onto the whip and Right On, Natalia felt very lucky to have escaped.
Although she couldn't figure out why a flaming room felt so familiar.(( Shia))

(( Profile!)) Junko had been coddling her foxes when it happened. Her back was to the fire, she didn't notice at first when Vlad went too close to it...until she smelled the smoke, and even Kuro was freaking out on her shoulder. Kuro, despite his tendencies to be overly excited because of Sayuri, was a relatively well behaved fox...he didn't flip out over things often. Or ever. So for him to be digging his tiny claws into Junko's shoulder and howling and shrieking in her ear was a big deal. Junko didn't even get a chance to really react, however, when suddenly her arm was grabbed and she was dragged out of the room with Professor Malcolm ordering them all to get out. Junko held tightly onto both her foxes as best as she could, hurrying after Yaya. That fire had been a horrible idea after all! When they were out of the room she pulled her arm free from Yaya to hug her shaking foxes, nuzzling at them and cooing quietly to calm them down. Sayuri didn't see the fire but the sudden chaos had stirred her and now she was wide awake and freaking out alongside Kuro now. "Shhh, shhh! It's okay. I've got you both. Shhh, I won't let anything hurt you." She cooed to them, frowning toward the professor. Accidents happened. She wouldn't fault him for that. Despite the fire it was her favorite class so far! Honest! "It's alright, professor. Next time. And thank you for the whip and the advice. Um...are we free to go?" Junko would normally leave with Yaya but...she really wanted to go 'minipet proof' her room now and see about setting up a little play area for them. She needed a playpen! Those shouldn't be hard to find, right?

Having just shoved the whip into Aymet's hand, Cyrilla turned to see the fire starting to spread. The dracolich ghoul let out a sharp shriek, Star jumping up on her shoulder as she froze in place, panic coursing through her body. How could this have happened? What was going on? The shoe rack wasn't enough of a barrier, they were going to b-...
Her thoughts were cut off as she found herself unceremoniously tossed up onto the back of a rather large blue creature. Merope in front of her, she latched her arms around the boils back, burying her head into it. When they were dropped off, she stayed practically glued to him, the panic taking it's time to ease away. She felt a shame slowly adding itself into the mix as she hung back near the two other undead dragons, embarrassed by her reaction.
Stupid fire.
She did enjoy the class, she really did. There was no real blame to be laid on the teacher (outside of WRY PUT FIRE IN A CLASS WITH UNDEAD IN IT IN THE FIRST PLACE AUGH) and was slightly calmed by his speech.
Well, looked like Aymet was gonna get a whip anyways, so least she'd have one too.
"Uh, you guys wanna chill in my place for awhile tonight?" she quietly prodded Aymet and Merope, maybe a couple of rounds of Hexbox would make everything better.

It was as if it had happened in slow-motion. The box falling, the dog panicking, the box bursting into flame. Merope had enough foresight to grab onto Seacrest (who “YIP!”d in protest) and cling to her tightly, his fins pressing flat against him as the fire grew. Fire, fire, fi- wait, he was a sea monster! He had no fear of fire! He could easily pu- no. No, he couldn't put it out since there was a distinct lack of fire. He jumped as he was picked up and tossed onto a creature's back. It was blue! Was it water?! It was blue like water which reminded him OF water therefore it was good, yes? He clung to it as Cyrilla clung to him before he and other undead students were whisked away to safety. Then unceremoniously dumped outside of the classroom, left to stare in bewilderment in their surroundings. He closed his right eye, leaving the other to flicker and dim as he took a slow, deep breath. “Th-thank you, professor,” Merope's voice cracked as he spoke. Next time, Merope promised to himself to bring a bottle of water. Just in case. As Cyrilla poked him, he looked at her and nodded. “Y-yeah. I think I'll go swimming for a bit first? If either of you are interested, you can come along too. As long as Aymet doesn't create too many ice cubes innit, and you don't steal my coins again, Cyr.” he joked shakily, trying to regain a grip on reality. (( Marushii ))

Christof had been so preoccupied trying to catch his misbehaving scareon that he never even got a chance to questin the whip- honestly it seemed like a good idea to him. Maybe that would get Scruff to stop eating his spare parts while he was sleeping. All thoughts of this were suddenly halted, patchwork scareon in his arms as suddenly there was FIRE! Fire EVERYWHERE!! The patchwork Igor's inherent fear of fire and burning and associated mobs and pitchforks but mostly burning had locked him into place in terror before SOMETHING large and horrible leaped at him from behind, practically strangling him as he was dragged from the room. Oh, Hell's Bell's!! At least he was away from the burning, even if he feel silly about his 'escape'. ((So sorry to have gone quiet! I got swamped in work ;3; ))Minipet Profile: Bilious
